Title: England U19s go for European glory
Content: BBC Sport
England's future generations will be in action when the men's and women's European Under-19 Championships take place this month.
Spain are the most successful nation since the Women's Under-19 Euros began in its current format in 2001-02.
They have won six titles and come into this year's tournament as the three-time defending champions.
Germany have also won what is now known as the Under-19s Euros six times, but two of those triumphs came before the tournament was rebranded from an under-18 competition.
England's sole women's victory came in 2009, and they were beaten finalists in 2007, 2010 and 2013.

Stockport sign Doncaster centre-back Olowu

Stockport County have made their first signing of the summer transfer window after agreeing a three-year deal with Doncaster Rovers defender Joseph 25-year-old centre-back was a regular in Rovers' League Two title-winning campaign last season and turned down the club's offer of a new contract to join came through the academy system at Charlton Athletic before continuing his development at failing to break into the Gunners' first team, Olowu moved to Doncaster in September 2021 and went on to make 144 appearances. County boss Dave Challinor, who signed a new three-year deal 24 hours earlier, said he was "great business" to sign Olowu and knows the player thought hard about leaving the Keepmoat Stadium."I know it was a big decision for him, as he'd had a great season and enjoyed his time there," Challinor said."He was a player that we tried to sign in January, but understandably Doncaster wanted to keep him in to assist in their objective, which they achieved. "To pick him up on a free transfer is great business for us and in my opinion we have a player who is in his prime years, but also has real development in him."Stockport are preparing for another shot at promotion from League One next season after losing in the semi-finals of the play-offs last term.

Mykhaylo Mudryk: Chelsea winger could face four-year ban after being charged over alleged doping

Chelsea player Mykhaylo Mudryk is facing a potential ban of up to four years after being charged by the Football Association (FA) with doping offences. The Ukraine international was provisionally suspended in December after returning a positive drug test, reportedly for the banned substance meldonium. At the time, the 24-year-old said the result came as "a complete shock" and stated he had "not done anything wrong". Chelsea added that he had "never knowingly used any banned substances". In a statement on Wednesday, the FA said: "We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with anti-doping rule violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of regulations three and four of the FA's anti-doping regulations." The positive result occurred shortly after the winger returned from international duty with Ukraine in November. After being absent from Chelsea for four games, before his suspension was made public, the club's manager Enzo Maresca initially said Mudryk was unavailable through illness. He last played in the Premier League on 10 November as a second-half substitute in a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal. Since his £88m move from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, Mudryk has scored just 10 goals in 73 appearances in all competitions and has rarely held down a regular place in the team. Since Maresca took over at Chelsea in July 2024, most of Mudryk's games have come in the cup competitions and in Europe, with just a single Premier League start in August's 6-2 win over Wolves. Earlier this month Mudryk's number 10 shirt was allocated to midfielder Cole Palmer for next season, leaving him without a squad number at Stamford Bridge. Mudryk has made no public comment on the case since a statement on Instagram in December in which he denied wrongdoing. The player also said that he remained "hopeful that I will be back on the pitch soon."

There's a lot going on. So I thought, let's make it easy." He has also changed his handle on Instagram from 'trentarnold66' to 'trent'.
