I get £2.9K in UC a month & people think I'm rolling in it – but as a pregnant mum-of-3 who also WORKS I'm left with £25
A YOUNG mum has revealed that she gets almost £3,000 a month in Universal Credit, but is left with just £25 after her bills and nursery costs.
Millie, a 21-year-old mum-of-three who is 'attempting to budget better and save more ', explained that her nursery fees cost her almost £2,000 a month alone.

Not only this, but her rent and bills amount to nearly £1,000.
As a result of her monthly outgoings, the young woman, who is now pregnant with baby number four, due in September 2025, is often left 'skint' just days after receiving her benefits.
The young woman, who is from the UK, has a job and also makes "a little bit of money" from her TikTok videos via the Creator Fund, took to social media to share her situation, leaving many totally stunned.
Millie, who is eligible for Universal Credit, which is given to UK residents with a low income or those who need help with their living costs, as well as child benefits, claimed that people think she is 'rolling in the money', but was eager to share the reality of her life.
In a short clip which saw her doing laundry, Millie revealed: 'Universal Credit gave me £2,917 this month and I just wanted to do a little breakdown of where this all went and how much I had left over after paying everything.'
Millie explained that as well as spending £910 on rent, gas, council tax and 'all that lovely stuff', she also has huge nursery costs.
The content creator, who previously revealed that haters called her a 'benefits scrounger', added: 'The kids' nursery came to £1,979, which left me with about £25.
'So, yeah, that did cover all the bills and a roof over our head, but if I didn't work and if child benefit wasn't a thing, then there's no way that you'd be able to feed three kids - four people, including me - on £25 for a whole month - literally just impossible.'
Millie also continued: 'So many people see the overall figure of how much people get from benefits, but the reality of it is it doesn't go far at all - you literally just have to have the bare minimum, which I know that is what it's for, whatever, but there's still no extra.
'I know there's so many people that will say, you get to just stay at home and do nothing, blah, blah, blah - really?'
Debunking Myths: Life on Universal Credit
The TikTok clip, which was posted just 21 hours ago under the username @ millie.2103, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 186,500 views, 1,629 likes and 23 comments.
Social media users were left gobsmacked by Millie's claims and many eagerly raced to the comments to share their thoughts on her situation.
Am I entitled to Universal Credit?
According to the GOV website, if you're on a low income or need help with your living costs, then you could be entitled to Universal Credit.
To claim, you must live in the UK, be aged 18 or over (with some exceptions if you're 15 to 17), be under State Pension age, and have £16,000 or less in money, savings and investments.
Other circumstances are if you are out of work, or unable to work, for example because of a health condition.
One person said: 'I'd cry paying that in childcare fees. At least you can hold your head high and say you're working, most wouldn't.'
Another added: 'I'm lucky to get £300 a month. I'm homeless and have a baby and I've been in the Army. Nice one Britain.'
In response, Millie snapped back and wrote: 'I'll say the same to you as what's said to me - 'should've thought about that before you had a baby'.'
There's no way that you'd be able to feed three kids - four people, including me - on £25 for a whole month - literally just impossible
Millie, 21
A third commented: 'You can't win, you get told not to send kids to nursery and work less but if you did you'd get moaned at.'
Whilst someone else asked: 'If your wages aren't more than £2k why send the kids to nursery?'
To this, Millie replied: 'Because it's good for them and technically I hardly pay the fees because UC give me 85% back towards the following month. I just top it up if needed.'
How much is child benefit worth?
THERE are two child benefit rates, one for the eldest child and another for younger children.
You get £21.15 per week for your eldest or only child (£1099.80 a year)
You get £14 for each of your other children (£728 per year, per child)
You get the money for each child under 16 (or under 20 if they stay in approved education or training)
If families split up, how much you'll get for each child depends on how you claim.
If you have 2 children and one stays with you and the other stays with your ex-partner, you'll both get £21.15 a week for each child.
If one parent claims for all the children, you get £21.15 for the eldest and £14 for each younger child.
