Preity Zinta who is dearly missed on screen is still remembered for her memorable movies - from 'Veer Zaara' to 'Soldier' and many more. The actress has largely been spending time in LA ever since she got married to Gene Goodenough.
She has two children, Jai and Gia and has largely been away from the limelight since then. However, she's currently in India with the ongoing IPL (Indian Premiere League). Preity's team Punjab Kings qualified for the finals against Royal Challengers Bangalore. But did you know that before Preity became a mom for real, she became a mother to 34 girls as she adopted them?
The actress had shared, "I've adopted 34 girls. I'll be looking after their entire upbringing from education to food, clothes etc.
You've no idea how wonderful it feels to hear the excited chatter of all these girls together. These are my children now, my responsibility. I'll be constantly connected with them and I'll visit them twice a year."
Preity had earlier shared that she was personally involved in providing for their schooling, nutrition, and clothing. She revealed that speaking with the girls moved her deeply. At the time, she had expressed a strong desire to visit them biannually.
She also admitted that she often felt troubled by the harsh realities faced by girls from less privileged backgrounds. The alarming stories of female foeticide and children growing up in harmful environments had shaken her.
It had inspired her to begin this journey, and she had made it clear that this was just the beginning—she hoped to adopt more children in the years ahead.
The actress had announced the arrival of her twins through surrogacy in November 2021. Preity is now set to make her comeback to the movies with 'Lahore 1947' co-starring Sunny Deol.

Neena Gupta once recalled being homeless after being thrown out of her aunt's house with baby Masaba Gupta: ‘I had nowhere to go'

Neena Gupta once shared a very personal and difficult part of her life. After the birth of her daughter, Masaba Gupta , Neena faced a shocking challenge — she was thrown out of her aunt's house in the middle of the night. In a chat earlier this year on YouTube channel, the veteran actress opened up about one of the most painful moments in her life. Neena's life in Mumbai The 'Badhaai Ho' actress moved to Mumbai from Delhi in the 1980s to build her acting career. Instead of renting homes, she always preferred to sell and upgrade. But during one such transition, things didn't go as planned. She had just sold her house and used the money to book a new flat in a builder's project. While waiting for her new home to be ready, she needed a place to stay. So, she turned to family. The 'Goodbye' actress shared, 'I shifted to my aunt's house, where I had stayed before. I thought I stayed there so much of the time, and I just came back to my house to sleep. Since Masaba was little then, my aunt used to help in looking after the baby.' 'She kicked me out': The shocking night Everything seemed fine at first. Neena had already informed her uncle and aunt that she would be staying with them for a while since she didn't have a house at the time. They agreed. But suddenly, things took a harsh turn. She said, 'But one day, she threw me out in the middle of the night; she kicked me out. I had no money left. There was this one night where I had nowhere to go with a baby.' A dusty, abandoned shelter Neena's uncle felt guilty about the way things had happened. Wanting to help, he offered her a house in Juhu that had been closed for 20 years. The place was in bad shape, but she had no other option. She further shared, 'My uncle felt very bad, so he shifted me to his mother-in-law's house in Juhu, which had been shut for 20 years. There were cobwebs in the house; it looked rusty. I went there, and I cleaned that house with a small baby. But soon, I was asked to leave that house as well.' Once again, Neena and baby Masaba were left without a home. With nowhere else to go, Neena decided to speak directly to the builder from whom she had booked the new flat. She explained her tough situation and asked for her money back. Thankfully, the builder agreed and returned the full amount. With this money, Neena was finally able to buy a house in Aram Nagar. Neena and Masaba Gupta Neena Gupta gave birth to Masaba in 1989. At that time, she was in a relationship with West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards . Raising her daughter alone, she faced many challenges both in her personal life and in public. Later, in 2008, Neena found love again and married Vivek Mehra in a quiet ceremony. Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma 'Got More Screen Time': Preity Zinta's Fans UPSET After IPL Final

Last Updated: Preity Zinta's fans are upset with broadcasters for 'forgetting' about her and PBKS after RCB's IPL win. The 2025 IPL Final was held on Tuesday, June 3, between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Virat Kohli's RCB emerged victorious after a wait of 18 years, and the stadium erupted with joy as he ran to hug his actress wife, Anushka Sharma. Visuals of Virat and Anushka went viral across social media platforms as fans lauded their chemistry. However, some Preity Zinta fans are upset with broadcasters as she didn't get enough 'screen time' after PBKS' loss. A post on Reddit, which has now gone viral, read, 'Anushka Sharma got more screen time than Shreyas Iyer (PBKS captain). I've been watching cricket for years, and I don't think I've ever seen a final so focused on one narrative. RCB deserved the win… It felt like PBKS didn't even exist." The post mentioned, 'No post-match heartbreak, no acknowledgement of the fight they put up — not even a single proper shot of Preity Zinta. And about the constant focus on Anushka Sharma… yeah, she's always been part of the cameras during Kohli matches, but this felt excessive. Her reactions were shown more than even some RCB players." The post mentioned that while it intended no hate for Virat and Anushka, Preity Zinta also deserved attention as the owner of PBKS. One person wrote in the comments, 'True, I felt it too…surprised to see they didn't give any attention to even Preity Zinta." Another mentioned, 'So so true! Finally, someone said it." Another wrote, 'I agree with you guys. Emphasis ought to be given to both perspectives. This win wouldn't have felt as special without tough competition." One person commented, 'But honestly, even if RCB had lost, it would still be Virushka content all over — just a sadder version. Kohli crying, Anushka coming down to hug him." Another added, 'Virat, Virat's wife, Virat's old mates AB & Gayle… It was just about them last night. The rest of the RCB players were barely given any limelight. Even the captain Rajat, didn't get any attention. So I'm not surprised they completely forgot about Punjab and Preity." One person wrote, 'I was eagerly waiting to see Preity and Iyer's reaction after the loss, but they were busy showing Anushka and her reactions." Meanwhile, several Indian celebrities are celebrating RCB's win. Among others, Deepika Padukone, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda and Mahesh Babu congratulated Virat Kohli. Suniel Shetty also took to his Instagram stories to pen down a heartwarming note for Virat and Anushka. First Published:
