Search called off for Pheobe Bishop three weeks after Queensland teenager mysteriously disappeared en route to airport
Queensland detectives have revealed they will no longer conduct "physical searches" for missing teenager Pheobe Bishop.
Pheobe was last spotted travelling in her roommate's grey Hyundai ix35 to Airport Drive, Bundaberg, on the morning of May 15, accompanied by her two housemates, Tanika Bromley and James Wood, who lived with the teenager on a property in Gin Gin.
Queensland Police are 'quite confident' the 17-year-old never made it to the airport.
On Wednesday, police revealed they were no longer conducting "physical searches" for the teenager, three weeks after she vanished.
'There are currently no physical searches for Pheobe at this stage, however physical searches will happen as needed and as information is provided,' a spokesman told NewsWire.
'Investigations are ongoing and police are continuing to run out several lines of inquiry.'
Some items believed to be linked to the investigation were located during a search of the Good Night Scrub National Park, about 90km from where the teen was last spotted near Bundaberg Regional Airport.
The items were seized for forensic examination, but police have not revealed what they discovered.
The search of the park was called off last week, and police revealed they suspect evidence had been moved before they commenced a search of the area.
The last call Pheobe made before she disappeared was to her boyfriend, whom she was flying to Western Australia to meet - but the teenager never got on her booked flight that morning.
Her phone was switched off shortly after the last call to her boyfriend.

Bundaberg police to give update on missing Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop
Police are set to provide an update about missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, whose body they believe was discovered near a national park in southern Queensland yesterday afternoon. In a statement on Friday night police said they had discovered what they "believed to be human remains" near the Good Night National Park near Gin Gin at about 2:30pm on Friday. "The remains are yet to be formally identified; however, investigators are in contact with the family of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop," the statement said, Ms Bishop was last seen on May 15 when she was supposed to fly to Brisbane from Bundaberg Airport. Her housemates James Wood, 34, and Tanika Bromley, 33, were charged with one count each of murder, and two counts each of interfering with a corpse on Thursday. The cases against Mr Wood and Ms Bromley were mentioned at Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday. Neither of the accused men appeared and the matters were adjourned until August 11. Police are continuing to appeal for any information relating to Pheobe and the movement of a grey Hyundai IX35 between May 15 and 18 in the greater Gin Gin area.
