Teddi Mellencamp looks unrecognizable in brunette wig and head scarf amid cancer battle

Daily Mail19-05-2025

Teddi Mellencamp showed off a new look as she was spotted in Los Angeles.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 43, tried a new hair color and absolutely rocked a brown wig and white head scarf.
The daughter of rocker John Mellencamp, 73, wore a denim vest with a pair of wide-leg lighter blue jeans.
The new wig comes as Teddi has been battling stage 4 cancer.
Mellencamp has been battling cancer since 2022 following a diagnosis of melanoma, which metastasized to her brain and lungs.
Last week, Teddi delivered some good news on her podcast, 2 Ts in a Pod.
'Today I had the scan and where they checked my lungs and they are shrinking and one of them has shrunk so much you can barely even see it,' she said on her podcast.
Mellencamp added, 'So it's really really good news. I'm definitely so relieved. I'm also a little bit like, if I sound a little weird, it's because I'm in the middle of them in a therapy treatment right now.
'But what they said was this is good news. That means my body is responding to everything. But I do need to live on immunotherapy for the next two years.'
'So every four weeks for the next two years, I have to come in and get that done. So and then every three months I get another scan and we check to make sure that everything is where it is,' she added.
Teddi admitted she was a bit confused, adding, 'I thought that, like, once the tumors start going away, I'm like, so, does that mean I'm cancer free? And he's like no.'
'He's like you, we will let you know when you're in remission. But at this point, everything's just heading the correct way,' she added.
Her podcast co-host Tamra Judge asked her if that cured the cancer or controlled it.
'It's making sure that it's getting smaller and then let's say that it gets so small that it disappears. It's making sure that it won't form anywhere else in my body,' she said.
She added, 'The reason they were able to do this treatment on me, because remember radiation didn't work and the tumors were getting bigger, and like I was only able to get certain surgeries is because over at Cedars Clinic.
'There is everything in one spot. So because of that, they can do multiple treatments and figure out what works for you individually. So I think what ends up happening to a lot of people,' Teddi said.
The update comes just a month after she said doctors gave her a 50/50 chance to survive her cancer.
Over the weekend, Teddi put on a dazzling display of strength and style, stepping out to celebrate Kyle Richards' daughter Alexia Umansky's wedding with her Real Housewives besties.
With a renewed sense of hope, Teddi radiated positivity as she shared a joyful group snap on Instagram Sunday.
Wrapped in a sparkling silver gown and a sleek black fur jacket, she proudly flaunted her shaved head and vibrant spirit while posing arm-in-arm with Kyle, bride-to-be Alexia Umansky, Lisa Rinna, and Dorit Kemsley.
The wedding of Kyle's daughter also comes weeks after Teddi admitted she was 'preparing her children for the worst.'
Mellencamp and her estranged husband Eddie Arroyave are parents to daughter Slate, 12, son Cruz 10, and daughter Dove, five, along with Arroyave's daughter Isabella.
'Teddi is a fighter – anyone who has watched Real Housewives can attest to that,' Radar reported at the time.
'But it just saps her fighting spirit to think she had beaten this, only to receive another horrible diagnosis. She had told her children that mommy's sick, but she is going to be okay, and now it's tearing her up to lay out the dark truth to them.'
'Teddi does her very best to remain optimistic through her ordeals, but her main thought is with her family and beating this cancer for their sake.'
Last month she also revealed that her famous father John Mellencamp was planning her burial, asking whether she would be buried in the 'family mausoleum.'
On an episode of her Two Ts in a Pod podcast with Tamra Judge, Mellencamp explained her dad had called to ask her what her burial plans were.
'He goes, "Well you're doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there."'
In spite of the dark humor, Mellencamp said her father 'always taught me to be a fighter.'
For now, the determined patient is taking each day as it comes.
'I think the biggest thing is don't take anything for granted. Normally, I'm used to running seven miles, today, I'm barely walking one, but you know what? I'm here and that makes me feel good. These are special times that we get to do any of this.'

BREAKING NEWS Cheers actor George Wendt's cause of death revealed after shock passing aged 76

Cheers icon George Wendt's cause of death has been revealed two weeks after his shock passing aged 76. The legendary actor, who died in his sleep on May 20, played the beloved Norm Peterson on the hit NBC show from 1982-1993 and earned six consecutive Emmy nominations for the role. Wendt died from cardiac arrest per a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health death certificate. Congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertension are listed as underlying causes on the certificate obtained by TMZ. Other significant contributing conditions listed include end-stage renal disease, kidney failure, and hyperlipidemia, which relates to high levels of fat in the blood. Per the certificate, Wendt was pronounced dead at 10am on May 20 and cremated on May 28. Wendt's family said in a statement: 'George was a doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him. 'He will be missed forever. The family has requested privacy during this time.' His shock passing came just six months after the frail star was seen being wheeled out of an California dialysis clinic and 32 years to the day that the Cheers finale aired. In the wake of his shock death, his Cheers co-star Ted Danson, 77, who played bartender Sam Malone - paid emotional tribute to his 'Georgie.' In a statement to People, Danson said he's 'devastated to hear that Georgie is no longer with us. 'I am sending all my love to Bernadette and the children. It is going to take me a long time to get used to this. I love you, Georgie.' Wendt's iconic sitcom Cheers ran for 11 seasons from 1982 to 1993, though the show was almost canceled after its first season due to low ratings. However, it spent eight of its remaining 10 seasons in the top 10, becoming the most-watched show in Season 9. It earned 28 Emmy Awards from 117 nominations, earning Outstanding Comedy Series nominations all 11 seasons, winning four. Wendt - who is also the uncle of Ted Lasso actor Jason Sudeikis - impressively appeared in every episode until it went off air in May 1993. His lovable, happy-go-lucky barfly Norm - whose occupations included accountant, painter and decorator and coast guard - quickly became a fan favorite, thanks to his iconic entrance into the bar. Norm would arrive and yell 'Afternoon/evening everybody!' with the bar crowd shouting his name back. He told Chicago Magazine in 2021: 'Norm is just me with better writing. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of actors who could have delivered on the absolute gems that I was handed on a silver platter every Wednesday morning.' Wendy forged close friendships with his co-stars Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger, Kelsey Grammer and Woody Harrelson. Wendt's former Sabrina the Teenage Witch co-star Melissa Joan Hart said 'heaven just got a little funnier' with his arrival. 'He was warm, professional and kind and our cast and crew were gifted with his presence every time. Rest in peace! #GodBlesstheFunnyPeople.' Hailing from Chicago, prior to acting Wendt was expelled from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana over poor grades before moving into showbusiness, where his first job was sweeping a theatre floor. Guest roles in Taxi and M*A*S*H were followed by his big break on Cheers, and two years after it finished he launched a self-titled sitcom on CBS, but it was canceled after eight episodes. Other than his success in the hit sitcom, the popular entertainer has appeared in shows such as Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Columbo and Wings. He also had a recurring sketch on SNL's Bill Swerski's Superfans, which was dedicated to sports fans from Chicago. Other than his success in the hit sitcom, the popular entertainer has appeared in shows such as Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Columbo and Wings. Wendt had been married to Bernadette Birkett – who played the voice of the mysterious Vera on Cheers – since 1978 and they have one daughter and two sons. Wendt had kept a low profile in recent years, making only a handful of small appearances on screen, including his stint as a contestant in The Masked Singer in 2023. More recently, he made a surprise appearance on stage when he reunited with the Cheers cast at the Emmy Awards in January 2024. Wendt was joined by former co-stars Danson, Grammer, Perlman and Ratzenberger around a recreated set of the show's iconic bar. Cast members Long and Harrelson did not attend the reunion. Sudeikis explained to Playboy in 2011 how his mother's brother Wendt inspired him to embark upon his own career path. He admitted: 'He's always been very encouraging, but there was no Tuesdays With Morrie kind of relationship between him and I. 'He didn't take me to the park to explain comic timing. There was nothing like that. He was just a good example that being an actor was a viable option.' The actor added: 'Here's a guy from the Midwest, in my family, who took the road less travelled and it worked out for him. The advice he gave me, and I say this jokingly, is "Get on one of the best sitcoms of all time and then ride it out."' Wendt encouraged his nephew to audition for Saturday Night Live after attending one of his improv performances. In June 2024 Wendt lauded his nephew - the son of his sister Kathy on the podcast Still Here Hollywood with Steve Kmetko He said: 'He's such a great kid. Very proud. Proud especially, you know, not only of the success, but he's solid. Have you read profiles and stuff? I mean he is such a mesh, so smart, so thoughtful. I mean, it all comes out in the show. Right?'

