Palace insider 'rages' at Harry and Meghan as move 'spelled disaster' for Queen
A Palace insider has reportedly called out Meghan and Harry over one awkward decision they made while distancing themselves from royal life. It allegedly 'spelled disaster' for the late Queen
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sent shockwaves across the world when they stepped down from royal duties five years ago, and a Palace insider was said to be left 'raging' at one aspect of their departure.
When the couple first announced their desire to represent the crown on a part-time basis - while working towards being "financially independent" - royal watchers were stunned.
And within the House of Windsor, a sense of impending "disaster" quickly settled, with a royal source claiming that one particular world in Harry and Meghan's sensational statement left insiders reeling.
The couple made it clear that they never wanted to fully break away from the monarchy, but instead "carve out a progressive new role within this institution". In their initial statement, the Sussexes added: "We will continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties."
But it was the use of the word "collaborate" that caused deep concern. The monarchy is, by definition, an inherently hierarchical institution. Only one person wears the crown, and the rest of the senior royals work to support the monarch - so the idea that there would be a collaboration of some kind left one Palace insider baffled, and 'raging'.
"No one 'collaborates' with the Queen. This is not one of those 'Kate Moss Top Shop tie-ups'," the source told the Daily Mail. Another said, "Her Late Majesty was nobody's fool and knew that the chances were, it would all end in disaster".
Meghan and Harry have gone on to embark on a number of high-profile professional endeavours, as they fund their own lives in California - including incredibly expensive private security and running their Montecito mansion.
The couple produced a six-part self-titled documentary series for Netflix, during which they retreaded old ground about their reasons for exiting royal life, and provided never-before-seen insight into their love story, to the delight of their fans.
Harry's memoir Spare broke records upon its release in 2023 and gave readers a behind-closed-doors look at what life growing up inside the monarchy is really like, warts and all - at least from Harry's perspective.
Both of these high-profile - and incredibly candid projects - were not received well at the palace, with Prince William now totally estranged from his once-close younger brother, and King Charles - by Harry's own admission - refusing to speak to his son due to the Duke's ongoing legal battle of the removal of his automatic police security in the UK.
Most recently, Meghan has stepped into the lifestyle world, launching a new series about hosting tips entitled With Love, Meghan and an accompanying brand - As Ever.
She has also returned to Instagram, having given up her personal online accounts back when her relationship with Harry got serious and she planning to spend a lifetime as a working royal.
Since returning to social media, Meghan has not been afraid to show her personality and some aspects of her private life - including recently posting a video of herself dancing around a hospital room the day she went into labour with her daughter Princess Lilibet.
"Four years ago today, this also happened," she captioned the post marking her daughter's birthday. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!"
In response to the clip, a source quoted as a palace insider told the Mail: "This is exactly why Queen Elizabeth knew this whole half-in, half-out version of royalty they were lobbying for was never, ever going to work.
"Harry and Meghan were a law unto themselves from the start, pushing and pushing the envelope to their own professional and financial advantage."

Watch awkward moment Love Island stars sneak out of bedroom for steamy night in the Hideaway
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE Love Island villa is set to be rocked tonight as two stars decide to sneak away for a night alone in the hideaway. The Sun told early this week how blonde air hostess Helena Ford, 29, and semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley, 30, snuck off and the scenes will play out on screen tonight. But things don't go quite according to plan and most of the other islander spot them sneaking away - including a bemused Shakira Khan, who was sharing a bed with him. A source previously told The Sun: 'This is the fastest sleepover in the Hideaway in Love Island's twelve series history - and what a gorgeous pair to do so. 'In the past, producers had to invite Islanders to use the breakout bedroom which meant the love nest was generally not used until couples became more established. 'But producers have changed the rules of the breakout bedroom so it can be used at any time, without an invite. 'It means Helena and Harry could take advantage of the 'no invite needed' and explore their connection. 'The scenes will play out later this week, but bosses are unlikely to show anything too naughty, as is the show's usual approach.' Earlier in the episode - Harry discovers that Shakira and Blu had shared a kiss in the hideaway. Dejon says: 'You know he (Blu) kissed her (Shakira)?' Harry replies: 'No he didn't…I don't believe what I'm hearing.' Harry then asks Shakira about the kiss with Blu before telling her: 'All that matters is I want to pursue things with you.' Harry later hears Blu's side of the story, with Blu telling him: 'We had two kisses, where's your head at? It seems to me your with Helena more and flirting?' Harry says: 'I think it's more flirty, but I think Shakira's got more substance.' 6 Harry and Shakira ran off as everyone look on in horror Credit: ITV 6 Harry is paired up with Shakira Credit: Eroteme

