WWDC 2025: How to Watch Apple's Live Event and What to Expect from iOS 26, AI Tools and More

Apple is set to unveil the future of its software ecosystem today at WWDC 2025, its annual Worldwide Developers Conference held in Cupertino, California. As the tech world watches closely, Apple is expected to showcase significant updates across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and more – including the official reveal of iOS 26.
Despite growing competition in the artificial intelligence (AI) space, Apple aims to reaffirm its software leadership by introducing meaningful innovations both within and beyond AI. Here's everything you need to know about WWDC 2025 — including how to watch the live stream and what new features are expected for iPhones, iPads, and Macs. WWDC 2025: When and Where to Watch the Live Stream in India and Globally
The WWDC 2025 keynote kicks off at 10am PT (10:30pm IST) on Monday, 9 June.
You can watch the event live on: Apple's official website
The Apple TV app
Apple's official YouTube channel
For those who can't tune in live, an on-demand version of the stream will be made available shortly after the event ends. iOS 26 and Major Software Changes: What's Coming to iPhone, iPad and Mac
One of the most anticipated reveals at WWDC 2025 is Apple's rebranding of its software naming convention. Instead of traditional version numbers, Apple will now align its operating system names with the calendar year — hence, the next iPhone update will be called iOS 26, not iOS 19. Similar naming changes will apply across iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS. New User Interface Inspired by visionOS
Apple is also expected to roll out a refreshed user interface, influenced by the design language of visionOS. Leaks suggest a more futuristic look featuring: Digital glass aesthetics
Enhanced light and transparency effects
Redesigned toolbars, tab bars and app icons
Smoother, more intuitive button interactions
This redesign aims to deliver a more seamless and visually immersive experience across all Apple devices. App Upgrades, AI Features, and Siri Delays
Core Apple apps are also set for upgrades. The Phone, Safari, and Camera apps on iPhone and iPad will reportedly receive functionality enhancements, improving day-to-day usage.
AI will take centre stage in a more practical role. Apple is said to be introducing AI-powered tools, including a smart battery management system that learns usage patterns to prolong battery life and performance on iPhones.
However, one major AI update that may not make an appearance is the much-anticipated overhaul of Siri. The ChatGPT-powered Siri version, originally expected this year, has reportedly been delayed due to extended development and testing. Instead, Apple is likely to unveil a suite of developer-focused AI tools at WWDC 2025. No New iPhones Expected at WWDC 2025
While the spotlight remains on software, new hardware is unlikely to be unveiled at WWDC this year. New iPhone models, MacBooks, and other devices are expected later in 2025.

"You Are Enabling Fraud": Tech YouTuber Gets Used MacBook Pro Twice From Flipkart

Mix-ups and misplacements are known to happen when it comes to online product delivery. Recently, tech content creator Devanshu Dhandhal took to X to accuse Flipkart of allowing fraudulent sellers on its platform. According to the post, Mr Dhandhal ordered a Rs 2.6 lakh MacBook Pro from Flipkart but received an old, used model in a sealed Apple box instead. When he requested a replacement and opened the laptop at the EKart office, he was shocked to find another old MacBook. He filmed two videos as evidence, both of which showed that the Apple-sealed boxes contained used MacBooks with visible signs of wear, such as smudges. Mr Dhandhal alleged that the seller had been scamming customers since 2023 and called out Flipkart for not taking adequate action. "I immediately requested a replacement, and this time I unboxed the product at the EKart office under CCTV, and again the MacBook had smudges and marks so not new (second unboxing video attached below). 2 times. 2 wrong deliveries," the tweet read. See the post here: I just got scammed on @Flipkart — not once, but TWICE. So I ordered a ₹2.6 lakh MacBook Pro and got a used, old model inside a sealed Apple box. We filmed the entire open box delivery, you can see that in first attached video. I immediately requested a replacement, and this… — Devanshu Dhandhal (@mrtechpedia) June 8, 2025 Mr Dhandhal then contacted customer support, which initiated a return process. Over two days, the support team offered him compensation of Rs 13,000, which he rejected, followed by Rs 18,000, which he also rejected. Finally, they offered him a 10% compensation, which he again declined. "And after all this negotiation, they rejected the return. So I called them again and I asked for 10% compensation as it was a lot of hassle talking to them. Moreover, I was able to clean the marks, but the laptop was not new in the first place," he added. The post accused Flipkart of negligence, stating that the platform was enabling fraud. "This requires investigation, I am requesting action against the seller and Flipkart," he wrote. One user wrote, "I fail to understand why people buy Rs 2.6 L products online? Moral of the story - Get it from an Apple Store / Authorised Dealer." Another commented, "Flipkart has lost its reputation, been years since I've ordered anything from them. Yes, I'm ready to pay more on Amazon, but at least I don't get scammed." A third said, "The experience of shopping for expensive products physically is fulfilling and worth it, rather than ordering them online." Flipkart responded with an apology and promised to investigate the issue. "We'd never want you to get anything but what you ordered, and we are extremely sorry about this instance. We want to sort this out for you. Please help us with your order details securely, so we can look into this. Awaiting your response,'' the company replied.

Apple Intelligence new features: Here is what's coming across platforms

Apple Intelligence lands in latest developer betas for iOS, iPadOS & macOS 26, offering smarter system features and new AI tools on eligible Apple Silicon devices New Delhi Apple has begun rolling out new Apple Intelligence features to developers through the latest developer beta build of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26. Announced on June 9 at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025, these generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools are now live for hands-on testing across supported devices. Shortcuts get more intelligent Shortcuts are now powered by Apple Intelligence. Users can: Create smarter automations that understand context, such as summarising a long document or creating images based on a conversation Pull in responses from the on-device AI model or even connect to ChatGPT where preferred, while maintaining privacy For example, a student can build a shortcut that compares a class transcript to handwritten notes and highlights anything they missed Additional System-Wide Features Apple Intelligence is now more deeply integrated into everyday apps, enhancing utility across the system in subtle but powerful ways. In Reminders, Apple Intelligence can recognise relevant actions mentioned in emails, websites, or notes and automatically turn them into categorised to-dos. Apple Wallet has been upgraded to identify and summarise order tracking details from emails — showing full delivery information and progress updates in one place for all purchases. In Messages, users can now create polls within conversations. Apple Intelligence can even suggest starting a poll when it detects that one might be useful. Backgrounds in Messages also get a creative boost, with customisable designs that users can tailor to the tone of their conversation using Image Playground. These additions build on features already available under Apple Intelligence, including: Writing Tools that can rewrite, proofread, summarise, or even creatively rephrase text (e.g., turn an invite into a poem) Clean Up in Photos to remove visual distractions from images Natural language search in Photos and memory creation by typing a short description Image Wand in Notes, which refines rough sketches into polished visuals Mail and Messages with Smart Replies, summaries, previews, and Priority sections for urgent updates Systemwide notification control, including summarised alerts and a Reduce Interruptions Focus mode Smarter, more context-aware Siri, with the ability to follow along, maintain context, or let users type commands Seamless ChatGPT integration in Siri and Writing Tools, for advanced image or document handling when needed Audio transcription summaries in Notes and calls, surfacing key details without needing to listen back These tools collectively make Apple's ecosystem more proactive, context-aware, and private by default — with most features running directly on-device or securely in Apple's Private Cloud Compute.
