Chennai Super Kings will face Rajasthan Royals in their 13th league match of IPL 2025 on May 20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from 7:30 PM IST and then take on table-toppers Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 25 from 3:30 PM IST. The Chennai-based franchise has only managed to win three out of 12 matches played so far in IPL 2025, and with six points, they are 10th in the league table.
Chennai Super Kings became the first team to get knocked out of the IPL 2025 playoffs race on April 25, and MS Dhoni's men would now like to win the remaining two matches to finish the ongoing season on a positive note and avoid an embarrassing last-place finish.

"Really Important For All Of Us To...": Prasidh Krishna Sets Record Straight Ahead Of India vs England Test Series
India pacer Prasidh Krishna says he has learned to "switch on" as per the team's requirements and is now looking to carry his rich IPL form on to the tour of England. Having come back from a long injury layoff, Prasidh displayed excellent form in the IPL 2025, and emerged as the league's highest wicket-taker and the winner of the Purple Cap. He is now chuffed about the five-match Test series against England, beginning at Leeds on June 20, for which the touring party is currently engaged in an intra-squad match here. "(You have to) make sure you are focussed when your chance is coming. But you can't really be focussed for a long time, especially when you are sitting outside, so you make sure you have a bit of fun. "When you know you can sense situation, you make sure you support your team at particular situations, making sure you are being switched on because anything can happen in the game, that's the beauty of cricket in itself. "I think all of us are experienced to know when you must switch on and switch off," Prasidh told BCCI TV. He has come back to cricketing action reinvigorated after a long and frustrating wait on the sidelines due to recurrent injuries, which also forced him to go under the knife. One of Gujarat Titans' most influential players in the last IPL, Prasidh said the game time in UK before the big Test series will benefit the team immensely, as players from different franchises and state sides converge for a common cause with the Indian team. "It's really important for all of us to get this game time... because some of them are coming form the 'A' game. Getting some time on field is really important. That's what has happened today as well. "Looks like a good, nice, hard pitch. Bowlers have been in the game all throughout, have been bowling some really good spells. Batsmen also showed some character. It's always good when you are competing against each other as well. "All of us are excited and enjoying what's happening... All of us are getting together after a while, so a lot memories, a lot of cricket each one has played with different teams, coming here, have spent a lot of time before... just try and make sure you keep the environment light," he said after the opening day's play on Friday. As per an update by the BCCI, skipper Shubman Gill and senior player KL Rahul scored half-centuries, while Shardul Thakur was among the wickets on the first day of the match.

Faf du Plessis defies age at 40 to take superman-like catch during MI New York vs Texas Super Kings in MLC 2025
Faf du Plessis defied age at 40 to take a superman-like one-handed catch to dismiss MI New York's Michael Bracewell in the second match of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 at the Oakland Coliseum in California on Saturday. Led by Du Plessis, Texas Super Kings were playing their first match of the MLC 2025. The incident took place in the 14th over of the MI New York innings, bowled by Adam Milne. Reacting to a slower back of the length delivery, Bracewell played a flat-batted shot with a decent power. Although it looked that the ball wouldn't be off Du Plessis reach, but the veteran of the sport leaped to his right like a bird to snap the ball. Earlier, batting first, Texas Super Kings rode on Devon Conway's 65 and Calvin Savage's 53 not out to steer the team to a competitive 185/6. While Conway stood tall at one end, Texas Super Kings kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. It was until Conway and Savage put together a 79-run stand for the sixth wicket to take the total past 180. In reply, MI New York had the worst possible start with openers Agni Chopra and Quinton de Kock back in the hut with single digits. Monank Patel (62), Bracewell (38) and Kieron Pollard (32) tried their best but it wasn't enough as the New York-based franchise fell short by three runs.
