ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A historic agreement between feuding parties in northeast Syria (Rojava) that outlines unified Kurdish demands for the new authorities in Damascus will be announced to the public early next week, a senior party official said on Friday.
'I can give the good news to our people that we, both sides, have concluded the agreement. The agreement consists of two sections: one is about the general view of Kurds about Syria and the second one is about the Kurdish rights in Syria and their resolution. We have discussed and concluded this issue together and we have reached an agreement in this regard. This was a very important thing,' Mohammed Ismail, president of the Kurdish National Council (KNC/ENKS), told Rudaw's Nalin Hassan.
ENKS is an umbrella organization of opposition parties in Rojava that is a rival to the ruling Democratic Union Party (PYD). Washington and Paris urged them to resume stalled unity talks and join forces in Damascus after the fall of dictator Bashar al-Assad.
An American representative was present at an important meeting between them in Qamishli on Tuesday when the agreement was finalized, Ismail confirmed. The French representative was not present because he was on leave, but 'he will come in the coming couple of days too,' he added.
Mazloum Abdi, commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), was also at the meeting.
Ismail said the agreement does not include the political or personal interests of any one person or party. 'They are all Kurdish points that Kurds have been struggling for since 1957,' he said.
The ENKS president said the agreement will be announced to the public early next week, after the Newroz holiday.
He confirmed that the agreement includes a demand for federalism, putting it in opposition to the interim constitution adopted by the transitional government in Damascus that cements authoritarian rule and has drawn criticism from Syria's minority communities who have demanded it be re-written.
The PYD and ENKS have been long-time rivals, despite previous efforts to mediate between them.

A coalition of non-Persian ethnic groups could topple the regime in a few months. It is worth noting that, unlike the Persian anti-regime population, the non-Persian anti-regime population is militarily organized. Concerning the Kurds, the following are their armed groups present on the ground ready to fight the Iranian regime: the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK), the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (KDPI), the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan (Komala), and the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK). These are well known political parties and armed groups: KDPI has been around since the 1940s and Komala since the 1960s. They can gather thousands of people. The Balochs have the Baloch Army, which is an umbrella organization that covers the whole of Balochistan and is led by the secular and committed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The Ahwazi National Resistance is the secret armed group of Ahwaz. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening political and media cooperation among liberation movements within Iran in order to support the right of peoples to self-determination and to work toward building strategic alliances that can realize their aspirations for freedom and independence. The two delegations also stressed the need to capitalize on the current international climate to raise the voices of oppressed peoples on the global stage and to push for recognition of their legitimate rights in accordance with international conventions. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to continued communication and coordination, and reiterated their unified stance on the future of Iran and its peoples based on a shared vision aimed at establishing democratic systems that guarantee justice and freedom for all components of the region.

View The Clip April 2022 - IRGC Qods Force Commander General Esmail Qaani: Israel Is A Cancer That Must Be Annihilated; The Jews Should Go Back Where They Came From IRGC Qods Force commander General Esmail Qaani said in an April 29, 2022 International Quds Day address at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, Iran that Israel is made up of people who have nothing to do with the land of Palestine, who have violence as part of their very being, who have killed and deported the native Palestinian population, and who were given the name "the Jewish people" by those who brought them to Palestine. He said that these people are at the root of all strife in the world and, citing the Islamic Republic of Iran's founder and previous leader Ruhollah Khomeini, he said that Israel is a "cancerous growth" that must be "erased." General Qaani also said that the Jews living in Israel should return to their countries of origin, and that International Quds Day will continue until Israel is annihilated. In addition, he said that the "resistance axis" is stronger than ever before. General Qaani has served as the commander of the IRGC's Qods Force since the former commander, General Qasem Soleimani, was killed in a U.S. airstrike on January 3, 2020. He said that the U.S. still has time to choose to withdraw from the region of its own accord, lest it be driven out like it was from Afghanistan. He warned that if the Americans make "the slightest mistake," they will be "punched in the mouth so hard that their teeth will shatter."
