TOFS previously warned it would have to shut some "loss-making" locations after struggling in recent years.
Eight closures were known of before but we can reveal a further two are shutting next month, taking the total to 10.
The stores in Chester-le-Street in County Durham and in Perth, Scotland, are both shutting on June 28.
Among the other locations closing for good are Shaftesbury, Staveley, Arbroath, Milford Haven and Peterhead.
The Chester-le-Street store announced its closure in a Facebook post, saying the "rumours were true" and it was shutting "with great sadness".
"It's been a pleasure bringing you all the great deals over the last 2 years, getting to know our regulars," it said.
Commenters appeared devastated, with one person writing: "Absolutely gutted. I get loads of stuff in there. So sad about this."
Another said: "I love this shop and the staff are amazing. So sorry for you all."
Before it disappears from the high street, the store is holding a clearance sale with discounts of up to 30% off.
It told shoppers to "come grab yourselves some bargains" but asked them to be "respectful" to the staff as they are "devastated" by the closure.
Beloved department store chain shutting more locations with clearance sales on now until final May 25 deadline
The Perth store also posted an announcement on Facebook, saying it hoped shoppers would "pop in to see us before we close".
"We have loved serving you and being part of the community over the last 18 months," it said.
The store is currently holding a 30% off closing down sale, with items including clothes, garden essentials and electricals all discounted.
The Sun has reached out to TOFS for comment on the latest closure announcements.
There are now 10 TOFS locations closing in the coming weeks.
The full list of stores closing

Chester Le Street, County Durham - June 28
Arbroath, Angus - June 28

Pershore, Worcestershire - June 28

Staveley, Cumbria - July 12
The first to close is Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire on June 26.
Eight shops are closing on June 28, while Staveley in Cumbria is shutting for good on July 12.
The Nairn store is listed as up for sale, but TOFS has told The Sun that negotiations are ongoing with the landlord.
Therefore it is unclear whether the shop will remain open.
Meanwhile the Cupar store said in March it was negotiating with its landlord over an extended lease, meaning it could possibly be at risk.
The Sun has put this to TOFS.
What's been happening with The Original Factory Shop?
Private equity firm Modella bought The Original Factory Shop back in February and has since launched a restructuring effort to renegotiate rents at 88 TOFS stores.
Modella is known for picking up struggling retailers, having also recently acquired Hobbycraft and WHSmith's high street shops.
It is set to rebrand all WHSmith high street stores to TGJones, and has brought in advisers to look at potential options for Hobbycraft.
At the end of April, Modella drew up plans to initiate a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) for TOFS.
Companies often use CVAs to prevent insolvency, which could otherwise result in store closures or the collapse of the entire business.
They allow firms to explore different strategies such as negotiating reduced rent rates with landlords.
TOFS previously told The Press and Journal that a "number of loss-making stores will have to close" as part of the restructuring.
It said at the time: "Closing stores is always a tough decision and we are committed to keeping as many stores open as possible.
"This is, however, dependent on successful negotiations with landlords as we strive to build a sustainable and successful business for the future."
The Original Factory shop has already shuttered more than a dozen stores over the past 12 months.
These are the locations that closed in 2024:
Brightlingsea, Essex
Bodmin, Cornwall
Chepstow, Wales
Fakenham, Norfolk
Harwich, Essex
Mildenhall, Suffolk
Padiham, Lancashire
Taunton, Somerset
Deal, Kent
Haverfordwest, Wales.

Signings and sales - your transfer window priorities
We asked for you to tell us what Brighton need to do in the summer transfer are some of your comments:Leon: Keeping players should be our goal this transfer window. We've built a fantastic squad with lots of depth and potential. We need to break the mentality of being a feeder club to ever see that potential Sadly, Danny Welbeck has more career behind him than in front so we desperately need a proven striker. The same could be said about Lewis Dunk so a replacement there would be A lot depends on whether we lose anyone, but I think we need a striker and a right-back. I'd like us to sign Bryan Mbeumo and Kyle Walker-Peters. That should do the We had a huge spending spree last summer so I can't see a lot of incoming faces. If Tariq Lamptey is going to go this summer, we need a new right-back. Joel Veltman is in his twilight years (albeit still outstanding) and Mats Wieffer is a stop-gap rather than long term. We might need a striker if Joao Pedro goes, but I would love nothing more than for Evan Ferguson to come back and find his form again - he is a special I would say Brighton need to get Pascal Gross back in the team. He was making assists for fun. If we could find a like-for-like replacement then I'd be very happy. Would be interesting to see if Ferguson comes back and gets his head down. He has the ability but does he have the mentality?Ian: Whatever it takes, we need to keep hold of Kaoru Mitoma.