Fan-favorite Summer House star QUITS the Bravo reality show after seven years

A fan-favorite from the cast of Summer House just announced that they were quitting the popular Bravo reality show after seven years. If you guessed Paige DeSorbo, you would be correct as the 32-year-old Giggly Squad podcaster officially revealed her 'life update' on Thursday morning. 'Being [a] part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable,' Paige - who boasts 2.2M social media followers - wrote via Instastory. 'You've seen me grow up over these last seven summers. I'll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it's time for this chapter to close.' DeSorbo went on to thank her castmates, fans, and her NBCU family. 'I never could've imagined what this journey would turn into — and how many of you would be along for the ride,' the native New Yorker continued. 'And you haven't seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.' Paige's 'bed' comment was a direct reference to her sleepwear brand Daphne (named after her Oriental Shorthair cat) ranging in price between $58-$230, which launches next Tuesday. 'It was really more like, "What would my followers like?" And I feel like we all align on staying in bed,' DeSorbo told InStyle on Tuesday. 'This is one thing where I can say it's a full-circle moment. I'm so happy that I didn't do it sooner because I don't think it would've been as authentic as it is right now.' The Vanity Fair Oscar Party co-anchor is also every bit the influencer with lucrative paid partnerships for brands like Dunkin', Amazon, DSW, Braun Beauty, TRESemmé, Neutrogena, David Yurman, Marshalls, Face Reality, Vivrelle, and CB2. Paige was a 26-year-old fashion writer when she joined Summer House in season three, which taped in 2018 and premiered in 2019. During her 109-episode stint, DeSorbo delighted fans with her roasts of 'fake-a** bi***' Lindsay Hubbard and 'Diplo lookalike' Kyle Cook as well as her quote that went viral on TikTok. 'Everyone take it in, mental picture,' the Bravo-lebrity stated. 'Here we go. In case you wanted to see it with sunglasses, here's your shot. Okay, thank you so much.' During Wednesday's reunion special, DeSorbo vowed to never again say the name of her ex-boyfriend - Southern Charm star Craig Conover - whom she split from last December after a three-year relationship. 'I didn't break up with him for other people,' the Hannah & Paige Try New Things star told moderator Andy Cohen in the first seat. 'Here's the thing that I will say about me and my ex-boyfriend: when it came to filming, we were very much like, "If you feel it and it's real, say it." You'll never hear me say his name again.'

Elon Musk's baby mama taunts Donald Trump over breakup as interrupt erupts in memes

Elon Musk's baba mama Ashley St. Clair waded into the dramatic fallout between Elon Musk and Donald Trump as she asked the president if he 'needs any breakup advice.' Social media erupted on Thursday as Musk turned on the president with a flurry of insults over his 'Big Beautiful Bill', leaving the internet stunned and waiting to see what he posts next. X users poked fun at the fight between the world's richest man and the president, with some memeing Musk as Quentin Tarantino character Kill Bill. Others ridiculed the billionaires and compared them to bickering teenagers. Many had predicted that Trump and Musk's rosy bromance wouldn't last long, as some pointed to betting markets on when they would turn on each other. Betters heavily favored a fallout before July 1, 2025, less than six months after Musk joined Trump's administration as a special advisor. St. Clair spoke out as she is in the midst of a custody battle with Musk for their son, and she previously fumed at the billionaire to when he slashed her child support in half. Many had predicted that Trump and Musk's rosy bromance wouldn't last long, as some on Thursday pointed to betting markets on when they would turn on each other Political firebrand Laura Loomer also waded into the controversy, saying she had 'been on the hill all day and it's all anyone is talking about.' 'Will be interesting to see what Republican lawmakers do now,' she said. 'I know law makers who are asking if they should side with President Trump or Elon.' After Musk sent a raft of insults at Trump including claiming he was the sole reason Trump won the 2024 election, the president fired back on Thursday afternoon. 'Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!' he said on Truth Social.
