Preity Zinta who is dearly missed on screen is still remembered for her memorable movies - from 'Veer Zaara' to 'Soldier' and many more. The actress has largely been spending time in LA ever since she got married to Gene Goodenough.
She has two children, Jai and Gia and has largely been away from the limelight since then. However, she's currently in India with the ongoing IPL (Indian Premiere League). Preity's team Punjab Kings qualified for the finals against Royal Challengers Bangalore. But did you know that before Preity became a mom for real, she became a mother to 34 girls as she adopted them?
The actress had shared, "I've adopted 34 girls. I'll be looking after their entire upbringing from education to food, clothes etc.
You've no idea how wonderful it feels to hear the excited chatter of all these girls together. These are my children now, my responsibility. I'll be constantly connected with them and I'll visit them twice a year."
Preity had earlier shared that she was personally involved in providing for their schooling, nutrition, and clothing. She revealed that speaking with the girls moved her deeply. At the time, she had expressed a strong desire to visit them biannually.
She also admitted that she often felt troubled by the harsh realities faced by girls from less privileged backgrounds. The alarming stories of female foeticide and children growing up in harmful environments had shaken her.
It had inspired her to begin this journey, and she had made it clear that this was just the beginning—she hoped to adopt more children in the years ahead.
The actress had announced the arrival of her twins through surrogacy in November 2021. Preity is now set to make her comeback to the movies with 'Lahore 1947' co-starring Sunny Deol.

But during one such transition, things didn't go as planned. She had just sold her house and used the money to book a new flat in a builder's project. While waiting for her new home to be ready, she needed a place to stay. So, she turned to family. The 'Goodbye' actress shared, 'I shifted to my aunt's house, where I had stayed before. I thought I stayed there so much of the time, and I just came back to my house to sleep. Since Masaba was little then, my aunt used to help in looking after the baby.' 'She kicked me out': The shocking night Everything seemed fine at first. Neena had already informed her uncle and aunt that she would be staying with them for a while since she didn't have a house at the time. They agreed. But suddenly, things took a harsh turn. She said, 'But one day, she threw me out in the middle of the night; she kicked me out. I had no money left. There was this one night where I had nowhere to go with a baby.' A dusty, abandoned shelter Neena's uncle felt guilty about the way things had happened. Wanting to help, he offered her a house in Juhu that had been closed for 20 years. The place was in bad shape, but she had no other option. She further shared, 'My uncle felt very bad, so he shifted me to his mother-in-law's house in Juhu, which had been shut for 20 years. There were cobwebs in the house; it looked rusty. I went there, and I cleaned that house with a small baby. But soon, I was asked to leave that house as well.' Once again, Neena and baby Masaba were left without a home. With nowhere else to go, Neena decided to speak directly to the builder from whom she had booked the new flat. She explained her tough situation and asked for her money back. Thankfully, the builder agreed and returned the full amount. With this money, Neena was finally able to buy a house in Aram Nagar.
