Body of Mohammed Sinwar likely found in Gaza tunnel

ALBAWABA - The body of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar was likely found inside a tunnel in the Gaza Strip, Saudi news network Al-Hadath reported on Sunday morning, Al-Hadath website reportedly said, citing sources from Gaza.
Mohammed Sinwar's body was found inside the Hamas tunnel alongside 10 of his aides in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, Al-Hadath added.
Earlier, Israel claimed that it targeted Yahya Sinwar's brother, Mohammed Sinwar, in the southern Gaza Strip, in an airstrike in the vicinity of the European Hospital.
The Israeli army allegedly said that Mohammed Sinwar, the head of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, was "in a hideout under the hospital."

The BBC clarified that all figures were clearly attributed, starting with an initial count of 15 fatalities from medics, rising to 31 as reported by the Gaza health ministry, and later citing the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which confirmed at least 21 deaths. The ICRC also said its field hospital in Rafah received 179 people, including 21 declared dead on arrival. Leavitt also criticized the Washington Post's handling of the incident, noting that the newspaper deleted one article due to sourcing concerns. The Post subsequently updated the story and headline to clarify that there was no consensus on who was responsible for the deaths.