The singer, 36, wore a pale blue cropped sweatshirt and a figure-hugging skirt that showed off her peachy derriere as she filled up her car at a local petrol station. To complete her look, she sported a pair of casual white trainers and pulled her dark tresses up in a slick ponytail. Tulisa's brand new car is a 2025 Land Rover Defender OCTA, and starting prices cost around £148,045. The sleek vehicle boasts a powerful 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, advanced 6D Dynamics suspension, and a range of driver assistance technologies, along with exclusive exterior and interior styling elements, according to Land Rover. The singer, 36, wore a pale blue cropped sweatshirt and a figure-hugging skirt as she filled up her car at a local petrol station She previously owned a black Range Rover Evoque, and starting prices for the car cost from £44,380. It comes after Tulisa showed off the results of her marathon beauty day last month after completing six back-to-back beauty treatments. The N-Dubz star showed off her bloodied nose and swollen face in a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, after completing a series of procedures to keep her 'eyebrows and cheeks' looking pert. Admitting she was keen to pack in as many treatments as possible, Tulisa revealed she had begun with a muscle-enhancing facial treatment at SkinCAN. The former X Factor star, who has previously shared her struggles with Bell's Palsy, explained: 'It enhances the muscles and gives you this snatched look on the face. It's brilliant if you don't want to use fillers.' Tulisa praised the treatment, saying that she really began to notice the results after being able to go five or six months without using Botox. Following the treatment, Tulisa then shared the results on her face, which included a bloody and sore nose, that left her looking like she'd been 'smacked in the face.' She added: 'I asked Jo to go a bit harder on that area because the next thing I'm doing isn't going to be touching that. No pain, no gain.' WHAT IS BELL'S PALSY? Bell's palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face. It is a rare condition which is believed to affect around one in 5,000 people each year. It is is believed to occur when the nerve that controls the muscles in your face becomes compressed. The exact cause is unknown, although it's thought to be because the facial nerve becomes inflamed, possibly due to a viral infection. Variants of the herpes virus may be responsible. Around seven out of 10 people with Bell's palsy make a complete recovery, with or without treatment. Most people notice an improvement in their symptoms after about two to three weeks. However, a complete recovery can take between three and six months. Next, Tulisa completed a Collagen Wave with radiofrequency technology, performed by Dermastar's Neelam Patel. The procedure uses heat to stimulate fibroblasts - the cells responsible for generating collagen and elastin, resulting in a natural lift and smoothing out fine lines. Sharing that they skipped the usual micro needling treatment, Tulisa told her followers the procedure was 'super relaxing.' Tulisa went on to film herself during a full body massage and reflexology as she enjoyed a moment of calm before her next treatment, followed by Emface, which combines radiofrequency with HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) to tone muscles. With her face covered in sticky pads, Tulisa admitted her face was going to be 'a little red' following the treatment. She then made her way to M Clinic for a thermavein treatment for her thread veins and shared a glimpse at the painful-looking procedure. Tulisa then ended the day by receiving an Ethra laser for redness and collagen production - sporting a pair of black goggles to protect her eyes. Following her final procedure, Tulisa showed off her glowing natural complexion but shared that despite the redness, soothing cream was helping with the aftermath. The N-Dubz hitmaker reassured her followers that the healing typically takes a few days to a week and added: 'I should be ready to rumble by the weekend.' The singer was diagnosed with Bell's palsy in 2020 - a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or weakness on one side of the face when the facial nerve is damaged or stops working properly. Yet she soon became locked in a vicious cycle of having filler to even out her appearance and her face became inflamed and swollen. Speaking on Olivia Attwood's podcast So Wrong It's Right last month, Tulisa admitted the problems were particularly bad around the time she reformed with the trio in 2022, ending their 11-year hiatus from the music scene with a new tour and single release. A doctor soon got to the cause after performing an ultrasound on her face, finding 'three chronically infected cysts' in her cheek, one of which popped during an 'explorative operation' due to being so bulbous. Tulisa shared: 'I've no idea what they were caused by, they weren't filler, they were just self-occurring, but I came out of the operation and instantly my face was less swollen. She added that after having her first Bell's palsy attack at the age of 24, she attempted to use fillers to 'balance out' her face, causing her to be locked in a 'vicious cycle.' Two years passed and the condition was kept at bay, but she started to feel a 'low-level swelling' in the same cheek, which rapidly increased. She explained: 'I would have like tingling sensations like little ants crawling in my face. I started seeing doctors all around the UK – "Something's wrong with me, what's wrong with my face" – it was so scary. This went all the way up until this year it was horrific. The singer was diagnosed with Bell's palsy in 2020 (pictured) a neurological disorder that causes paralysis or weakness on one side of the face when the facial nerve is damaged 'I constantly felt like my cheek was on fire. I'd have good days and bad days and on some days, I'd take steroids, which would bring it down. 'When I was doing that N-Dubz run it was at its worst, so you might see an interview, I look normal. And then you see another interview, it's like, what the hell is going on with my face?' Tulisa also shared her belief that the painful cysts had contributed to a long list of medical concerns she has battled with for years such as sarcoidosis and immune disorders. She shared: 'I've had all these health problems for years – sarcoidosis, immune disorders and this explains all the symptoms that I was getting and could have been causing Bell's palsy because in total there was, I think, six of them. They could have been growing over the years, actually triggering the Bell's.' After years of experimenting, Tulisa said she decided to remove the filler from her face and now only uses it in her lips.

