HYDRAA demolishes illegal real estate layouts in Peerzadiguda cemetery
Tension prevailed in Peerzadiguda area on Thursday, as officials from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), moved in to demolish illegal structures built on government land designated as a minority cemetery in Kancha Parvathapur village.
Following public complaints, officials demolished three illegally constructed shops, foundations for 15 residential plots and two-meter-high compound walls built within the demarcated cemetery premises. The cemetery, situated on government land for over four decades, had been encroached upon during the Covid-19 lockdown period, with plots sold, foundations laid, fences erected, and shops constructed, informed a HYDRAA official.
The illegal activity, complainants said, had not only desecrated graves but also involved manipulation of legal documentation and collusion with former municipal officials. The complainants alleged that Sukhender Reddy, identified as one of the main encroachers, conspired with former Peerzadiguda mayor, Jakka Venkat Reddy and municipal co-opt member Jagdishwar Reddy to carve out the unauthorised layout. They are accused of misrepresenting government land under survey number 1 as part of their private property in survey number 12.
HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath reviewed the complaints using satellite imagery, Google Maps, and official revenue records. A subsequent field visit by HYDRAA and local revenue authorities confirmed the encroachments. Following a thorough inquiry, Commissioner Ranganath ordered the removal of all unauthorised structures.
Officials clarified that the action was not against ordinary citizens but against those who had illegally seized burial land with the aid of former public representatives. One of the plots was reportedly sold to one Rajinikanth Reddy, who went on to build shops and collect over ₹50,000 in monthly rent, despite knowing about the dispute.

Gordon Chang talks to Fox Digital (Screengrab from video on X) In light of recent arrests of two alleged "bioterrorists" in Michigan, an expert has advocated for complete disengagement from diplomatic relations with China, warning that they might be hit with 'something worse than Covid'. "The only way to stop this is to sever relations with China," attorney and Chinese Communist Party expert Gordon Chang told Fox News Digital. "And I know people think that's drastic, but we are being overwhelmed, and we are going to get hit. And we are going to get hit really hard. Not just with Covid, not just with fentanyl, but perhaps with something worse." Chang addressed the recent case involving Chinese nationals Yunqing Jian, 33, and her partner Zunyong Liu, 34. The pair allegedly conducted unauthorised research on Fusarium graminearum in American laboratories whilst smuggling it into the country over two years. Jian held a post-doctoral research position at the University of Michigan, with her studies partially supported by funding from the People's Republic of China. The Department of Justice describes Fusarium graminearum as a harmful fungus causing "head blight" in wheat, barley, maize and rice crops, resulting in annual global economic losses worth billions. The substance poses risks to human health, potentially causing vomiting, liver damage and reproductive complications in humans and animals. "This couple should be sent to Guantánamo," Chang said. "This Chinese government has declared a 'People's War' on us." A "People's War" refers to a military strategy established by former Communist Party Chairman Mao Zedong, who passed away in 1976. His leadership resulted in numerous deaths through famine and political persecution. This strategy involves sustained military and political pressure designed to wear down opponents. The authorities have charged Jian and Liu with conspiracy, smuggling, false statements and visa fraud. "We're Americans, so we think we're entitled to ignore the propaganda of hostile regimes," Chang said. "But for a communist party, [a People's War] has great resonance, and what they're doing with their strident anti-Americanism is creating a justification to strike our country," he added. "This means, for example, that this couple should be sent to Guantánamo," he added. "This was an attack on the United States at a time when China thought it was at war with us," he further said. In recent years, several incidents have raised concerns about Chinese espionage in the US. Chinese nationals and students have been caught illegally entering military bases, photographing sensitive sites, and attempting to steal trade secrets. Cases include breaches at a Key West naval station (2020), spying at Camp Grayling (2024), and drone surveillance of naval bases by a University of Minnesota student (2025). Separately, Harvard professor Charles Lieber was convicted in 2021 for hiding ties to China's Thousand Talents Program. Commentator Gordon Chang warned that such actions, including suspicious seed distributions, signal ongoing threats to US security. In state after state, the BJP-led NDA expanded its footprint, demolishing long-standing political strongholds and rewriting electoral history, all fought and won under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. In Maharashtra, the alliance secured over 79% of assembly seats, reaffirming its grip over India's industrial powerhouse. In Haryana, the BJP achieved the unprecedented feat of forming the government for a third consecutive term. Perhaps the most symbolic breakthrough came in Delhi, where the BJP returned to power after 27 years, ending decades of politics built on populism, freebies, and false promises. These victories were not isolated regional wins; they were united national endorsements for Modi's leadership, fought in his name and sealed by the people's Modi 3.0 government has also demonstrated political strength by passing some of the most contentious bills in recent history with absolute authority and without disruption in both Houses of Parliament. The Waqf Amendment Bill, long suppressed under layers of political appeasement, was decisively enacted to restore land rights and dignity to neglected Muslim sects, especially Muslim women, ending decades of the bold announcement of a nationwide Caste Census alongside the decadal census, Modi 3.0 shattered the status quo. Previous regimes merely exploited the caste census as a cynical vote-bank tool; this government seized it as a powerful instrument for data-driven governance, evidence-based policymaking, and true social empowerment, boldly moving beyond divisive politics.A major step towards long-term reform came when the Cabinet approved the long-pending One Nation, One Election proposal. This reform, long overdue, promises to eliminate policy stagnation, reduce election costs, and ensure smoother governance nationwide. Only a government with political will and a long-term vision could push this internal security story is no less remarkable. Once infamous as a Left-Wing Extremism hub, Bastar is now nearly free from Naxal terror. Through a combination of precise operations, development initiatives, and inclusive governance, the government has broken the backbone of the red corridor. The promise to make India entirely Naxal-free is no longer a slogan, it is rapidly becoming a reality. With unparalleled political capital, global credibility, and the unshakable trust of the people, this government is rewriting the rules of governance, redefining national security, and reimagining India's opposition leaders were saying that Modi 3.0 wouldn't match the momentum of his earlier terms. But PM Modi 3.0 emerges as a resounding mandate for a stronger, bolder, rising Bharat has proven otherwise, emerging as a more assertive, far-reaching, and visionary phase of leadership.
