A sandy towel can ruin a sunny beach day - Aldi has the solution.
Aldi's summer essential
Middle aisle magpies will be excited to know of the latest treasure which will release on July 6.
Aldi has launched its new Sand-Free Blanket in a bid to make sunbathing even more relaxing and at the same time affordable.
Available for just £6.99 the beach towel is sure to be a summer must-have, especially considering it is a fraction of the price of some of similar products in other high street retailers.
Holidaymakers have a choice between ocean blue and sunset orange to add a bit of colour to their packing list.
John Lewis have their version of the summer essential which is priced at £25 and comes in a range of colours.

John Lewis offer quick dry beach towels for £25 on their website
And yet, while both other similar quick-drying functionality the Aldi version is a whopping £18 cheaper.
How it works
To ensure hassle-free sunbathing for holidaymakers, Aldi's beach towel repels sand from its surface.
It does this through its micro hole technology which means coarse sand grains, which can irritate the skin and make sunbathing unbearable, can easily fall off the surface.
7
The towel comes with everything to handle whatever British weather throws at it.
7
Mirco hole technology means tiny grains of sand can just roll off
What's more the product is lightweight and compact and so it is easy to pack in a beach bag, and saves room for other holiday essentials in the ever-restrictive suitcases.
And in case of bad weather (it is the UK after all) the towel comes with pegs and a holes to ensure it stays in the same place.

More summer essentials to come
The middle aisle is always the place to find some absolute bargains, and Aldi have held nothing back this summer.
The supermarket has offered a solution to end the passive aggressive war of the holiday deck chair with its new Backpack Chair or Lounger.
For only £24.99, holidayers can either have a chair or sun lounger primed on their back in an easily transportable way.
7
Sun bathing in comfort has never been so easy
It is almost half the price of similar products available on Amazon and Decathlon.
So there's no need to squabble with other tourists for a sun lounger, as Aldi shoppers can now bring their own. And when the sun inevitably moves, so can you.
Aldi are also offering shoppers a 2-in-1 Beach Shade for an affordable £19.99.
7
Why have a parasol and a shelter when they can come in one easy beach shade
What may cost more than £40 at some retailers, costs less than half of that in Aldi and means protecting yourself from the elements is easy.
It comes equipped with eight pegs and two ropes for securing it in place and can fit two adults inside.
Aldi has solved some casual summer gripes without needing to tight the purse strings.

Inside the new spa woodland pods that have opened in the UK that make you feel like you are abroad

Spa breaks at Moddershall Oaks also come with a two-course dinner PURE BLISS Inside the new spa woodland pods that have opened in the UK that make you feel like you are abroad Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) I HAVE been on more spa breaks than I care to admit – and I may have found a new favourite. Moddershall Oaks, a luxury spa set in glorious Staffordshire woodland, was just a ten-minute drive from Stoke-on-Trent. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Moddershall Oaks is a luxury spa set in glorious Staffordshire woodland 2 I get to try the new Golden Glow spa facial package But as we pulled up to this leafy, quiet spot, I knew the boutique size would mean fewer people and more peace, all for me. Family-owned, this spa hotel has just ten rooms in the main building, as well as 14 newly-added, luxury woodland pods dotted around the site. When staying in an overnight spa suite, you're greeted with a welcome drink on arrival and have access to facilities from 3pm until 4.30pm on your day of departure. First things first, we settle in our room, which has a patio looking out onto the stunning hills – and, lucky us, brilliant sunshine, too. My treatment is booked for 4pm and I get to try the new Golden Glow spa facial package. For 25 minutes, my skin is blessed with scrubs, a wild honey mask and calming oils, as well as a gentle head and shoulder massage, all to wash away life's stresses. I then rejoin my partner in the main spa area, where there is a hydrotherapy pool with heated tiled loungers, reflexology footbaths, a 10m pool and a steam room. The hydrotherapy pool certainly packs a punch, which makes a change from other spas I've been to where the pressure can be quite weak. What I love most is that it's not busy at all. I finish the indoor experience off with the toasty relaxation room where phones are not allowed, which I wholeheartedly welcome, so I'm forced to switch off. Colcot & Spa is great for families with playbarn and pools But there's lots more to explore outside, including a more bustling spa pool, access to a Kelo sauna and a gym. What made this retreat extra-special was the private outdoor heated spa pool. You get a 30-minute slot to yourselves, and there's even a button to request service. It's blissfully refreshing to sink into the warm bubbles as the spring air hits your freshly-treated face, with the evening sun slowly setting behind the distant trees. For a moment, I don't feel like I'm in the UK at all. The spa breaks at Moddershall Oaks also come with a two-course dinner – and it's not like any old set menu either. There's a huge selection of familiar favourites like beer battered fish and chips, but I've gone for the slow braised Staffordshire beef – the meat is so succulent and you can't go wrong with a massive Yorkshire pudding. We retire to our suite and the treats continue. Rooms feature plush furnishings with king-size or twin beds, a separate lounge or seating area and a private deck or patio so you can soak up the woodland and gardens. And the unique, hobbit-style woodland pods feature a circular design and round windows, with eco-friendly bubble spa showers and freestanding roll-top baths. After the best kip I've had in ages on the comfy bed, it's off to the restaurant for a hearty cooked breakfast. I've gone for eggs Benedict, which were done to perfection, while the other half stuck with a trusty full English, which didn't disappoint. Moddershall proved just the right combination of boutique luxury and peaceful retreat.