Dunelm shoppers praise 'silky soft' bedding that turns bedroom into a 'luxury hotel'
'Top class duvet set, extremely comfy and quality material can't fault one bit.' If Brits are wanting to add a summery vibe to their bedrooms to reflect the warm and vibrant season, Dunelm currently has a massive sale on their bedding sets that will instantly change the vibe of the room. From plain coloured sets to ones decorated in beautifully detailed designs, there is a bedding set available for everyone at a bargain price in the sale. One set currently reduced by Dunelm has been claimed by shoppers to be the "best they have ever had". The Dorma Love Bird Cotton Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set is retailing between £37.50 and £125 depending on the size you require, and the stunning set currently boasts an impressive 4.8 star rating from shoppers. Boasting a "beautiful reversible print" and a 10-year guarantee, reports the Mirror, the bedding set comes in three gorgeous colours - teal blue, seafoam blue or lavender. However, if shoppers want to snap up the deal, they will need to choose between the teal and lavender editions which are priced between £37.50 and £62.50. Fans of the stunning seafoam edition will need to pay a bit more as prices start at £75 for a single and soar to £125 for a superking. All of the Dorma sets are adorned with a colourful pair of peacocks that are nested within beautifully designed printed blooms. On the reverse, shoppers can enjoy a subtle leaf print design. These designs are printed on an "exceptionally soft" 100 per cent cotton on a 300 thread count sateen to deliver a ultra soft and cosy feel. Along with matching pillowcases, each piece is finished off with a sleek zip closure for extra ease when putting on and off. £37.50 - £62.50 Dunelm Buy Now Product Description If this gorgeous set is a tad on the expensive side, Debenhams is also selling the Catherine Lansfield 'Meadowsweet Floral' Duvet Set. Available in five colours - green, white, grey, pink and blue - shoppers can either enjoy a floral design or flip over and use the striped side instead. A single is currently selling for £17, while a superking is £35. Alternatively, Next is selling a striped duvet set that comes in nine different colours. Prices for the Yard Natural Hebden Striped 100% Cotton Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set range from £26 to £50 depending on the duvet size, and shoppers say they "couldn't ask for more" from this set. Back to Dunelm, the Dorma Love Bird Bedding has earned itself an impressive 4.8 star rating from 56 shoppers, with a whopping 52 of them giving the set five stars. One delighted shopper simply wrote: "Top class duvet set, extremely comfy and quality material can't fault one bit." With another customer praising: "Extremely pleased with this duvet set. The fabric is good quality and the subtle colours look beautiful in my bedroom." However, one three-star reviewer gave a mixed response, writing: "Material good but pattern looks faded. Such a shame as it could be so pretty. "The photos online make the images look brighter and more colourful than they are. Disappointing. I had to order it as my local Dunelm did not stock the lilac so i don't know if all are the same." However, the vast majority of shoppers were pleased with their purchase. One five-star reviewer said: "This is the best bedding we've ever had! Treated ourselves during the sale, and so pleased we did. The cotton sateen is so soft and the love birds design is gorgeous. Our bedroom looks like a luxury hotel now." While a further shopper urged other customers to buy the set, adding: "You will not be disappointed by the quality and silky softness of this product. Japan ambassador tries Irn-Bru on visit to whisky distillery
His Excellency Hiroshi Suzuki – as he is styled – toured the Auchentoshan Distillery in Clydebank with First Minister John Swinney as the two discussed trade, including Scotland's national drink. But during his first visit to Scotland, he tried the nation's other national drink. Suzuki had tried Irn-Bru earlier during his visit but some Scots had urged him to taste the original 1901 recipe, which was phased out following the sugar tax. READ MORE: Man reunited with father's wartime documents found hidden in desk Handed a can by press, the Japanese ambassador said he was a big fan. 'It was fantastic,' he said. 'In my life, I have never had it before, but it was just, just great.' After taking a gulp of the older recipe Irn-Bru, he added: 'It is just great,' while giving it a thumbs up. The ambassador has become well-known online for trying different foods around the UK. A picture posted on Twitter/X of Suzuki trying a teacake gained more than 46,000 likes, while his video of eating haggis gained more than 800,000 views on the platform. Following a tour of the Auchentoshan Distillery, which is owned by the Japanese whisky firm Suntory, Suzuki said Japanese people loved Scottish whisky. He said Scotland was a 'very important' trading partner for Japan, adding: 'Japanese people love things like Scotch whisky, Scottish salmon, and recently, mackerel has been a great success. 'For the last couple of years, the export of mackerel from Scotland to Japan grew 10 times.' The diplomat took part in a whisky tasting session with the First Minister, trying three drams. Swinney said that Auchentoshan Distillery was an 'excellent example' of the partnership between Scotland and Japan. He said: 'It's been my pleasure over the last couple of days to host a visit from the Japanese ambassador to Scotland. 'We've been using our time to cement links and connections between Scotland and Japan, and particularly yesterday, to engage with Japanese businesspeople who are investing in Scotland and who recognise Scotland as an attractive destination for investment, particularly in renewable energy, but also in life sciences, and as we see from our visit here today, in the whisky industry as well.'
