2026 3-star OL out of Euless (TX) has placed Texas A&M in his Top 5 program list
Aggies Wire
Texas A&M's 4th-ranked 2026 recruiting class is filled with talent at nearly every position, but coach Mike Elko has yet to land an offensive lineman after landing six O-line commitments in the 2025 cycle.
Going into the 2025 season, Aggies O-line coach Adam Cushing could be a Joe Moore award candidate, with every 2024 starter returning. On the recruiting trail this offseason, Cushing has already proven to be one of the top assistant coaches in the country.
This week, Texas A&M made the final cut for one of the more underrated prospects in the 2026 cycle. Three-star offensive lineman Pupungatoa Katoa placed the Aggies in his top five program list, joining Texas, SMU, Tennesee, and Oklahoma.
Nicknamed Toa, Katoa recently visited the Longhorns during the program's recent junior day. However, given the Aggies' recent success in recruiting the trenches, you can never count the program out, especially at this point of the year.
Size is not an issue for Katoa, who currently stands at 6-4 and 365 pounds and can play both guard positions.
According to 247Sports, Katoa is currently positioned as the 68th-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 101st-ranked player in Texas.

Craig Kimbrel Signs With Rangers
Craig Kimbrel Signs With Rangers originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On Saturday, the Atlanta Braves designated veteran reliever Craig Kimbrel for assignment. This was right after the 37-year-old made his first major-league appearance of the season on Friday against the San Francisco Giants, where he allowed one hit and one walk. He also recorded one strikeout. Advertisement After clearing waivers, Kimbrel elected to become a free agent rather than being sent down to Triple-A by the Braves. Thus, this marked the end of the reunion between the Braves and Kimbrel. Now, the nine-time All-Star has already found his new home. According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, Kimbrel has signed a minor-league contract with the Texas Rangers. Craig Kimbrel in a relief appearance with the Atlanta Braves in June Edwards-Imagn Images Kimbrel will now provide the Rangers' pitching depth with another experienced reliever. He will look to impress with the Rangers in hopes of landing a call-up to their major league roster. Kimbrel spent this past season with the Baltimore Orioles, and it was undoubtedly a rough year for the veteran. In 57 games with the American League East team, he had a 7-5 record, a 5.33 ERA, and 73 strikeouts. Advertisement Kimbrel has appeared in 838 career MLB games split between the San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Orioles, and Braves, where he has a 56-47 record, a 2.59 ERA, and 440 saves.
