
N.S. RCMP seeks suspect after woman reports sex assault on Cole Harbour trail

The RCMP is looking for a suspect after a woman reported a sexual assault on a trail in Cole Harbour, N.S., Tuesday night.
Police say they learned about the incident on Thursday.
The 44-year-old woman told police she was walking on the trail between Poplar Drive and Cranberry Crescent around 9 p.m. when a man approached her from behind. She said the man assaulted and then sexually assaulted her before she managed to fight him off.
Police say the woman suffered minor injuries.
The male suspect is described as six feet tall and 230 pounds. He has brown eyes and a goatee. He was wearing a black hoodie with a white logo and a black ball cap.
The RCMP is asking anyone with information about the incident or video surveillance footage from the area to contact police at 902-490-5020 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
