Garden enthusiasts have stumbled upon a brilliant way to spruce up their outdoor spaces, snatching up some clever solar-powered garden lights from Amazon. These eco-friendly lights skip the hassle of complex wiring or unattractive cables by harnessing energy directly from the sun.
Priced at €23.81, these garden beauties mimic real flowers, and have garnered applause from buyers for their 'realistic' appearance. The offer includes two bunches in each pack, with each display boasting 40 blossoming flowers. For those eager to personalise their gardens, there's a variety of hues to pick from including blue, pink, red, yellow, and white, reports the Express.
Delighted Amazon shoppers report that the lights are 'beautiful both day and night' and stand out as 'great for people who can not have real flowers'. Featuring two distinct lighting modes – steady and twinkling – the Snow Lotus flower lights cast an enchanting glow perfect for lively soirées or tranquil evenings spent outdoors during the summer months.
Given the Ireland's notorious weather changes, even in summertime there's always the chance of a sudden shower. Nevertheless, consumers declare their Amazon garden light purchases a success, stating: "I bought these so that we'd have something that looks pretty and lights up where our steps are in the garden. It works very well and now we don't fall in the dark. Nice quality and they've withstood some heavy wind and rain recently and are still functioning well."
Dunelm's Sophie Robinson LED Outdoor Solar String Lights are a charming addition to brighten up your garden. Retailing at €29.78, customers rave about how they look 'sparkling in the garden at night time'.
Lights4fun's Flower Shaped Micro LED Solar Stake Lights have been slashed to €35.72 and are receiving glowing reviews from buyers who appreciate them 'even when they are not lit up'.
Feedback on Amazon's selection confirms their popularity. A satisfied customer commented: "Amazing quality. These and every colour I've ordered from this supplier are stunning. Light up my garden, love fab in the daytime. Nothing not to love."
Another buyer shared: "They look like flowers and you can gently bend and arrange them where you want them. Very pretty indeed and my friend has already asked where I got them to buy some, recommend highly."
However, one less impressed shopper remarked: "Nice when lit up,but don't stay on for long. Not worth the money."
Contrastingly, another reviewer expressed delight: "I am so pleased with these lights. The colours of them at night are amazing. They are easy to install, good quality and just the right size for any garden. Really good value and so versatile."

The £30 Ozempic swimsuit that takes 10lbs off your tummy – here one woman tries it