British holidaymakers in Spain face summer of strikes by hospitality staff

British holidaymakers may find their getaways thrown into chaos amid a summer of planned strike action at popular Spanish destinations. Hospitality sector workers in the Balearic Islands have threatened to walk out from July 10 after talks broke down over pay increases. A total of 180,000 workers in hotels, restaurants and other tourist spots – a majority of those employed in the sector on the islands – are set to strike. It comes amid a wave of other industrial action as well as protests against over-tourism across Spain. The main flash point in negotiations with unions is a 17 per cent pay rise demanded by unions. So far workers have been offered a salary bump of 8.5 per cent. The latest announcement of strike action comes despite an eleventh-hour deal reached with hotel workers to avoid a walkout in four of the Canary Islands including Tenerife. Further strikes in Majorca, Ibiza and Formentera will affect all bars, restaurants, cafes and night spots may go ahead on July 18, 19, 25 and 31. The UGT union is also demanding several other reforms to working practices, including a 35-hour working week and to increase the duration of seasonal fixed-term contracts from six to nine months a year. UGT spokesperson Jose Garcia Relucio branded concessions made at Thursday's talks as 'more crumbs', MailOnline reported. The union said that despite entering the negotiations to improve conditions for workers, the meeting had ended with several agreed reforms rolled back. However the Majorca Hotel Business Federation blamed UGT for a creating a poor negotiating environment and failing to listen to its reasons for not meeting its demands. Its vice-president, María José Aguiló, said: 'We have reached a point where, despite the fact we have been willing to address the issue of guaranteed employment for fixed-term contracts, they have not listened to our reasons for not raising the proposed [salary] increase.' Holidaymakers have already been disrupted this week after EasyJet cabin crew in Spain went on strike from Wednesday, impacting dozens of flights to popular destinations including Malaga, Barcelona and Alicante. A total of 62 flights were cancelled with the airline to and from Spain on Thursday, the second day of action. More Trending The USO union has not ruled out a further indefinite strike if its demands its members to be paid equal to EasyJet employees in other countries are not met. Earlier this month, thousands marched across Spain to tell Brits to 'go home' amid concerns over unsustainable tourism at favourite holiday spots. A demonstration in Palma de Majorca saw protesters carry placards in front of beleaguered tourists reading: 'Mallorca is not your cash cow… go home' and 'your holidays, our anxiety'. Cameron Norrie boards special Wimbledon train after being handed tough draw

The British tennis star hopped on on a train ahead of Wimbledon starting on Monday, when he will take on Roberto Bautista Agut in the first round British tennis player Cameron Norrie was spotted taking a South Western Railway (SWR) train, suitably named 'The Ace', to the training courts at Wimbledon. It comes as Friday's draw means that the British number three will play Roberto Bautista Agut on Monday for his first match of the Championship. ‌ Seasoned campaigner Norrie, 29, has endured a difficult couple of years and before the French Open, had progressed past the third round of a Grand Slam on just a solitary occasion since reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals back in 2022. ‌ But he showed signs of his old best in Paris by lowering the colours of Daniil Medvedev, the world No.11 and 2021 US Open champion, in a battle of the baseliners to reach the last-16 and send him towards SW19 with a renewed streak of confidence. Surprised onlookers saw Norrie boarding the train at London Waterloo, where he was sporting his tennis whites and carrying his bag to training. On board, he was spotted reviewing the Wimbledon draw on his phone. As he arrived at Wimbledon station, he took selfies with excited fans. Norrie took 'The Ace', an SWR Arterio train named after the Wimbledon Championships, and one of the five Arterios named in celebration of the many sporting locations along the SWR network. Tens of thousands of excited tennis fans are set to take SWR services to the 2025 Championships at Wimbledon, as the All England Club opens its doors to the tennis world once again.
