ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Ashwaubomay Food Truck Rally slated for Thursday, May 15, has been rescheduled due to impending severe weather, officials say.
In a release sent out on Wednesday, officials with the Ashwaubenon Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department stated that due to impending severe weather and wind forecasts, Thursday's Food Truck Rally has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 14.
WisDOT: Closures announced for two Menasha bridges, maintenance work
The next scheduled rally will be held on Thursday, June 19.

(WFRV) – As smoke and haze continue to linger from wildfires in Canada, the Wisconsin DNR has extended the Air Quality Advisory another day for most of Wisconsin. The advisory extension now lasts until Friday, June 6, at 12 p.m., as the DNR's Air Quality Index remains in the Orange, or 'unhealthy for sensitive groups.' Affected counties include Brown, Door, Kenosha, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Milwaukee, Oconto, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. Celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Wisconsin State Park System during June's Free Fun Weekend Officials recommend that anyone who falls into the 'sensitive groups' to make outdoor activities shorter and less intense, while including more breaks. It is also recommended to watch out for symptoms, including excess coughing or shortness of breath. 889-acre wildfire blazes near San Rafael Valley in southern Arizona
State and federal fire crews responded to a new wildfire in southern Arizona near the San Rafael State Natural Area state park in Santa Cruz County. The Ranch Fire, located about 19 miles southeast of Patagonia, has burned through 889 acres and was spreading toward the south and southeast, according to a post on X from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. Beginning on state land, the fire spread to the Coronado National Forest, burning within heavy grass and brush. As of 1:30 p.m. June 4, there was no containment of the Ranch Fire. Approximately five to 10 properties along 134 Road to the north of the fire have been moved to the 'set' phase of the state's 'ready, set, go' emergency response scale, the state Forestry Department said. Residents should identify the closest shelter or safe location in the area, prepare an emergency kit and be ready to evacuate the area if the situation escalates, officials said. Large air tankers are working with teams of hand crews and engines on the ground to make progress toward containment. More resources have been ordered to respond to the blaze. The cause of the Ranch Fire has not been determined. In May 2025, state, federal and tribal agencies implemented Stage 2 fire restrictions in southeastern Arizona due to extreme drought conditions and wildfire activity. Since May 12, the restrictions have prohibited all campfires and stove fires on public lands, even those built within developed campsites, as well as outdoor smoking. Fireworks were always prohibited on state and federal land. Violations of the restrictions were punishable by fine or imprisonment, and violators may be held personally responsible for reimbursement of fire suppression costs. Wisconsin DNR: Limit time outside due to Canadian wildfire smoke
MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Wisconsinites are once again being asked to limit their time outdoors on Tuesday into Wednesday due to ongoing air quality advisories resulting from the Canadian wildfire smoke. According to a release from the Wisconsin DNR, the smoke will be moving across the state throughout the day from the northwest to the southeast. Local nonprofit announces 2025 event to benefit lead singer of The Glam Band The DNR has also announced an advisory for particulate matter < 2.5 microns (RED). Health impacts are reaching the unhealthy level and could have short-term spikes in the very unhealthy level. Those with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children are advised to make their outdoor activities shorter and less intense. DNR officials say to consider moving outdoor activities inside if applicable.
