David Beckham Had The Perfect Response To A Group Of Fans Losing It After Spotting Him In Traffic

Yahoo5 hours ago

A group of men couldn't contain their excitement when they realized that they were parked next to none other than soccer legend David Beckham while driving through London earlier this week.
The boys captured the moment in a TikTok video, which has now gone viral — with David himself responding to the footage on his Instagram page.
In the video, Tosin Sokoya is filming out of the car's open window, and David clearly heard the commotion that he had caused as he is looking over and smiling from his spot behind the wheel.
Tosin and his two friends repeatedly exclaim: 'No!' at the surprising celebrity sighting, with one of them shouting: 'No, bro, no way — seriously though?!'
Tosin then repeatedly tries to get David to rev his engine, but David politely declines, joking that he is 'too old to rev anything.'

The entire exchange lasts less than 30 seconds, but the men are clearly on a high, with Tosin saying: 'Crazy, what the hell just happened?!' when the traffic lights change and they and David go their separate ways.
The TikTok has already been seen more than 800k times since it was posted on Wednesday, with many people sharing their second-hand joy at the clip in the comment section.

'I love how happy it made you all tho. That's actually so wholesome 🥰🥰' somebody else wrote, while another added: 'I was smiling hard throughout the video as if it was me who met him. David is so nice.'
Others poked fun at Tosin's cheeky video caption, which read: 'David Beckham met me in traffic today… Wbu?'
'Met you in traffic? You didn't meet him?😂' one viewer joked, while another quipped: 'No way David Beckham got to meet you.'
And when the TikTok made its way over to an Instagram fan page, David himself ended up reposting it to his story.
'They were like rev your engine bruh 😂' David wrote on the video. 'I was like I'm 50 I don't do that anymore.. @tosin_sokoya Good to see you boys 😂'
Needless to say, Tosin couldn't believe that David had mentioned him in his story, promptly uploaded this TikTok in response:

Mom planned her wedding around her autistic daughter's needs—and redefined what a meaningful celebration can be

On a warm, quiet morning in May, Jodie Bevan helped her teenage autistic daughter Sofia into a soft, simple dress—something she hadn't worn in more than 10 years. Nearby, a teddy bear dressed in a tiny suit waited on the seat reserved just for her. Instead of shaping her wedding around tradition, Jodie shaped it around Sofia. She imagined a day where her daughter would feel calm, included, and loved. Every detail—Sofia's outfit, the timing of the photos, the sensory toy bag at her place setting—was chosen with one purpose: to help her feel good in her body, in the room, in the moment. When Jodie later shared a video of the day, it quickly went viral—garnering 2.6 million views and resonating with families around the world. Every part of the day reflected the way Jodie shows up for Sofia daily—with care, clarity, and a willingness to meet her exactly where she is. She focused on what would help her daughter feel grounded and joyful, knowing that comfort would create space for connection. She arranged for photos to happen early, before the noise and stimulation picked up—just one example of how she designed the day around her daughter's needs. 'Planning our wedding with Sofia's needs first,' Jodie explained in her video. 'We made all of our vendors aware of Sofia's needs beforehand, including the photographer.' There's pressure to meet expectations or perform tradition—but often, those expectations aren't designed with every child in mind. Jodie's wedding story is a quiet but powerful reminder that redefining milestones through inclusion and emotional safety doesn't lessen their meaning—it deepens it. She shaped the moment around what her daughter needed to feel safe, calm, and joyful. That shift created space for real connection, not in spite of who Sofia is, but in full celebration of it. It's an approach that resonates deeply with so many parents who are trying to honor both the occasion and the child they love. Jodie's video struck a chord with thousands of viewers—especially parents of neurodivergent children who saw themselves in her story. Yazzy Ward: 'My sister has autism and she was my bridesmaid, she's 13 and it was first time she wore a dress in many years and to say she smashed it was a understatement ' Dramaswaff: 'What an angel. She reminds me of Wendy in Peter Pan ' Rjl89: 'You say weddings aren't about perfection but I think this is the most perfect expression of love for your family ' Lisa A: 'That's beautiful and now given me ideas for when my partner and I get married with his daughter being autistic so thank u so much for sharing xx' Ford-MK3 ST: 'We just got married last Thursday. Both my children, ages seven and nine, have autism. We made it all about them, with music playing softly, and my son stood by my side, holding my hand during the ceremony made my day' Related: My son has autism: Here are 5 things you can do to help families like ours thrive Whether it's a wedding, birthday, or graduation, inclusion starts with presence. Jodie's story is a gentle reminder that we can design meaningful experiences by asking a simple question: What will help my child feel most supported in this moment? For some families, that might mean adjusting the schedule. For others, it's choosing clothes that feel good or creating a quiet place to rest. Sometimes, it's as simple as letting go of how things are 'supposed' to look—and focusing instead on how they feel. As Jodie beautifully puts it, 'Weddings aren't about perfection—they're about love. And for us, love meant creating a day that felt good for Sofia, too.'

TikTok Hits Cannes, Where a U.S. Ban Seems a Distant Dream

Just six months ago, TikTok's future in the United States looked doomed. The Supreme Court had upheld a federal law that called for it to be sold from its Chinese owner, ByteDance, or face a ban. It even went dark for half a day. But this week on the French Riviera, the specter of TikTok's American demise seemed like a distant fever dream. The company — which remains under the same Chinese ownership — set up shop at the swanky Carlton Hotel during the annual Cannes Lions advertising festival, with a space it dubbed 'TikTok Garden,' where employees held court with marketers, creators and its fans. Shou Chew, TikTok's chief executive, met with creators who posted about the meetings at the hotel, where rooms in the summer often start at 1,000 euros ($1,150) per night. TikTok also paid to bring some of its most popular creators to Cannes for the week, including @ReesaTeesa, whose relationship drama shared on TikTok is now being made into a TV show, and a comedian who goes by @AdamW. Creators spoke on panels and mingled with enthusiastic fans, who lined up nightly for TikTok's evening 'Frosé Soirées.' Other TikTok executives, including its advertising team leaders, met with marketers, played pickleball with at least one creator and took a boat to a restaurant with employees from an influencer agency. The activities underscore TikTok's careful efforts to outmaneuver Washington while maintaining its appeal to advertisers, creators and its more than 1 billion global users. President Trump on Thursday said he had signed an executive order granting the company another 90 days — to mid-September — to find a new owner to comply with a federal law that requires the company to change its ownership structure to resolve national security concerns. The company, which was also in Cannes last month as an official partner of the town's famous film festival, has maintained a high-profile presence at cultural and industry events in the face of intense political upheaval. Nearly two weeks after President Joseph R. Biden Jr. signed the law banning TikTok last year, Mr. Chew attended the Met Gala as a co-chair. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.
