The 17-year-old wonderkid penned the deal at the club offices earlier today in the presence of the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, vice-president, Rafa Yuste and sporting director, Deco, among others.
Since making his debut for Barcelona on April 29, 2023, at the age of only 15, Lamine has made giant strides, establishing himself as one of the best players in the world despite his tender age.
The Spanish international has been critical to Barça's success this season, winning three trophies, after having helped the national team lift the UEFA Euro 2024 last summer.
Lamine now extends his contract until 2031 and is expected to be one of the highest earners at the club with a salary of around €15 million per year.
The deal will also contain an enormous release clause worth €1 billion to ward off any suitors.

‘Always in my heart': Luis Enrique pays tribute to late daughter after PSG triumph

As Paris Saint-Germain clinched their first Champions League title, Luis Enrique's thoughts turned to his late daughter. Six years ago Xana died of osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. She was nine. And at the moment when he scaled the peak of his coaching career, Luis Enrique paid tribute to the child who he said was 'always in my heart'. At full-time the Paris fans unveiled a tifo depicting Luis and Xana, recreating the moment when he planted a flag in the pitch alongside her after winning the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015. 'It was very emotional with the banner from the fans for my family,' Luis Enrique said. 'But I always think about my daughter.' 'Since day one, I said I wanted to win important trophies,' he said. 'Paris had never won the Champions League. We did it for the first time. It's a great feeling to make many people happy.' PSG scored two goals inside 20 minutes and completed the rout in the second half, with the winger Désiré Doué scoring the first and third. 'We had a great start to the game, dominating from the beginning,' said Luis Enrique. 'But I wanted them to keep pushing, scoring, to ensure we won the game.' Doué, 19, was still processing a game that has elevated him into the very elite of world football. 'I can't believe what happened tonight,' he said. 'We made history for the club, in French football, in European football. We're a great team, and we showed it.' Inter's manager, Simone Inzaghi, tried to put a brave face on his side's humiliation. 'This hurts,' he said. 'Of course the game wasn't good enough on our part.' But he also insisted: 'We can come out stronger from this defeat, like we did in 2023 [after losing the final to Manchester City] and then won the league the following season.'

Inter Milan feels pain of another Champions League final defeat but pride remains

Associated Press MUNICH (AP) — Inter Milan's heroics against Barcelona make its record Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain all the more disappointing for the Nerazzurri. Inter staged an improbable comeback to beat Barcelona 7-6 over two pulsating semifinal legs. But there was no sign of that audacity or confidence on Saturday in Munich, where PSG romped to a 5-0 victory for the biggest winning margin in a European Cup final. 'It shouldn't overshadow the season we've had. You just need to think of the journey we've been on in the Champions League,' said Inter president Giuseppe Marotta, whose team also knocked out Feyenoord and Bayern Munich. Inter suffered its second defeat in the final in three years after losing the 2023 showpiece to Manchester City in Lisbon. 'The image that remains cancels a bit the great season that we have had,' Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella said. 'Because unfortunately, in life, as in soccer, what happens last is what we are left with.' That impression was one of a team that simply failed to match PSG's early intensity. PSG players looked sharper and hungrier, while Inter players gave the ball away with passes that failed to reach their intended recipient. Inter 'keeper Yann Sommer kicked the ball out of play twice early. It was no surprise when Achraf Hakimi broke the deadlock against his former side. Hakimi didn't celebrate but the PSG fans did. Their party was just beginning. Desire Doue scored twice, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ended the game as a contest, and Senny Mayulu completed the rout three minutes after going on as a substitute. 'They were stronger than us in everything, tactically, in their determination, they wanted it more, so we have to congratulate the opponents,' Barella said. 'At times, blows like this happen, you need to get back up, roll up your sleeves and try to take Inter back up to where it deserves to be.' Marcus Thuram had Inter's best chances, going close with a header in the first half, then forcing a good save from the otherwise untroubled Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 75th. There was no spirited comeback, no spectacular 'remontada' as against Barcelona. 'We didn't play a great final,' Inter coach Simone Inzaghi said. 'That said, I've thanked the players for this season, and I'm proud to be their coach. It's disappointing, but it doesn't erase what we've done.' Barella referred to getting to two finals in three years and exceeding expectations in recent years. 'We had a lot of games like against Bayern, like against Barcelona, where we said the heart mattered much more than the tactics," he added. 'Today, unfortunately, we lacked an important quality.' Inter announced before the game that its former club president, Ernesto Pellegrini, died aged 84. ___ AP soccer: recommended

Luis Enrique's heartfelt legacy with daughter Xana in the Champions League

Luis Enrique, the renowned football manager, has left an indelible mark on the sport, guiding teams like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to remarkable victories. However, beyond the trophies and tactics, his journey is deeply personal, intertwined with the memory of his beloved daughter, Xana. Tragically, Xana passed away in August 2019 at the age of nine after a brave battle with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Despite this unimaginable loss, Luis Enrique carries her spirit with him, especially during pivotal moments like the UEFA Champions League finals. Xana's Presence in the 2015 Champions League Triumph A decade ago, in 2015, Luis Enrique celebrated a monumental victory as he led Barcelona to a 3-1 win over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League final in Berlin. Xana, then just five years old, joined her father on the pitch in a heartwarming moment, planting a Barcelona flag into the turf. This iconic image remains a cherished memory for Luis Enrique, symbolizing joy, family, and triumph. The victory was part of Barcelona's historic treble that season, cementing Luis Enrique's legacy as one of football's elite managers. A Triumphant Return with PSG in 2025 Fast forward to June 1, 2025, and Luis Enrique found himself back in the Champions League spotlight, this time with Paris Saint-Germain. In a stunning 5-0 victory over Inter Milan at Munich's Allianz Arena, PSG claimed their first-ever Champions League title. After the final whistle, Luis Enrique paid a touching tribute to Xana, wearing a shirt featuring the logo of the Fundación Xana, a charity established in her honor by Luis Enrique and his wife, Elena Cullell.
