Lauren Kyle took to Instagram to share a snapshot of her playoff-ready ensemble, and fans of both fashion and hockey were quick to take notice. She wore a navy blue custom Oilers Wives and Girlfriends (WAG) jacket, designed by Sports Club Atelier.
The front of the jacket was personalized with McDavid's iconic number 97 on the left and 'Oilers Playoffs 2025' on the right. The back featured bold lettering that read 'Edmonton Oilers Hockey' with 'McDavid' stitched underneath — a fashionable tribute to her superstar husband.
To complete the look, Lauren layered the jacket over a crisp white tank top and added a touch of sophistication with high-waisted jeans, a burgundy belt, and a matching purse. Gold jewelry and slicked-back hair finished the ensemble, perfectly balancing casual playoff energy with personal flair.

While Lauren's outfit drew attention off the ice, Connor McDavid was doing what he does best on the ice. The Oilers captain added an assist during Edmonton's 3-0 shutout win over Vegas, contributing to a dominant team effort. Adam Henrique led the scoring with two early goals, and Evander Kane sealed the deal with a third-period tally.
McDavid now has 16 points in the postseason, continuing his elite playoff form after his 42-point Conn Smythe performance last year.

In the comment, he said, 'He's [Lebron] going to have to show me he's better than me. ' The comment was made during the pre-draft interview when he spoke to The Washington Post about how he planned to move ahead after selection in the 2022 NBA draft. Bennedict scored 27 points in the recent Game 3 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on June 11, becoming the sixth player to score 25+ points off the bench in a Finals game. What Bennedict Mathurin actually said about LeBron James Bennedict Mathurin is the latest newsmaker as he joined an elite NBA Finals club of players who have scored 25+ points in a Finals game at 22 years and younger. The young player joined the likes of Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Tony Parker in this feat. As the NBA announced on X, an old comment by him surfaced, where he sort of challenged LeBron James while expressing his thoughts on being drafted as an NBA player. When he was picked in the 2022 NBA draft, he spoke to a Washington Post reporter and said: 'A lot of people say he's great. I want to see how great he is. I don't think anybody is better than me. He's going to have to show me he's better than me.' The comment then stirred NBA circles, and almost every interviewer asked him where he got the confidence from. In one of the interviews by BlacktopBuckets' YouTube Channel, he was again asked to reflect on his audacious comment. This time, however, he was a bit cautious while answering, and said: 'I mean, this is pretty the way I wanted to say it before I had to clarify my comment, but everybody came at me. But, um like you said, you know i'm a rookie coming to the league i won't let anybody you know i won't say anybody's better than me yeah i'm gonna have to go out there and uh people have to show me that they're better than me so well yeah.' Further in the same interview, he clarified why he was always so confident. Attributing his traits to family, he said that he got confidence from his family. Talking about the growing years that shaped his confidence, he said: 'You know, growing up, I always wanted to be the best at everything I was doing. Um, I just never let anybody tell me I couldn't do anything, so um, and I never let you know everything. I used to do I used to prove people wrong. So you know I'm just looking forward to to back up my things like you said, but also, um, learning, yeah.' Bennedict Mathurin's Game 3 performance earned him a place alongside elite players like LeBron James NBA shared important information on its X account, naming the players who have scored 25+ points in a finals game when they were 22 or younger. Bennedict Mathurin became the latest entry on this list after his performance in Game 3. He scored 27 points playing as a reserve contingent and evened the record of Jason Terry since 2011. Terry scored 27 points in the clincher Game 6 of the Finals series in 2011. The Indiana Pacers won Game 3 116-107, leading the series by 2-1. With his performance, Mathurin became the sixth player to net 25+ points in a finals game at 22 or younger. It began as a simple, feel-good video, Edmonton Oilers fans Darin and Eric were casually shopping in team gear. When approached by social media personality Zachery Dereniowski, widely known as MDMotivator, who is known for his emotionally charged surprise giveaways, Dereniowski offered the brothers an offer that felt too good to be true: Stanley Cup Final tickets for just one dollar. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now But the surprises didn't stop there. Alongside the tickets, the brothers were handed $1,000 in cash. To create something unforgettable, for Oilers fans, seeing their hero directly involved in the giveaway only amplified the emotional impact. Edmonton Oilers brothers make an unexpected, generous gesture While still processing the incredible gift, the brothers did something few could have predicted. This spontaneous act of generosity wasn't staged or prompted; it was the kind of raw humanity that rarely appears in viral content. The brothers' instinct to share rather than keep underscored the true spirit of hockey culture and community. That decision is what transformed this from a fan-focused surprise into a moment that echoed far beyond sports. The emotional ending and the Gretzky connection As if the day couldn't get more special, Darin and Eric were later invited to meet Wayne Gretzky himself, the hockey legend, who greeted them warmly. Additionally, they signed jerseys, making the already unforgettable moment even more deeply personal. Read more: In a world that often feels divided.
