Fans hail Cesc Fabregas after Como boss' coaching masterclass during punditry on Sky Italia with Arsenal icon dubbed 'Arsene Wenger's real son'
Fans were left raving after Cesc Fabregas ' recent stint on Sky Italia, in which the Spanish coach gave an intriguing peak behind the curtain at his coaching style.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona great has taken Italian minnows Como to a mid-table finish in Serie A in just his first permanent managerial role, naturally earning widespread praise for his efforts.
While he has thrived at Como, he has unsurprisingly be linked with moves to more established clubs on the continent.
With Carlo Ancelotti leaving Real Madrid for Brazil, and Xabi Alonso expected to replace him, Fabregas has reportedly emerges as a frontrunner to replace his compatriot in Germany.
Yet, judging by a fascinating segment on Sky Italia this week, the World Cup winner doesn't seem to be thinking about much other than how to extract every ounce of talent out of his squad.
'We play with many No 10s and No 6s, so we play deeper, but always offensively and looking to move the ball quickly with the intention with moving forward as fast as possible,' his mini-lecture began.

'With [Maximo] Perrone, for example, a player that I like very much and he does many things well, the thing I work with him on most is his posture; looking around first, and seeing how much he can play forward, forward, forward, playing it square or diagonally.
'They press you from behind, one touch, they press you from the front, maybe you need to move a little further to play it diagonally more easily, and this is what I worked on.
'Yesterday, he gave an assist, and I almost went into the centre of the field to shake hands because we worked so much on this, and then he told me: "Finally, boss, I did it, finally it happened."
'It was nice, because there was so much work that went into it behind the scenes.'
After returning to the Italian top-flight for the first time in 21 years, Como have gone on to secure a highly-creditable mid-table position.
With two game to go they have 48 points and are sat in 10th position, having gone unbeaten since mid-March.
His coaching masterclass on Sky left some fans in raptures, with a number of Arsenal and Chelsea supporters suggesting he could be the future of their clubs.

'If, and/or when Mikel Arteta gets sacked or resigns from his managerial role at Arsenal, Cesc Fabregas is the next best man to be new face of Arsenal,' added another.
A third Gunners supporter wrote: 'Maybe Cesc should be our priority transfer this summer...'
'Chelsea need to get him asap. He is going to be ready in a season,' one Blues fan chimed in, with another writing: 'You just know that Chelsea is gonna make him manager.'

Jakob Ingebrigtsen's father found guilty of hitting daughter
The father of Jakob Ingebrigtsen has been found guilty of hitting his younger sister with a wet towel but has been cleared of abusing Norway's double Olympic champion. Gjert Ingebrigtsen, 59, has been given a suspended 15-day prison sentence for whipping Ingebrigtsen's sister, Ingrid, in the face with a towel but was acquitted of all other charges after a trial in Norway. Gjert, who coached Jakob at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics before they split, had been accused of enforcing a regime of 'physical and verbal abuse' during their upbringing. Jakob, the 5000m Olympic champion and one of the biggest stars in track and field, told the court that he been a victim of domestic violence and said he had been punched and kicked by him. The court found there was insufficient evidence and ruled there was insufficient evidence of Jakob's claims, but found Gjert of hitting Ingrid, who is now 19, in the face with a towel in 2022. Ingrid, who quit athletics and left the family home aged 15, was awarded compensation of 10,000 kroner (£745) after prosecutors had called for Gjert to be handed a two-and-a-half year sentence. Gjert had denied all allegations of violence and abuse but accepted that he had been demanding in his coaching and admitted to once throwing a PlayStation out of a window. Gjert's intense training methods were the subject of the popular documentary Team Ingebrigtsen, which shone a light on the family's almost cult-like obsession with sporting excellence, with the children put on strict professionalised training programmes at a young age. Jakob's older brothers, Henrik and Filip, are also professional athletes, and in October 2023, the trio published a joint letter in Norwegian outlet VG, spelling out the behaviour of their father. Jakob, 24, told the court about several incidents of violence. Prosecutors alleged Gjert struck Jakob several times after he received a negative report about his behaviour from school when he was eight. He was also accused of kicking Jakob in the stomach after he had been playing in the street on a scooter. Gjert coached his three sons until 2022, helping Jakob to secure his first Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020 in the 1500m as he forged a glittering career as one of the world's leading athletes. After the split, Jakob added 5000m success at Paris 2024 along with a large collection of other global medals.