Only one household can claim for each child

I'm a mum & Tesco has delivered the goods with its £19 dress – the only thing I can't decide is which colour I prefer
IF you're on the lookout for that perfect summer dress that you can just throw on and feel stylish, you'll want to plan a trip to Tesco. The supermarket's in-house fashion label, F&F, has become a firm favourite for its stylish buys at budget-friendly prices. And now thrifty fashionistas are raving about yet another bargain find - a new strapless midi dress that's perfect for a sunny holiday or a day on the beach. The best part? You'll even get change from £20, making it ideal for a cheap summer wardrobe refresh. The strapless dress has already taken the internet by storm, with one mum-of-four, Katrina Shand, raving over the gorgeous buys on TikTok. Katrina, who describes herself as '' midsize '', snapped up the £19.50 frock in both black and khaki - although the retailer also offers a stunning version in cream. The summery dress features a ribbed, fitted bandeau top and flowy skirt with pockets - it really doesn't get much better than this. Whatever the occasion, fashionistas can easily dress it up or down - pair it with sandals or Birkenstocks for a more casual ensemble, or team it with heels for a fancier look. The supermarket find ranges from a size 6 to 22. However, it's not available on the website so you'll need to be quick if you want to get your hands on it. According to Katrina, from Solihull, there were ''loads of black in Shirley'' - but she did bag ''the last green'' one. The stylish mum-of-four, who posts under the username @ modelled the fabulous dresses with the on-trend chunky sandals, a belt around her waist, summery accessories and a pair of sunnies. I've found the perfect summer top from M&S, and I'm even more excited now I can finally shop there online again The stylish shopper, who snapped up the dresses in size UK 14 and is 5ft 4'', was so amazed by the fit she couldn't decide which colour she liked more. She wrote in the caption of the video: ''F&F delivering the goods for summerrrrr! ''What do we think girls BLACK or KHAKI?!?'' How to find the perfect DD+ dress for summer Looking for the perfect summer dress to fit your bigger bust? Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale has the perfect solution. Looking for the perfect summer dress to fit your bigger bust? Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale has the perfect solution. Finding a dress that flatters your bigger bust can be hard, often dresses can leave your bra showing, squash your bust and just be ill fitting in general. However, there are a few things you can look out for that will make dress shopping easier. A V-neck is a really flattering neckline as it gives your chest some more space, however, don't discount a square neck also, not only is this a trendy neckline, but will also give your bust the room it needs. Empire line fits are also super flattering, you just need to make sure they fall underneath the bottom of your bra, that way your bust will sit nicely before the rest of the dress skims your body. Wrap style dresses are also a great option but just make sure to look for an added popper detail, so that you don't have to use a safety pin to hold the dress in place and stop your bra from showing. Extra shirring detail on the back will also give the dress more room for stretch around your chest. And if you're looking for a backless dress then make sure there is one with a tie detail at the back that means you can still wear a bra. If all that sounds like something you're interested in then here at Fabulous we have created a collection specifically designed for DD+ boobs that ticks all of these boxes. Check it out here at The frock, which is amazing for avoiding those tan lines this summer, has become a mega hit on social media, as Katrina's video has racked up close to 140k views in just two days. More than 2,700 people gave it a like, as dozens flooded to comments, where one wrote: ''Gorgeous aren't they, I got the black one and the cream one, I was gutted they didn't have the green in my size.'' A mum-to-be chimed in: ''Oh my goodness my pregnant self NEEDS these dresses.''

