Former Texas A&M wide receiver transfers back to Texas Tech
In the most unsurprising move of the offseason, former five-star wide receiver Micah Hudson, who played just one season with Texas Tech before transferring to Texas A&M this offseason was back in the transfer portal less than two months after committing to the Aggies, as the talented pass catcher couldn't find his footing with either team despite having a strong connection with A&M during his recruiting process.
While Hudson looked like a must-have offseason addition for Texas A&M, coach Mike Elko and wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins landed commitments from KC Concepcion (NC State) and Mario Craver (Mississippi State) while 2025 five-star signee Jerome Myles solidified the Aggies' receiver rotation, making Hudson's sudden departure easier to digest.
Hudson's elite traits, led by his speed and twitchiness at the top of his breaks made him a top option in the portal, garnering plenty of attention from Power 5 programs, but a return to Texas Tech was always in the cards, and became the favorite landing spot over the last two weeks.
Well, it became official after Hudson received a prediction from On3's Pete Nakos that Hudson would return to Lubbock last week, as he will transfer back to Texas Tech and likely compete for a starting spot with the Red Raiders in 2025. Again, this was always the way, as familiar territory means a seamless transition for a player that still has a high ceiling.

MSU target, 3-star DL Gavin Neil picks up offer from Boston College

MSU target, 3-star DL Gavin Neil picks up offer from Boston College A Michigan State defensive lineman target is gaining some traction on the recruiting trail, with a power four school extending him an offer this week. Gavin Neil of Chicago Heights, Ill. announced on Tuesday that he's received an offer from Boston College. Neil posted on his social media X account to share the notable offer from the Eagles. Neil is a three-star defensive lineman in the 2026 class, and holds a recruiting rating of 86 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 140 defensive lineman and No. 34 player from Illinois in the class. Michigan State and Boston College are the only two power four conference schools to offer Neil at this point in his recruitment, according to 247Sports. He holds other offers from smaller schools such as Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Marshall, Wyoming, Air Force, Army and Northern Illinois. Neil is set to take an official visit to Michigan State on June 20, and is currently projected to end up a Spartan via 247Sports' crystal ball predictions. So this latest offer from Boston College could threaten the Spartans' chances of landing his commitment later this month. This is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on as we progress through the next few weeks. Mock MLB draft has Mason Neville going to Milwaukee in the first round

Mock MLB draft has Mason Neville going to Milwaukee in the first round There were times this season when Mason Neville carried the Oregon Duck baseball team. It seemed as if he would hit a home run in every game. The Oregon centerfielder had a monster season where he set the program's single-season record with 26 home runs. He also hit .290 and drove in runs. Neville was hitting over .300 for much of the year, but he went into a late-season slump that brought his average down. For his efforts, MLB scouts are telling their bosses that Neville is a serious prospect. So much so that in the latest MLB mock draft from USA TODAY writer Gabe Lacques, the Duck centerfielder will be drafted at the end of the first round by the Milwaukee Brewers. According to Lacques, Neville's size and power will translate to the next level. "(Neville) should be a first-day selection and perhaps hits the outskirts of the first round if things break his way," he said. "Neville offers 30-homer power in a 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame that for now has stuck in center field." The MLB draft will occur during the All-Star Break July 13-14 in Atlanta. LOOK: Former Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka shows of new Tampa Bay uniform

LOOK: Former Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka shows of new Tampa Bay uniform The Ohio State football program saw a whopping 14 players get selected in the 2025 NFL draft, with four of them hearing their names called in the first round. One of those first-rounders, and the first one off the board, was wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the No. 19 overall pick. So yeah, from the Bucks to the Bucs, if you will. Emeka becomes the only former Ohio State player on the roster and adds to a wide receiver room in Tampa that might be the best in the NFL. Egbuka looked great in the Scarlet and Gray (who doesn't), but on Tuesday, we got our first look at him in the red and pewter of the Bucs as he posed for some media opportunities during the first day of mini-camp in Tampa. The all-time receptions leader in OSU history won't be wearing the No. 2 we saw him in while running crisp routes in Columbus, but will instead don the No. 9 in "Champa Bay." Here's a look at Egbuka in his new digs in Tampa. Hopefully, we'll see plenty of these scoreboard videos of him during the season this fall and winter. There will be plenty of former Ohio State players running around and doing special athletic moves on the football field in NFL stadiums this fall, and we'll be here to make note of many of those moments.