Tracy Anderson compares herself to Leonardo da Vinci, claiming they both used 'science' to 'enhance their art'
Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson has bizarrely compared herself to acclaimed painter Leonardo da Vinci, claiming they both used 'scientific knowledge' to 'enhance their art.' Tracy, 50, has spent more than 20 years fostering her reputation as the go-to fitness guru amongst the Hollywood elite, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, and Madonna previously praising her famed Tracy Anderson Method. But the exercise buff has now revealed that she believes her method - which involves danced-based workouts in a room heated to 95 degrees with 75 percent humidity - is much more than a workout routine. During a recent interview with The Atlantic, Tracy insisted that her method is 'an art and a science,' before she compared herself to 16th century Italian artist Leonardo, who famously created the Mona Lisa. The publication wrote: 'Anderson's goal is to transform how people think about the mind and the body, and to prove that her workout is her own intellectual property, both an art and a science. 'She's created "thousands" of moves, she told [us], and "done actual studies." She compared herself to Leonardo da Vinci, who, just like her, "used his scientific knowledge to enhance his art."' Tracy told the publication: 'To create my life's work has taken so much research, so much focus, so many people believing in me financially,' adding that she has 'tested, experimented, and created' the process. In 2023, Tracy's workout empire and gleaming reputation were tainted after a slew of her ex-employees spoke to Business Insider about what it was like to work for the trainer, telling a bombshell tale of legal threats, paranoia, and grueling long hours. Plus, in February, one of the workout company's former longtime staffers opened up about her experience exclusively to the Daily Mail, and she branded Tracy as 'toxic, narcissistic, and psychotic' person. She also claimed Tracy made fun of clients' bodies and 'bullied' staffers. Even so, Tracy seemed unbothered by the swirling accusations, proudly telling The Atlantic that her dedicated clients come to her because they 'know their body's going to look the best that it can look.' 'And they're not going to go anywhere else, because they know how smart I am,' she added. Tracy owns eight studios across the globe in locations like London, Madrid, New York City, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach. Elsewhere in the interview, the fitness guru expressed her desires to make her workouts more accessible to 'people that are making a differences' like 'teachers and nurses.' Memberships currently cost upwards of $10,000 a year. 'People who are underpaid and making a different, they need it,' Tracy said. The outlet noted, however, that she didn't offer any specifics on how she might accomplish that. In February, a former trainer, 34, who asked to keep her identity private, explained to the Daily Mail that she started working with Tracy in 2015, and was a dedicated employee for almost a decade. But she said she spent years enduring 'bullying' and 'emotional distress' while employed for Tracy. She claimed that when she first got the job, Tracy made a slew of 'false promises' and enticed her by talking about 'a ton of growth opportunities.' She also recalled being dazzled by the glamorous perks that came with the job, like getting to travel the globe and training a slew of stars. But looking back now, the ex-employee said she feels like she was 'brainwashed' and 'manipulated' by the mogul. And over the years, she said she began to see a side of Tracy that was completely different from the person that her 1.1 million followers and celebrity clientele saw. 'Tracy made comments about my body that were unprofessional and very triggering for me as someone who has body image issues,' the woman alleged. 'I feel like the toxic work culture started from the top. She's just a toxic, narcissistic, psychotic person. 'When she's teaching a class she acts like she's a star. She barks at people to do this, do that. It's very diva.' The trainer alleged that there was one time that Tracy told her she 'looked pregnant' in an Instagram video. 'One time, we filmed a few clips for social media and the social media woman posted it but then they took it off a few minutes after posting it,' she shared. 'Tracy told me the next day, she was like, "Oh my God I had to have them take that video down of you because you looked pregnant." 'She'll say things like that. She treats people like they're scum and like they owe her everything.' She also claimed that Tracy would also 'talk crap about' other trainers to her, and comment on her clients' bodies behind their backs. 'She would talk crap about the New York trainers in front of us. And most of us were so incredibly uncomfortable,' she claimed. 'I felt like I was in a movie, the way she was acting was so inappropriate and childish. 'I've been around her while she was talking smack about her own clients, talking about their bodies. It was just awful.' The Daily Mail reached out to Tracy at the time, who declined to comment.
