The UAE condemned on Thursday the ramming attack that took place in the German city of Munich, which resulted in several injuries.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the UAE strongly condemns "such criminal acts and consistently rejects all forms of violence targeting civilians and undermining security and stability".
The ministry also expressed solidarity with Germany and its friendly people in light of this reprehensible act, while extending wishes for a swift recovery to all those injured.
At least 20 people were hurt after a car crashed into a crowd in Munich, emergency services said, a day before the city hosts a high-profile security conference.
The incident also came 10 days before Germans head to the polls in a key election on February 23.
"At the moment there are 20 injured, several of them seriously and some of them in a life-threatening condition," fire service spokesman Bernhard Peschke said.
