Plant City police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday night.
Police say there were reports of shots fired in the 900 block of Waller Street around 9:30 p.m. and a 21-year-old man was found dead at a home within the 2900 block of Forest Hammock Drive.

PLANT CITY, Fla. - Plant City police are investigating a homicide after they say a man was shot to death on Wednesday night.

According to the Plant City Police Department, officers went to the 900 block of Waller Street around 9:30 p.m. to investigate a report of shots fired.
While dispatchers were communicating with officers, the communications center got more information that a victim may be injured.

Authorities confirmed that an injured victim was at a home within the 2900 block of Forest Hammock Drive.
Upon arrival, police found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Lakeland Regional Healthcare, where he later died from his injuries.

"Our hearts go out to the victim's family as they endure this unimaginable loss," said Chief Richard Mills. "We are doing everything in our power working tirelessly and using every available resource to uncover the truth and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice."

HK bans 'seditious' mobile game about fighting communists
Hong Kong residents found downloading or sharing a mobile game app about defeating the communist regime may be punished under national security laws, police have said. According to the website for Reversed Front: Bonfire, players can "pledge allegiance" to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Tibet or Uyghurs, among other options, "to overthrow the Communist regime". In a statement on Tuesday, police warned that those who download the game "may be regarded as in possession of a publication that has a seditious intention". "'Reversed Front: Bonfire' was released under the guise of a game with the aim of promoting secessionist agendas such as 'Taiwan independence' and 'Hong Kong independence'," said the police statement. "Those who have downloaded the application should uninstall it immediately and must not attempt to defy the law." As of Wednesday, the game - which was launched in April - is no longer accessible on Google Play or Apple's App Store from Hong Kong. In Court According to a doctor's report returned in court on Tuesday, 37-year-old Matthew Novak is not competent to stand trial. Novak's attorney challenged the report's findings. It lasted nearly 38 hours and ended with the suspect – since identified as Novak – in custody on Saturday morning, May 10. The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office said a man with weapons had barricaded himself inside a home and was "extremely dangerous." After Novak was taken into custody, the sheriff's office said there was no longer a threat to the public. Police say suspect taken into custody after standoff in Edwardsville
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Edwardsville Police Department says a suspect is in custody following a standoff Tuesday night. Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the standoff with a wanted person. According to the Edwardsville Police Department, just before 7 p.m., multiple agencies attempted to arrest the suspect in the 100 block of Beach Street. Edwardsville police said officers encountered the suspect barricade himself within his home. During the standoff, police restricted the area for the safety of residents and law enforcement personnel. Police reported just after 8:30 p.m. that the suspect was taken into custody without further incident and that the scene was cleared.
