Paris Saint-Germain strikers Ousmane Dembele was named Champions League player of the season as UEFA on Sunday picked seven of the title-winning side on the competition's team of the season.
PSG won the trophy for the first time by thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 in Munich on Saturday.

Dembele, who hit eight goals over the competition, did not score in the final but he provided two assists and his overall performance drew praise from the UEFA Technical Observer Group.
"Dembele has taken on the role of a leader in the Paris Saint-Germain team, as we saw in the final with how he worked so hard, pressing from the front," explained the committee.
"He created doubts for their opponents match after match with his clever movement, dropping deep to give his team superiority in the midfield."
PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and defenders Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes were also in the XI along with midfielder Vitinha and teenage attacker Desire Doue who scored twice and set up another in Saturday's rout.

The four non-PSG players in the team were defender Alessandro Bastoni of beaten finalists Inter, midfielder Declan Rice of Arsenal and Raphinha, the season's joint top scorer, and Lamine Yamal of Barcelona.
"We've made this selection of players, particularly in the attack, to reflect the exceptional mobility which was such a feature of the victorious Paris Saint-Germain team's approach," said the UEFA report.
"The forward line selected represents this – a flexible team with attacking players who can interchange positions."
Doue, who was not a regular starter as PSG struggled in the group stage of the competition, edged 17-year-old Yamal to the competition's young player award.

"Doue has been a revelation this season," said UEFA. "He made an incredible breakthrough in the knockout phase, going to the final and producing a Player of the Match performance on Saturday night, becoming the first teenager to score twice in a final."
Dembele's award could have an impact on the voting for Ballon d'Or, the annual global player-of-the-year award, which will be presented on September 22.
"I'd give the Ballon d'Or to Ousmane Dembele, simply for the way he defends," said PSG's Spanish coach after the victory on Saturday.
Yamal, Raphinha and Donnarumma are among other frontrunners for the award.

New JAMES BOND Game From IO Interactive Officially Titled 007 FIRST LIGHT — GeekTyrant

IO Interactive has revealed the official title for its highly anticipated standalone original James Bond video game, 007 First Light . The announcement was accompanied by a teaser image, with the official reveal of the game set to take place this week. The game will feature "a wholly original Bond story," which is said to put players "into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story." IO Interactive CEO and co-owner Hakan Abrak previously discussed the game and he revealed that they won't be using the likeness of any actor who has portrayed 007 in the past. He goes on to confirm that the creative team will also be creating a completely new story for their original version of Bond. He explained: "It's important to mention: doing a licensed game is new to us. We've only done our own, original IPs (intellectual property), right? We've created these characters... ourselves, from scratch. 'So, I think for us to really embrace this fully, and really, as I said before, we don't like to work 'mechanical.' It's not just because it's a big IP, or it's a licensed game, and commercially this is interesting... It means nothing to us. We've taken a lot of non-commercial risks before. 'So, for us, it's about... we need to feel it, deep inside. The passion needs to be there, so it was very important for us that it wasn't a movie adaptation. So, it wasn't a game about... a specific movie, where the story has already been told." "It's very important that we could create a digital Bond. A Bond for the gaming industry... So it's a completely original story. This felt really, really important for us and we conveyed that to [James Bond owner] EON and they agreed that the result would probably be better doing it like that. "There's always excitement around a new Bond. It's amazing, what they have done with the franchise over the years. Every Bond kind of defines a generation and it's amazing how they kept reinventing themselves over so many years. So, we're not only inspired by one movie, or games and whatnot. 'We're inspired by the whole thing, and just sucking things into us to make an original Bond, an original story, but that is absolutely true and recognizable in the values there is in Bond. I'm really looking forward to creating a new community that the gamers can call their own." I'm looking forward to seeing what this game will entail, and we'll learn more soon!

Bruno Fernandes turns down lucrative Al Hilal offer to stay at Man United

MUNICH (AP) — Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has turned down a proposed move to Saudi club Al Hilal because he wants 'to play at the highest possible level.' Fernandes confirmed Tuesday that he had received an 'exciting offer' from the Riyadh-based club to switch after what was a disappointing season for United. 'They waited for me to think about my future, because I said only if Manchester thought it was the time to move on, that I'd be willing to do so,' Fernandes said through an interpreter. 'I talked to the gaffer, Ruben Amorim, and at the time he asked me not to go. I then talked to Man United. They said they didn't want to sell me. If I wanted to go, I could, but they didn't need the money, they didn't need to sell me.' Media reports suggested Al Hilal was prepared to pay 100 million pounds ($135 million) to take the 30-year-old Fernandes from United while offering him a wage of 700,000 pounds ($946,000) per week to play for the Saudi Pro League team, which will compete in the Club World Cup this month in the United States. 'It was a very exciting offer,' Fernandes said. 'The president of Al Hilal, he was very nice to me. He talked to my manager but then I talked to my wife and as a family we wanted to see what I wanted to do. She asked me, what do you want to do with your future?' Fernandes last year signed a contract extension to stay at Old Trafford until June 2027. This season did not go as planned as the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League after finishing 15th in the Premier League, while United also endured the heartbreak of losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. 'We had goals and we didn't meet them,' said Fernandes, a key figure for United since his arrival in January 2020. He said it would have been easy for the family to make the move to Riyadh, and for him to adjust to the team with Portugal teammates Rúben Neves and João Cancelo already playing for Al Hilal. 'I'm used to them, but I want to play at the highest possible level," Fernandes said. "I want play for major competitions. I know I still can, and I want to be happy doing the thing I love the most. And for better or worse, I'm still very passionate about football. This is how I see football. This is how I see my life and my future, and I'm happy about the decision I made.' Fernandes was speaking as a Portugal player before the team's Nations League semifinal against Germany on Wednesday in Munich. The winner of that game will face either France or Spain in Sunday's final.