I'm a Vinted expert and I've worked out exactly when to sell clothes to make the most money
A Vinted seller has shared her number one tip for quickly and efficiently selling your pre-loved clothes. UK-based mother and Vinted enthusiast Rachael, who goes by @RachShops on TikTok, sells second-hand clothing on the online marketplace. If her daughter's clothes no longer fit her, for example, she takes to the app and makes a profit from them, instead of leaving good quality clothes hanging in the wardrobe. But she says the key to selling fast on Vinted is timing - specifically which part of the month you list your items. In fact, Rachel explains, listing items towards the end of the month when most people are getting paid could mean they get snapped up more quickly - as it's 'prime selling time'. In a TikTok video posted towards the end of the month, Rachael said: 'This is my most popular Vinted selling tip - the plan is part of a strategy.' Holding up a tub of spring and summer clothes, Rachael said she planned to list them all on Vinted that evening. 'The bigger picture of me doing this tonight is because it's the 27th, it's near the end of the month and most people are getting paid. 'Believe me, this is prime selling time, so I always make sure I list around these days at the end of each month.' Rachael said that, as most people get paid around that time, they have the cash to spend. 'And they will be spending it on Vinted as well,' she said. The avid seller also offered some other timing tricks that she swears by for best results on the app. Rachael advised to make sure that clothes are being sold seasonally in order to maximise sales, for example when listing items during the spring and summer. 'Always think about that when you're listing stuff,' Rachael continued. 'Just make sure it's relative to the time of year and what people are actually looking to buy.' Rachael said that having suitable mailing bags already on hand saves both time and money, and prevents you from rushing at the last minute. 'The thing I would highly recommend you do if you are a Vinted seller is have mailing bags ready before you list anything so you're organised and prepared. Rachael says it all comes down to timing - and listing your items at the end of the month lines up with most people's paydays 'You should have mailing bags to start with - it saves the stress, first of all, of knowing what to package it up in. 'Second of all, you can post it really quickly, helping towards your positive feedback and good reviews.' And Rachael urged sellers to post their items quickly, for the simple reason that you'll 'get your money' faster as a result. Bu the successful seller is not the first to share her useful hacks for making the most of the app. Another secondhand online clothes seller who has made thousands of pounds on Vinted previously revealed her top tips for sales success. Maisie, who is from Yorkshire, searches cat boot sales, charity shops and online pre-loved websites for cheaply-priced garments with a high resale value. Although it started off as a side hustle, Maisie made reselling her full time career last year after earning £18,000 from flogging clothes. Now, she has helped others by telling them how they too can make a wage from the app - and according to her, it's very simple. Maisie said: 'I absolutely love buying on Vinted to resell on Vinted. It's so easy and it just goes to show the difference that a good quality picture with good lighting and a good background can honestly make.' She says that you should always list similar clothes sizes at the same time on Vinted, as people may browse your page and find other items that they like, resulting in more sales. 'They're more likely to get their money's worth by buying a bundle from you so it will boost your sales and your profit at the same time,' Maisie added. 'You're only having to ship out one parcel and the buyer is only having to pay one lot of postage and fees.'

Woman sparks debate on ‘comfy' thongs after mistakenly buying them & says she can ‘feel my bum cheeks clapping together'
Others agreed that a pair of "Bridget Jones's" are the best KNICKER KNOCKERS Woman sparks debate on 'comfy' thongs after mistakenly buying them & says she can 'feel my bum cheeks clapping together' A WOMAN has sparked a fierce debate about whether or not thongs are actually comfy after accidentally buying some for her holiday. Ellie was stocking up for her holiday when she mistakenly popped a pack of G-strings in her basket instead of her favourite briefs. 2 Ellie was left fuming when she accidentally bought thongs for her holiday Credit: tiktok/@ellieyoung1993 2 But saying that the G strings are less than comfy sparked a fierce debate in the comments section Credit: Instagram/@ellieyoung1993 But when it came to actually wearing the barely-there underwear on her vacation, Ellie was left fuming by just how "uncomfortable" they were. "So I've accidentally bought thongs," she said in a video on her TikTok page as she strolled along in the sunshine wearing a cute and colourful Shein playsuit. "And I am telling you now anyone who says they're comfy are lying! "My arse cheeks are clapping together." When her other half started looking at her, she told him: "These literally feel like a bit of dental floss. "Honestly they are so uncomfortable!" she added in the video caption. "I love mine, wouldn't be without them," someone else said. I don't rate Skims undies but a dupe in my local supermarket is 10 times better - it's so comfy & the thongs are only £3 But others insisted they much prefer a larger brief. "I haven't worn anything other than granny knickers since having my kids," one wrote. "And I am never looking back, best things ever!" "I hate thongs," another raged. "I honestly don't know how people can wear them!" "Girl, I am the same - do not wear them. They're awful!" a third said.
