New 'treetop' resort will open in Wisconsin Dells this spring
An Instagram-worthy, treetop resort is coming to Wisconsin Dells.
Venture Luxury Estates, part of Uphoff Resorts, has announced plans to open the Treetop Villas at Mirror Lake this spring.
The resort will contain four resort-style rentals located near the company's forthcoming The Original 1855 Dawn Manor Restaurant, which will open concurrently with the Treetop Villas.
Despite the name, the accommodations aren't actually up in a tree a la the Tree Hotel in Harads, Sweden. They are, however, elevated with an enviable view and easy access to the water slide-rich heart of Wisconsin Dells.
'The Treetop Villas are a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat that seamlessly blends contemporary architecture with the natural beauty and rich history of Mirror Lake,' Steve Uphoff, CEO of Uphoff Resorts, says in a statement. 'Every tree possible has been preserved, providing guests with an immersive stay in the treetops overlooking this stunning landscape."
Currently under construction, the compound will have three villas, which each contain two bedrooms and two bathrooms. With a sleeper sofa, they're able to house six guests.
The fourth unit features four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, suited to up to 10 guests. All of those treetop suites are "cantilevered over the sandstone cliffs" with "breathtaking views of the natural lake and ravines below," according to the company's announcement.
In addition to access to a 10-person communal sauna, guests will find each of the units appointed with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, washer and dryer, and a wardrobe that comes with skis and snowboard equipment. Each suite's back deck also features a fire pit and lake-facing hot tub.
The Treetop Villas at Mirror Lake will open close to the Original 1855 Dawn Manor Restaurant, a period-themed restaurant that the company announced last summer in partnership with the St. Paul-based Morrissey Hospitality. Venture Luxury Estates is now accepting reservations for the treetop

The Dubai-based exchange, which ranks second globally by volume, said Circle's oversubscribed offering and first-week surge underscore rising institutional appetite for crypto equities. Analysts at Bybit believe Wall Street significantly underpriced the deal, underestimating demand and the sector's valuation dynamics. Advertisement The Circle IPO isn't just about one companyit's a signal that crypto is being taken seriously in traditional markets, the report noted. The Bybit Crypto Insights report names six other crypto-native companies preparing for public listings, including blockchain security firm Fireblocks and data analytics provider Chainalysis. Each is expected to draw multi-billion-dollar valuations amid a friendlier regulatory environment under the new U.S. administration. Exclusive: Security startup Maze finds way to $25M Series A
Maze, an agentic AI startup for cloud security, raised a $25 million Series A led by Theory Ventures, co-founder and CEO Harry Wetherald tells Axios Pro. Why it matters: The exploitation of vulnerabilities jumped by 34% last year with increasing cloud adoption. How it works: London-based Maze deploys thousands of agents to investigate customer's cloud data and identify and fix vulnerabilities. State of play: Other startups are riding the excitement for agentic AI. In April, Cynomi, a cybersecurity agentic AI platform for service providers, raised a $37 million Series B, and agentic AI security operations center startup Exaforce locked up $75 million in Series A. "The emerging capabilities of AI will transform security," says Andy Triedman, a partner at Theory Ventures. "The question isn't will this work? The question is who is going to win?" Zoom in: Existing investors Cherry Ventures and Tapestry VC also participated in the new round. It comes just nine months after Maze raised a $6 million seed round led by Cherry Ventures. What they're saying:"Investor interest came to us as security is going to go through a big change thanks to AI," Wetherald said.
