Sana'a - Saba:
The General Authority of Awqaf launched on Wednesday the "Ita'am" (Feeding) project by distributing 130 heads of cattle to the poor, needy, and frontline defenders.
During the launch ceremony, attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Miftah, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, praised the efforts and contributions of Awqaf Authority in addressing the needs of the poor, needy, and those defending the nation on the frontlines through humanitarian charity projects that alleviate their suffering and meet some of their needs.
He emphasized the righteousness of Yemen's path under divine leadership, which has restored the country's dignity and honor. Minister Al-Saadi also highlighted Yemen's honorable stance in supporting the Palestinian people, a position made possible only by the wise leadership bestowed upon the nation by God. He urged Awqaf Authority to implement more charitable projects, especially under the current circumstances.
For his part, the Chairman of the General Authority of Awqaf, Scholar Abdul-Majeed Al-Houthi, stated that the Authority has launched the "Ita'am" project for the fifth consecutive year, distributing sacrificial meat to the poor, needy, orphanages, centers for the blind, and frontline defenders, in line with its responsibility to manage endowment funds according to donors' intentions.
He described the support provided to the frontline defenders and families of martyrs as modest compared to their sacrifices, which have shattered the false prestige of America. Al-Houthi noted that the Authority timed this project to coincide with Eid al-Adha, making the occasion one of generosity and giving.
Scholar Al-Houthi stressed that a strong connection with God leads to sacrifice and benevolence, affirming that Yemen's absolute submission to God has enabled its people to stand firm in supporting Gaza and confronting the tyrants of the era, despite the immense sacrifices made.
He reiterated Yemen's sincere stance, rooted in the fear of God, at a time when Arab and Islamic regimes have failed to aid their Palestinian brethren. "If the Yemeni people could deliver aid to Gaza, they would sacrifice their own provisions for their Palestinian brothers, who face genocide, starvation, and a criminal siege by the Zionist entity—amid shameful silence from Islamic nations and disgraceful inaction by Arab regimes," he said.
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Scholar Taha Al-Hadhari, and the Director of Al-Nour Center for the Blind, Hassan Ismail, commended the Awqaf Authority's dedication to implementing charitable projects targeting the poor and frontline defenders, particularly on this sacred religious occasion.
They emphasized the importance of such initiatives in alleviating the suffering of the needy, highlighting how the Authority's projects foster social solidarity , reflect the compassion of Islam and humanity.

Yemen's Houthis "warn" companies to leave Israel

The Houthis yesterday renewed their warning to all firms investing in Israel, urging them to leave immediately or risk bearing full responsibility for any potential losses. Mahdi Al-Mashat, president of the Supreme Political Council — the highest governing authority in the Houthi-led administration in Sanaa — called on all companies investing in Israel to take the Yemeni warning seriously and to withdraw quickly, stressing that the environment is no longer safe. His remarks were reported by Houthi-run media. 'Companies that remain in the Zionist entity after our warning will have to bear the consequences of their insistence and be held accountable for any losses they may incur,' he added. 'We may take additional decisions in the coming days, if necessary, which would place investment companies within the Zionist entity at real and serious risk.' 'The disregard shown by some investment firms for our forces' warnings makes their operations inside the entity a dangerous gamble, which could come at a heavy cost,' Al-Mashat added. He accused the Israeli occupation government of failing to protect the interests of private companies, saying: 'The criminal Netanyahu government does not care about the safety of investment companies. It gambles with their security to serve its own interests. A government that ignores the lives of its own captives will certainly not care about the safety of others' companies and investments.'

Yemen:U.S. Embassy Condemns Continued Detention of Innocent Civilians by Houthis and Calls for Immediate Release

Aden- The U.S. Embassy to Yemen issued a strongly worded statement today, Friday, June 6, 2025, condemning the continued detention of innocent Yemeni civilians by the Houthi militia. Among those detained are employees of diplomatic missions, NGOs, and United Nations agencies—some of whom have been held since 2021. The embassy emphasized that these individuals have committed no crimes, noting that their work was focused on supporting their families and serving their communities. The statement described the detentions as a flagrant violation of human rights and international law. The embassy also pointed out that the Houthis are intimidating the families of detainees in an effort to silence them, preventing them from speaking publicly, sharing photos, or advocating for their loved ones. This campaign of fear effectively hides the plight of these innocent Yemenis from public view. The U.S. Embassy renewed its urgent call for the immediate and unconditional release of all detained civilians. It also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts to secure their freedom and ensure their safety and dignity. This condemnation follows recent reports by human rights organizations indicating that, since May 2024, the Houthi militia has arbitrarily arrested and forcibly disappeared dozens of UN and NGO workers without trial or disclosure of their whereabouts—acts that constitute grave breaches of international humanitarian law.
