It has made strides in providing livelihoods to tribal communities, contributing to the successful management of large-scale events like the Maha Kumbh and enhancing exports of wood-based products.
The corporation works towards sustainable forestry and environmental protection through effective forest management. It undertakes the collection and sale of forest produce and promotes the socio-economic welfare of forest-dependent tribal communities.
It has transformed into a profit-making enterprise. In 2023-24, it earned Rs 246.3 crore, while in 2024-25, the revenue stood at Rs 243.3 crore. The corporation recorded Rs 150.6 crore revenue in 2020-21, Rs 151.7 crore in 2021-22, and Rs 227.7 crore in 2022-23.
The corporation has also made impactful contributions to social welfare. Through the collection of tendu leaves, it has provided livelihood opportunities to nearly two lakh tribal families.
Around four lakh standard bags of tendu leaves were collected this year, creating employment for contractors and labourers engaged in the beedi industry. This initiative not only strengthens the rural economy but also plays a vital role in empowering tribal communities.

Cargo aircraft can also be a boon for floriculture sector in Ganjam', he said.
