Simu Liu puts one of Shang-Chi's 10 rings on girlfriend Allison Hsu: They're engaged!
Actor Simu Liu and girlfriend Allison Hsu, who works for Interscope Records, announced their engagement on Sunday on social media. The couple posted from Paris, where the betrothal appears to have gone down.
"From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always," the "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" actor wrote, captioning a picture of himself lifting Hsu for a kiss in front of a flowery background.

"Us forever," Hsu, a digital marketing manager for Interscope Records, wrote on a separate set of engagement photos out of Paris. She added emojis of diamond rings and white hearts to her caption.
Those flowers appear to have been decorations for a rooftop dinner celebrating the couple. In Hsu's Instagram story, more photos appeared showing the view from that rooftop as well as some friends who joined the couple for the party, plus a short video showing her and Liu kissing as the Eiffel Tower light show sparkles in the night sky behind them.
Liu and Hsu began dating late in 2022, after the Marvel star ended a short-lived relationship with "Grown-ish" actor Jade Bender. (Also after he got caught checking out Eiza González at the 2021 Met Gala.)
They quickly became an item on various red carpets and vacations, as laid out by Cosmopolitan over the weekend. The first year they were together, Liu wrote on Hsu's birthday on social media, 'she shows me that the people we love are always worth fighting for."

Simu continued, 'I love you to pieces, babe. Whether we're on another crazy trip to god-knows-where for who-knows-what, or just binging our way through friends at home, there's simply nothing better than holding your hand. thanks for never giving up on me.'
She returned the favor in 2024, posting multiple photos of them on adventures together and writing, "happy birthday my [love]. you are one of a kind. celebrating you forever and ever and ever."

Madame Web star Dakota Johnson says the Marvel movie "started out as something and turned into something else," but she's not bothered that it flopped: "Who cares?"

Madame Web star Dakota Johnson thinks she knows why the Sony Marvel movie flopped, but she's not really that fussed about it. The Spider-Man spin-off was a critical and commercial failure, earning only $100.5 million at the worldwide box office and garnering a Rotten Tomatoes critics score of just 11%. "There's this thing that happens now where a lot of creative decisions are made by committee," Johnson told the LA Times. "Or made by people who don't have a creative bone in their body. And it's really hard to make art that way. Or to make something entertaining that way. And I think unfortunately with Madame Web, it started out as something and turned into something else. And I was just sort of along for the ride at that point. But that happens. Bigger-budget movies fail all the time. "I don't have a Band-Aid over it," she added. "There's no part of me that's like, 'Oh, I'll never do that again' to anything. I've done even tiny movies that didn't do well. Who cares?" Madame Web was also heavily memed, just like another Sony Marvel movie that infamously flopped, Morbius. "If it wasn't for internet culture and everything being made into a joke, I think that the reception would've been different," Madame Web star Emma Roberts said of the film's reception. "And that's what bums me out about a lot of stuff, even stuff that I've done, is people just make such a joke out of everything now." Disney Plus Reveals Updated MCU Timeline
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown exponentially since the release of Iron Man in 2008. Now, nearly two decades later in 2025, the MCU timeline has been updated via Disney Plus. Fans can now see how more than fifty titles in the multimedia franchise are chronologically organized by the studio. This updated version of the MCU timeline now includes Captain America: Brave New World which was recently added to the streaming service. For fans that want to enjoy the follow-up to the original Captain America trilogy and its television spin-off The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , they can now do so in chronological order if they're interested in having one crazy marathon. Of course, the list doesn't yet include the newly-released film Thunderbolts , though fans can rest assured that the film will be the most recent title to occur chronologically on the list. It's also worth noting that Spider-Man: No Way Home isn't yet available on Disney Plus, so that particular title is missing.
