Gang targets 'high value' whisky in raid on Highland distillery
A gang stole £1,600 worth of 'high value' bottles of whisky in a raid on a distillery on the Isle of Skye on Sunday.
The theft took place at the Talisker Distillery – the island's oldest – in the village of Carbost.
Police are now looking for four suspects, three men and one woman.
All four are said to have been of Asian appearance.
They targeted the distillery at about 12.30pm on May 4.
Police issued descriptions of the suspects.
The first male is of slim build, around 30 years of age, has dark short hair and dark stubble/a short beard.
He was wearing dark glasses, a blue denim top with cream fleece lining and dark trousers.
The second male suspect is said to be of slim build, aged about 30, with dark stubble around his chin and lip.
He was wearing a dark Superdry cap, a dark t-shirt with a dark jacket and dark jeans.
Like the other two, the third male suspect is of slim build and is about 30 years of age.
He is described as having dark medium length hair.
At the time, he was wearing dark rimmed glasses, a dark button jacket with a white top underneath and light trousers.
The female suspect in the Skye theft is thought to be about 30-years-old and has long dark hair.
She was wearing two pairs of glasses, a dark jacket, dark skirt/dress and Converse-style platform shoes.
Anyone who can give any information about the identity of the persons described is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.

Police swarmed an industrial building in the Inverclyde town on Thursday morning. Five men have appeared in court charged with drug offences after police raided an industrial building in Greenock on Thursday. All five were charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act. None of the men entered a plea, and they were all remanded in custody. Their next court appearance is expected to be within eight days. Police are looking into an industrial estate robbery in Caswell Way
On Monday June 2 four unknown men reportedly took a significant amount of cash from a parked van in the Reevesland Industrial Estate Caswell Way at around 3.20pm The men arrived and left the scene in a Blue Audi S3 - licence plate MH16 00A. Police are appealing for witnesses and want to establish the movements of the car, before and after the report of the robbery. All four men wore face coverings and were dressed all in black – black trousers, hooded tops, and trainers. The car was later found abandoned in Lysaght Village, Newport and it is believed that the men left the area in a different vehicle. Two men, aged 34 and 38, from Bristol were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody. Senior investigating officer, DCI David Morris said: 'We're trying to establish the movements of the car, and the four men, before and after the report of the robbery. 'We're asking for businesses and motorists who were in the Reevesland Industrial Estate between 2pm and 3.30pm on Monday 2 June to check their CCTV and dashcam footage. 'We'd also ask that residents of Lysaght Village and the surrounding areas also check their CCTV and come forward if they have seen anything suspicious over the last few days to help with our investigation.' 'Mass shooting' thwarted at Michigan high school graduation; one suspect arrested, another at large, officials say
What began as a fist fight at a high school graduation in Michigan on Tuesday has turned into a search for a 20-year-old suspect in what officials are calling a prevented mass shooting attempt. Oakland County authorities are searching for 20-year-old Jamarion Jaryante Hardiman — who is currently on probation for a weapons offense — in connection with the attempt at the Arts and Technology Academy of Pontiac (ATAP) graduation, Sheriff Michael Bouchard announced in a press conference on Friday. Another 19-year-old suspect is in custody, whose identity is not being released until charges are filed. Bouchard said the 19-year-old suspect also has a criminal history involving weapons. Oakland County Sheriff deputies were initially dispatched at 6:40 p.m. to the graduation held at the United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) property for a fight. A person approached deputies at the scene and informed them a family member had seen a threat posted on Snapchat to shoot up the ceremony, Bouchard said. Authorities are not sure of the post's specific wording, as it has been taken down, but witnesses said it was along the lines of "was going to shoot up the crowd," Bouchard said. The two suspects, both Pontiac residents, were identified as individuals who were part of the fight and had been seen putting packages under cars in the parking lot when authorities arrived, according to Bouchard. Working with the UWM security team and their camera system, officials recovered two fully-loaded weapons at the scene. Each weapon also had a 40-round magazine. "So just those two weapons without changing magazines, had 80 rounds of potential firepower," Bouchard said. "Shooting into a graduation, you can only imagine the outcome of that." One of the suspects, who Bouchard did not specify, was carrying a pink, AR-style pistol with the loaded magazine in a backpack that was stashed under a vehicle when officers arrived. The other weapon recovered was a Glock semi-automatic handgun with a 40-round stick magazine. It is unknown if the suspects once attended the charter school, but Bouchard said they did have friends and relatives at the graduation and "ongoing disputes with individuals in the community." The sheriff said the motive behind the attempted shooting is unclear. The other parties involved in the disputes are not cooperating with authorities, according to Bouchard. "While a brief physical altercation did take place inside the venue, it was quickly handled by staff and security, and those involved were promptly removed," the school wrote in a social media post. "Thankfully, no one within the ceremony was harmed, and we were able to continue and complete our beautiful commencement celebration without further disruption." The 19-year-old suspect fled the scene, but was found after the graduation. Bouchard said he is 'confident' Hardiman will be located. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding Hardiman's whereabouts to call 911. Bouchard advised community members not to try to apprehend or approach the suspect. When asked by reporters if Bouchard had anything to say to Hardiman, he replied: 'Turn yourself in. One way or another we're going to get you. Make it easier on yourself and the community.'
