Kerala SSLC Class 10 results declared; 99.5% pass rate
Kerala General Education Minister V. Sivankutty on Friday (May 9, 2025) announced the results of 2025 SSLC examination.
At a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Mr. Sivankutty said 99.5 per cent of students (4,24,583) qualified for higher education. As many as 61,449 students secured A+ certification in all subjects. Kannur district secured the highest pass percentage.
Students can access their results through Pareeksha Bhavan, KITE, PRD and other websites by 4 p.m. The SSLC results will be available from 4 p.m. on the Information and Public Relations department's PRD Live mobile app and on the following websites: https://pareekshabhavan.kerala.gov.in; https://kbpe.kerala.gov.in; https://results.digilocker.kerala.gov.in; https://sslcexam.kerala.gov.in; https://prd.kerala.gov.in; https;//results.kerala.gov.in; https://examresults.kerala.gov.in; https://results.kite.kerala.gov.in.
Mr. Sivankutty also declared the results of THSSLC and AHSLC examinations, which are also available on the websites.
The government conducted the examinations from March 3 to March 26, 2025, at 2,964 centres in Kerala, nine in Lakshadweep, and seven in the Gulf.

568 teacher posts vacant in Kodagu govt schools
Madikeri: As students resumed their studies following their two-month summer holiday, despite the rain, the district's govt primary and high schools are experiencing a considerable shortage of teaching staff. The district houses 623 govt educational institutions, comprising both primary and high schools. The vacancy in Kodagu district's govt schools shows 568 unfilled teaching positions, with 143 vacancies in primary schools and 425 in high schools. This shortage existed before the academic year started. In Madikeri taluk's govt primary schools, while 97 teaching positions are sanctioned, only 51 are occupied, leaving 46 vacant. Somwarpet taluk currently employs 132 teachers out of 195 sanctioned positions, with 63 positions unfilled. Virajpet taluk's govt primary schools have 86 teachers working against 120 sanctioned positions, leaving 34 vacancies. The district's govt primary schools have 412 sanctioned permanent teaching positions, with 269 currently filled, requiring 143 additional permanent appointments. Kodagu DDPI C Rangadhamappa said 384 guest teacher posts have already been sanctioned for Kodagu district. If there is still demand, guest teachers will be appointed. 70% of the textbooks and other supplies have been supplied. Work is under way to supply it to all schools, he said.

SSLC-1 exam: Top ranked DK district's pass percentage further improves with re-evaluation
The overall pass percentage of class 10 students in SSLC-1 examination in Dakshina Kannada district, which was ranked first, further improved to 91.64 with 144 more students passing in the examination following re-totalling and re-evaluation. Dakshina Kannada district reached the top slot with 25,326 (91.12%) of the 27,795 students passing in the SSLC-1 examination. Following re-totalling and re-evaluation, a total of 25,470 (91.64) students passed the examination. The Puttur education block, which recorded the maximum pass percentage of 94.09 (4311 of 4582 passed), saw further improvement with 20 more students clearing the examination. This took the overall pass percentage of Puttur block to 94.52 (4331 passed). Similarly, 14 more students passed in the Moodbidri block, which improved the overall pass percentage from 93.44 to 94.17 (1794 passed of 1905 students). As many as 26 students from Belthangady block passed and this took the overall pass percentage from 92.82 to 93.47 (3709 of 3968 students). Of the two Mangaluru city blocks, the pass percentage of Mangaluru north block improved from 91.76 to 92.55 (4609 of 5011 students) with 11 more students passing the examination. In the Mangaluru south block highest of 39 students passed and this took the overall pass percentage from 89.43 to 89.66 (4346 of 4816). In Sullia block, seven more students passed and this improved the pass percentage from 91.77 to 92.15 (1691 of 1835 students). As many as 27 students passed from Bantwal block and this took its pass percentage from 87.41 to 87.88 (4990 of 5678). The re-totalling and re-evaluation results also saw 23 more schools recording 100% students passing the exams. With this, a total of 172 schools recorded 100% result of which 97 were unaided, 62 government and 13 were aided schools. Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Director of Public Instruction Govind Maidwala said re-totalling and re-evaluation results have further enhanced the position of the district, which continues to make a mark in the SSLC and 2nd year PU examinations in the State. The valuation of answer sheets of SSLC-2 examination is yet to be completed, he said.

Teachers pool funds for re-evaluation, help more students pass SSLC exam
Mangaluru: Teachers from several govt schools in Dakshina Kannada pooled funds to support the re-evaluation and retotalling of answer scripts for students who failed the SSLC exam. Their efforts paid off, with many students clearing the exam and a rise in the number of govt high schools recording 100% results. After revaluation and retotalling, Dakshina Kannada's SSLC pass percentage rose from 91.1% to 91.6%. The number of students who passed increased from 25,326 to 25,470, indicating that 144 students who were initially marked as 'failed' or 'incomplete' cleared the exam. Govinda Madivala, DDPI, Dakshina Kannada, said following the SSLC annual exam results, govt high school teachers in Dakshina Kannada voluntarily pooled funds to help students who narrowly missed passing marks to apply for reevaluation. "The cost per subject is Rs 810 for reevaluation and Rs 400 for paper viewing, which totals Rs 1,210, which many govt school students could not afford. Moved by their plight, teachers took the initiative to fund the process themselves. As a result, several students who were earlier declared failed cleared the exam, helping some schools achieve 100% pass results," he said. As per available data, Belthangady, Mangaluru North, and Puttur BEO limits each recorded 34 schools with 100% results. Among aided schools, the number of institutions with full results rose from 10 to 13, while unaided schools increased from 90 to 97. A high school teacher noted that if the revaluation process were free or more affordable, many govt school students would have opted for it.
