With an increased cost-of-living, alongside lowered sales, the owners have made the decision to close the showroom.

However, Shackletons itself will remain open and based in Batley, as the contracts side of the business has continued to be profitable.
The home and garden furniture store has received plenty of gleaming Google Reviews over the years.
One person said: "Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
"Showed me lots of options for a reclining armchair.
"They then agreed to visit my sister two days later with a possible choice for her and said if she liked it, she could have it there and then.
"Excellent service and the chair was soooo comfortable and just what she needed. Thank you shackletons, no waiting for weeks for delivery."
Followed by a second: "Excellent choice of chairs, choice of hundreds of different fabrics and designs.
"Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed a very good cup of coffee whilst testing one of the chairs with a foot rest and reclining back, really comfortable. Would recommend."
Meanwhile a third said: "Lovely clean showroom, pleasant staff.
"We went to have cushions recovered on a suite that we bought from there 17 years ago.
"Fortunately they still had the templates, unfortunately material not used anymore, but we found a contrasting one so hopefully within a few weeks the sofa will look as good as new!
"Just shows that you get what you pay for, the furniture seemed a bit expensive in 2001, but has stood the test of time extremely well! Well done Shackletons."

Insider tip from a Tesco employee A Tesco employee has revealed a surprising secret about the self-scan trolleys. According to the worker, random checks on customers using these trolleys are not entirely random. The checks are actually triggered by a specific customer habit. If you frequently pick up and put down items without scanning them, you're more likely to be selected for a check. This is due to the system detecting suspicious behaviour, which could indicate potential theft. So, to avoid delays, it's best to scan items immediately after placing them in your trolley. One person said: 'Amazing.' Another added: 'Also melts snow and ice.' SHOPPERS are racing to Tesco to snap up a £12 cabin bag which fits perfectly in EasyJet and Ryanair airplanes. The bargain case is just a fraction of the price of the Samsonite version. 1 Tesco is selling £12 suitcases on clearance With the holiday season around the corner, you might be on the lookout for good deals. After splurging on flights and hotel, the last thing you want is to pay extra for Ryanair or EasyJet luggage fees. But eagle-eyed shoppers have found a solution with a suitcase that passes the airlines' restrictions and is easy on your wallet. One bargain hunter spotted the epic discounts in her local Tesco store and was eager to share it with others. Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook page with 2.5 million members, one member uploaded a snap of the cheap suitcases. The picture showed a shelf full of of carry-on cases which are retailing for only £12 on clearance. Apart from waterproof material, the suitcases sport a 360 degrees gliding wheels and can fit up to 30litres of clothing. In comparison, a similar suitcase from Samsonite will set you back a whopping £295. Shoppers were left open-mouthed by the cheap suitcases and many eagerly flocked to the comments to express this. Shoppers rush to snap up Primark's 'underseat suitcase' which is perfect for holidays & it also has removable wheels if you need it to be even smaller One fan raved: 'These are actually really good." While another called them 'a bargain buy'. The discounted cases are a part of Tesco's Constellation line, which also offers Manhattan-style luggage in a variety of colours and sizes. Members of Clubcard will also be able to take advantage of some fantastic discounts. The Manhattan Constellation cabin case costs £55 at full price, but with a Clubcard, it just costs £40. But some lucky shoppers have found even better deals on leftover or reduced stock, with some scanning at just £12 at the checkout. Just be aware that prices vary from store to store and depend on local stock, so it's worth checking your nearest Tesco or phoning ahead to ask if they've got any left. The cabin case also meets strict EasyJet size rules, meaning you won't be hit with unexpected fees at the gate. The budget airline only allows one small bag per passenger on board and it must measure no more than 45cm x 36cm x 20cm, handles and wheels included. The bag must also weigh less than 15kg and fit under the seat in front of you. Anything bigger will need to go in the hold and that'll cost you extra at the airport.

Sir Dave Brailsford ‘steps back from Man Utd' as Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans major reshuffle after disastrous season
Off the Brails Sir Dave Brailsford 'steps back from Man Utd' as Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans major reshuffle after disastrous season SIR DAVE BRAILSFORD is set to step back in his role at Manchester United, according to reports. The move comes as part of a major reshuffle being planned by Ineos head-huncho Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Advertisement 3 Sir Dave Brailsford is set to step back from his role at Man Utd Credit: Getty 3 It comes as part of a major reshuffle plan from Sir Jim Ratcliffe Credit: PA 3 Brailsford had been working alongside Man Utd chiefs like Jason Wilcox Credit: Getty According to The Times, Brailsford will be reducing his commitment to Man Utd and returning to his role as director of sport for Ineos. Brailsford, famed for his so-called "marginal gains" ideology from cycling, stood down as team principal of Ineos Grenadiers when Ratcliffe purchased his minority stake in the Red Devils. He then took charge of football operations at the club and has been in that role for a year trying to implement change at the club. However, the season has been nothing short of a disaster after Man Utd finish a record-low 15th place and go trophyless after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. Advertisement Despite this, the 61-year-old has been credited by British billionaire Ratcliffe in overhauling the performance set-up at Man Utd. He was also heavily involved in the £50million redevelopment plan for the club's Carrington training ground and setting the goals outlined in Mission 21 to get both Man Utd men and women winning league titles. The report adds that Geraint Thomas will be taking a senior leadership role at Ineos' professional cycling team when he retires as a rider at the end of this season. Brailsford's step back comes at a time when Ineos is reducing its sporting commitments. Advertisement THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
