Cricket fans go wild as star Sam Konstas posts thirst trap shirtless pics to social media

Daily Mail5 hours ago

First Sam Konstas set cricket fans' hearts racing with his incredible play against India - and now he's doing it simply by taking some selfies.
The swashbuckling 19-year-old has posted a series of very revealing images to social media as he tours the West Indies with the Aussie Test team.
Konstas announced himself to the world in his Test debut against India last summer with a daring half-century, showing resilience against a world-class bowling attack.
That included stunning the crowd with a fearless ramp shot for six off Jasprit Bumrah, who had been terrorising the Aussie attack.
After briefly making way for Marnus Labuschagne in the Test series in Sri Lanka earlier this year and the World Test Championship final, he is likely to return to the Test XI against the West Indies in a three-match series starting in Barbados on June 26.
And he is already lapping up the sun and attention in Barbados with some very revealing images he posted to Instagram.
There is the trademark shot of him batting in the nets, plus some tourist happy snaps of historic monuments, the hotel pool and the bar.
But Konstas also took the time to ditch his shirt in a series of revealing photos showing him enjoying the Caribbean life.
'Stop being so handsome and good luck for the upcoming series,' one fan commented.
Another cheekily posted: 'Lost your suitcase?'
'When sexy Sammy is smiling, the whole world is smiling,' a fan account added.
It's not the first time the young batsman has sent pulses racing.
Konstas was also recently connected to the glamorous daughter of former Test opener Matty Hayden, but they have insisted they are just friends after they posed for a photo together at the races in Australia.
'Wow, what a lady you have,' one fan posted at the time.
'What a great couple,' added another.
However, Grace Hayden already has a partner in cotton-heir boyfriend Wilson Statham.
Konstas admitted emotions got the better of him in his whirlwind debut, but has vowed to repay the selectors' faith with a spot on the upcoming Ashes squad on the line.
'The emotions probably got to me with the crowd,' Konstas told reporters in Barbados.
'It was good reflecting and having a bit of time off, trying to strengthen my game.
'I feel like I trust people that I work with and they understand my game.
'I'm not trying to prove to anyone how I'm going to play. I just want to be myself and obviously understand when to take the game on.
'It's a dream come true, to be honest.

Archer makes red-ball comeback to boost hopes of England test team return

June 23 (Reuters) - Jofra Archer made his first appearance in a first-class match in four years on Sunday in the County Championship as the 30-year-old quick continues his comeback from a spate of injuries and looks to play himself into a spot in the England test squad. Archer, who has taken 42 wickets in 13 tests, has not represented England in the longest format since February 2021 as his career stalled due to fitness problems including elbow injuries and back issues that sidelined him for long periods. His latest setback came only last month when a thumb injury ruled him out of the one-day international series against West Indies. National team selector Luke Wright said last month that Archer could be in contention to play in England's second test against India at Birmingham from July 2 and captain Ben Stokes has been left in no doubt about the bowler's desire to return. "He's been absolutely desperate to put the white shirt back on," said Stokes last Thursday ahead of the first test. "He's had a torrid run with injuries, but he's managed a fair bit of white-ball cricket recently. "The fact that we can now put a structure in place for his red-ball return is a great sign." Batting at number 10, Archer scored 31 off 34 balls against Durham to help Sussex reach 322-9 at stumps on Sunday and he is likely to bowl later on Monday.

Aussie cricket stars hit back after their former teammate accused them of GREED for putting their careers ahead of the team