IF the thought of wriggling back into your swimsuit fills you with dread, you're far from alone. According to new research from lingerie and swimwear brand Pour Moi, only seven per cent of women feel fully fabulous stepping out in their cossies. Just seven. Advertisement 5 I recruited size 14, mum-of-one Michelle Court to test out this miracle swimsuit (pictured in her normal swimsuit) Credit: David Cummings 5 Available for £27.99 on Amazon in six different colours, the cossie completely showcased Michelle's figure Credit: David Cummings The rest of us? We're artfully draped in sarongs, in tent shaped cover-ups or doing that frantic towel dance by the pool in a bid to stay incognito. Because let's be honest, hauling last summer's swimwear from the bottom drawer rarely feels good. That magical tummy control? Stretched beyond salvation. The 'statement colour'? More like a fading memory, now tinged with SPF smears and fake tan mishaps. Advertisement Then comes the dreaded try-on. You catch a glimpse in the mirror and bam - any flicker of body confidence evaporates faster than your iced rosé in a midday heatwave. But here's the thing, it's not just you. We've all had the mirror moment. We've all sworn under our breath in badly lit changing rooms . And we've all wished, more than once, that swimwear came with built-in courage. But those dreams could become a reality. Whilst on the search for swimwear this year, I turned my attention to TikTok which, like it or not, is a good barometer for consumer style reviews. Advertisement The first one I stumbled-scrolled upon was a brand called Cupshe. A top selling American swimwear brand that does ship to the UK and is available on Amazon. So far, so good. Primark drops brand new collection of bikinis in gingham, floral and colour block designs - and they'll set you back just £2.50 per piece Cupshe is a brand that on the surface sounds like every other swimwear brand with words like 'empower', 'inspire' and 'support'. But the brand's Slim & Sculpt swimsuit caught my eye. A viral clip racking up millions of views featuring three women, all different in shapes and sizes, slip into the same figure-loving cossie. Advertisement The secret? A corset-style lace-up back that cinches in all the right places, giving each of them an envy-inducing hourglass shape. In the comments section one fan of the swimwear gushed: 'These make you feel SO confident – and that speaks volumes!' Another said: 'Just got mine and I can't believe how good it looks.' I'm immediately sold - but I need to see it in the flesh. Available for £27.99 on Amazon in six different colours, I recruited size 14, make-up artist and mum-of-one Michelle Court , 41, from Rochford, Essex , to test out this miracle swimsuit. Advertisement 'Every time it comes to going on holiday I get a new cossie,' says Michelle. 'I used to be a bikini Queen and never think of pulling on a one-piece, but after a baby my confidence to show off my body has dwindled. 'These days I love a swimsuit for holding everything in. 'When I'm looking for my new holiday swimsuit I always try to hunt for one with a really good shape that flatters my figure, doesn't dig in too much and one that keeps everything in its place.' Medium is the corresponding Advertisement But two minutes later Michelle is out of the dressing room in the red lycra number and looks like she's ready to run in slow motion down the beach. 'It's like I've been on weight loss injections!' Advertisement She was right, this swimsuit completely showcased her figure - and not a fat jab in sight. I was dubious as to whether swimwear can really be that transformative but from seeing Michelle in a thousand-wash beige costume that had zero bust support or elasticity, the change was undeniable. She said: 'It really does hold you in, like, cinches in everywhere - not like that old one from the loft.' 'Its got amazing bust support, it feels like someone has just come in behind me and lifted me - and lifted everything. 'I feel way more confident than I do in my usual costumes.' Made from 92 per cent polyester and 8 per cent Spandex the Advertisement You can tie it as loosely or as tight as you like to take inches off your waist and it really, really works. And at the back the suit also gives great bum coverage, unlike many high street swimsuits that are barely bigger than a thong at the back. Michelle said: 'Honestly, I love it. It's a 10/10 swimsuit… Can I take it home?'

Irish sports star joins Love Island 2025 cast after last-minute shake-up

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info An Irish sports star has officially joined the Love Island 2025 cast - after a shock last-minute shake-up saw one original Islander pulled from the line-up just days before launch. Kyle Ashman was set to enter the villa in Mallorca alongside 11 other sexy singletons - but he was suddenly axed from the line-up over a previous arrest yesterday. An ITV spokesperson confirmed: "For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island Villa as planned". And now, in a surprise twist, 25-year-old professional rugby player Conor Phillips from Limerick has swooped in to take his place. The former Munster Academy man, who was part of Ireland's Grand Slam winning under-20 squad in 2019, made two senior appearances for the province in the 2022/23 season. He now plays in the All-Island League for Terenure, and he has also appeared for Ireland's Sevens side - much like fellow Limerick man and former Love Island winner Greg O'Shea. The confident winger says he's after "someone who is really sure of themselves, ambitious, a bit of a go-getter and good craic" - and revealed he doesn't mind "a dominant woman". But don't expect him to be clingy. "I don't like to answer to anyone else. I like to do my own thing", he admitted, adding that being "too needy" is his biggest ick. He described himself as the "class clown type vibe", and joked his love life would be called 'Still Trying' - "it's got to be a rugby pun, hasn't it?" And while he says he'd be "keeping my head above water" in the dating world, he's ready to settle down and "invest in some stocks". As for his flirting style? "I ask girls if they want to go halves on a baby… it doesn't work, but it gets them laughing." Conor becomes the second Irish contestant confirmed for this year's Love Island series, which kicks off Monday, June 9 on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Play. He'll be joined by Megan Forte, a 24-year-old musical theatre performer and panto star originally from Dublin. Now living in Brighton, Megan describes herself as bubbly and is looking for a man with a great sense of humour - and says she's more than happy with a "dad bod". The full 2025 cast includes Almia Gagigo, Helena Ford, Megan, Megan Moore, Shakira Khan and Sophie Lee, who will be coupling up with Conor, Ben Holbrough, Bly Chegini, Dejon Noel-Williams, Harry Cooksley and Tommy Bradley.
