She emphasised the importance of regular inspections at private and dealer shops.
Speaking to TOI, she said she discussed in detail with agricultural officers and farmers regarding the approval of the Krishi Yantrikaran sub-campaign, micro-irrigation, sugar cane crop, and survey action plan under centrally sponsored schemes for 2025-26.
With the arrival of monsoon, she stressed the need for seamless seed distribution across all taluks, urgent resolution of soybean seed issues, and ensuring an adequate fertiliser supply.
The DC highlighted the importance of educating farmers about proper fertiliser application, crop diversification, and collaboration with local model farmers to promote crop rotation practices among small-scale agriculturists.
Further, she said there should be swift processing of applications for agricultural equipment, including drip irrigation and sprinkler systems, provided under various govt schemes.
The administration suggests creating and sharing short videos featuring successful farmers on social media platforms to inspire others, utilising these networks for promotional purposes.
Given the early onset of the monsoon this year, authorities are focusing on raising awareness about crop surveys and insurance. Farmers will be encouraged to submit applications through their mobile devices to avoid confusion.

Technical challenges in crop surveys require prompt coordination with state-level officials for resolution. Villages missing from taluk maps need to be brought to state authorities' attention.
The administration emphasises organising small group training sessions for farmers, focusing on crop selection based on soil types and providing essential agricultural information and awareness. "Banks, both co-operative and nationalised, have been advised to ensure a respectful approach while providing agricultural loans and handling crop insurance matters. If in case any farmer raise grievances regarding loan-related issues, bank officials will be held accountable for their actions," the DC said.

Kullu: All eyes will be on the when he turns 90 on July 6, as he may announce his successor that day. The year-long birthday celebration of the will kick off on July 6 in Mcleodganj near Dharamshala, the headquarters of the Tibetan govt-in-exile, and conclude on July 5 next year. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Many ministers in the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), including Penpa Tsering, Sikyong or the elected head of CTA, and deputy speaker Dolma Tsering, have said the Dalai Lama may reveal his successor when he turns 90. Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, speaker of the Tibetan govt-in-exile, told TOI that a three-day religious conference, beginning on July 2 in Mcleodganj, was also likely to discuss the successor. "Even though this topic is not part of the conference agenda, there is a strong likelihood that the question of the Dalai Lama's successor would be discussed. We may even get the answer too," said Tenphel. "The Dalai Lama's successor must be from the free world outside of China, as our holy leader has said. In any case, the Tibetans would accept only the one revealed by the Dalai Lama himself," added Tenphel. In his book 'Voice for the Voiceless', published this March, the Dalai Lama has specified for the first time that his successor would be born in the "free world" and outside China. The Dalai Lama's statement is significant because China insists it will choose the successor in an attempt to gain religious control over Tibet. But Tibetans, especially those in exile, will not accept one chosen by China. The Dalai Lama has said any successor named by China would not be accepted by the Tibetans. More than 300 dignitaries from around the world are expected to reach Dharamshala on July 6 to attend the birthday celebrations of the Dalai Lama. The CTA wants a smooth transition of the present Dalai Lama's spiritual authority to his successor in the face of the Chinese claim to name the successor.

Oppn protests roll revision, still deploys 56,000 BLAs in Bihar

1 2 New Delhi: Despite their disgruntlement and protests over the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of Bihar's electoral roll, the state's opposition parties have already joined the exercise in full strength, deploying over 56,000 booth level agents (BLAs) to monitor every stage of the process. For instance, RJD has appointed 47,143 BLAs, making it second only to BJP that has positioned 51,964 BLAs in the field. Congress has appointed 8,586 BLAs, CPI(ML) (Liberation) 233, CPM 76 and BSP 26. BJP allies JD(U), Lok Janshakti Party and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party have appointed 27,931, 2,457 and 264 BLAs, respectively, taking the total deployment by NDA to 82,616 BLAs. Election Commission sources told TOI on Sunday that all political parties are in the process of appointing more BLAs for proper verification of electoral rolls. EC officials, despite facing criticism of SIR as an attempt at "disenfranchisement", sought to make it crystal clear on Sunday that the poll body will strictly implement Article 326 during the exercise. The Article, a senior EC functionary told TOI, casts a constitutional duty on the commission to enrol only those who are Indian citizens above 18 years of age, ordinary resident in the assembly constituency concerned and not disqualified under any law as an elector. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like เทรดทองCFDs กับโบรกเกอร์ที่เชื่อถือได้ | เรียนรู้เพิ่มเติม IC Markets สมัคร Undo "SIR is in line with Article 326. It's a straight question (to the parties criticising SIR): Do you agree with Article 326 or not," asked the functionary. "Political parties and other persons are supposed to follow Article 326 in letter and spirit. Anyone opposing SIR is also opposing Article 326 and should therefore clear their stand," said another senior EC official. EC has already advised all recognised political parties in Bihar to appoint their workers as BLAs in polling stations "now rather than finding faults with the electoral rolls later", as per the senior EC functionary. Electoral registration officers (EROs) have started conducting orientation workshops for BLAs of all parties to explain the process and sensitise them about SIR. The BLA for a polling station will be associated with the booth level officer (BLO) during the revision period. Political parties would also be asked to give a list of BLAs to respective their EROs. Before house-to-house enumeration, a BLO will hold a meeting with BLAs appointed by political parties and brief them about the schedule and process of SIR. BLOs will go through the draft electoral roll with BLAs and identify corrections to be carried out. "It is pertinent to mention that BLAs once appointed by a recognised political party will continue as BLA, unless their appointment is rescinded revoked by the political party concerned," as per EC instructions on SIR in Bihar issued last week. EC has allowed BLAs to file applications in bulk, subject to the condition that a BLA would not submit more than 50 forms per day to a BLO before the draft roll publication, and 10 forms per day thereafter. BLAs will submit a list of application forms with an undertaking that he or she has personally verified the particulars of the application forms and is satisfied that they are correct.