Australian cricket stars Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon have hit back at former teammate Mitchell Johnson's scathing remarks about the team following Australia 's recent defeat in the World Test Championship. Johnson, one of the nation's greatest wicket-takers in Test cricket, recently questioned the motivation of several senior Australian stars he used to play alongside. 'We've seen concerns about Hazlewood's fitness in recent years, and his decision to prioritise returning to the delayed Indian Premier League over his national team preparations raised eyebrows,' Johnson wrote in his column in The West Australian. 'Lyon didn't look his best on day three either. 'Our successful "big four" bowling attack of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon can't be taken for granted as a lock going forward either. 'If veteran players are sticking around just for the Ashes as a send-off, it does beg the question of whether that's the right mindset. It's crucial that we embrace the future and build confidence in selecting our next Test players. 'I'm not being overly critical of an ageing team which has achieved plenty together … but it's essential to consider when the right time is to make some tough calls.' Hazlewood resumed his commitments in the lucrative IPL instead of travelling directly to London to prepare for the WTC final. 'I haven't seen any of that, to be honest,' Hazlewood told The Age when asked about Johnson's stinging remarks. 'We know what's going on inside our rooms. It seemed far and away the best place to get ready for any type of cricket that was coming up. 'The weather was definitely a factor as well. Just getting over there and playing intense competition like that, it's hard to replicate in training. 'Sydney, it was raining and I had literally nowhere to bowl. I got to Brisbane for three or four days and it was very wet. We were lucky to get on. 'I just thought the best place to bowl was India. We were still in the competition, we were going to play semis, and I was going to be there for 10 days. 'I think it was comfortably the best option.' Nathan Lyon also rejected the idea that senior players were hanging around for a send-off instead of making way for younger talents. 'Regarding "Johnno", there's nothing really to be said there,' Lyon said. 'We never take any of our positions for granted. There's that much competition within the squad … and guys putting the senior players under pressure. 'There's no one planning a farewell tour or anything like that. I don't see there's a reason why the guys can't keep going for a number of years. 'They're only doing that for the betterment of Australian cricket. We want to play in games, we want to win games.

Truth behind Sydney's Eastern Suburbs 'cheating scandal' exposed - after mystery Range Rover is spray-painted with brutal message

The social set of Sydney 's eastern suburbs was sent into a frenzy over the weekend after a black luxury Range Rover was spotted vandalised with the word 'cheater' sprayed in bold silver paint across its side. And now Daily Mail Australia can reveal the truth behind the mystery. While many assumed it was a savage act of romantic revenge, it turns out to be a cheeky and cleverly executed PR stunt by cult beauty brand Nude by Nature, orchestrated by PR maven Danielle Williams of The Concierge Agency. The stunt first unfolded early Saturday morning when the eye-catching vehicle appeared parked along Campbell Parade in Bondi Beach. The word 'cheater' was sprawled across the doors, prompting stunned locals to whip out their phones to capture the explosive scene. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Among them was Love Island star Aidan Knox, who quickly posted a snap of the defaced SUV to his Instagram Story with several laughing emojis. A closer look revealed the Range Rover had been fitted with fake licence plates, adding to the intrigue. Later that afternoon, the same vehicle was spotted again - this time parked across the road from Double Bay's Royal Oak Hotel. Gym-goers and brunchers couldn't help but notice a message plastered across the windscreen which read 'Don't deny it, I have the receipts!' accompanied by a mysterious QR code. Naturally, curious passersby scanned the code in droves, expecting a bombshell exposé on a local love rat. Locals say the car remained parked for hours, with dozens of people filming it for TikTok, uploading photos to Instagram and scanning the QR code to get in on the action. But instead of a scandalous identity reveal, they were redirected to a dedicated landing page on the Nude by Nature website, promoting their new mascara, Lash Affair. The tongue-in-cheek page declared: 'Cheater! You've clumped and flaked. You are toxic'. It then offered the new ceramide-infused formula for just $1 and invited beauty lovers to 'cheat on your toxic mascara' and have a clean Lash Affair. The bold activation had already made waves online by that point, especially in the Bondi Local Loop Facebook group, where amused locals posted the photos and debated whether the vehicle was the result of relationship drama or a publicity stunt. 'Well deserved,' one user commented. Another called the act 'too funny,' while others speculated: 'Who did they upset?' and 'This is gold.' Some commenters suspected it was a PR move from the start, given Bondi's history of outrageous marketing stunts. Marketing Manager Xenia Charovatova told Daily Mail Australia: 'We knew the word 'cheater' would turn heads and that's exactly what we wanted. But our goal was to reframe it with a wink. 'We want Australians to feel confident cheating on their current mascara in favour of a cleaner, more nourishing formula that actually performs. It's time to ditch the drama, not your lashes.'
