RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index dipped on Thursday, losing 127.90 points, or 1.10 percent, to close at 11,543.67.
The total trading turnover of the benchmark index was SR5.09 billion ($1.35 billion), as 52 stocks advanced, while 193 retreated.
The MSCI Tadawul Index decreased by 16.97 points, or 1.14 percent, to close at 1,471.91.
The Kingdom's parallel market Nomu also dipped, losing 147.4 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 28,129.77. This came as 32 stocks rose, while 41 fell.
The best-performing stock on the main index was Saudi Printing and Packaging Co., with its share price surging by 6.18 percent to SR13.06.
Saudi Cement Co. saw the steepest decline on the main index in Thursday's session, with its share price slipping 5.75 percent to SR43.40.
In a bourse filing, Banque Saudi Fransi announced that it has completed its $650 million offering of US dollar-denominated Additional Tier 1 capital notes.
The issuance, conducted under the bank's Additional Tier 1 Capital Note Programme, was offered to eligible investors in Saudi Arabia and internationally, with settlement set for May 7.
The notes were issued at a return of 6.375 percent per annum and are perpetual in nature, with a call option exercisable after six years. A total of 3,250 notes were issued, each with a par value of $200,000.
According to the bank, the instruments may be redeemed prior to the scheduled call date under certain conditions outlined in the base offering circular.
The notes will be listed on the International Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange and were offered in reliance on Regulation S under the US Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
The bank's share price traded 0.54 percent lower on the main market to reach SR18.30.
Halwani Bros. Co. also announced its interim financial results for the first three months of the year, with net profit amounting to SR11.51 million, a 4.58 percent decline compared to the previous quarter last year.
The company attributed the decrease to higher general and administrative expenses, as well as increased selling and distribution costs. It also said that this was due to an increase in other income as a result of the reversal of provisions that are no longer needed.
Halwani Bros. Co's share price traded 0.52 percent lower on the main market to reach SR47.95.
In the first quarter of 2025, Fourth Milling Co's net profit rose 25.154 percent quarter on quarter to SR52.6 million, according to a filing on the stock exchange.
The group attributed the increase to sales growing by 2 percent, amounting to an increase of SR3.4 million, and zakat and tax payments decreasing by SR1.4 million.
The company's share price traded 0.25 percent lower on the main market to reach SR3.97.
Saudi Steel Pipe Co. also announced its interim financial results for the first three months of the year, with net profit amounting to SR69 million, an 81.57 percent surge compared to the previous quarter.
The company attributed the increase to higher volume, improved efficiency and product mix of products sold, and administrative expenses decreased to SR14 million in the first quarter 2025 from SR19 million in the fourth 2024.
The company's share price traded 0.18 percent higher on the main market to reach SR56.10.

The Kingdom's parallel market Nomu gained 65.84 points to close at 27,049.84. The MSCI Tadawul Index edged down by 0.08 percent to 1,383.41. The best-performing stock on the main market was Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co., with its share price surging by 6.71 percent to SR17.50. The share price of Naseej International Trading Co. also rose by 6.14 percent to SR83. Saudi Research and Media Group also saw its stock price rising by 5.92 percent to SR150.40. Conversely, the share price of United Carton Industries Co., dropped by 3.98 percent to SR41. On the announcements front, Meyar Co. said that it received a contract worth SR1.67 million from the Municipality of Unaizah. In a Tadawul statement, the company revealed that the agreement includes the supply of curbs stones and interlock tiles to the municipality. It added that there are no related parties involved in the deal. The share price of Meyar Co. edged up by 0.93 percent to SR54. Dar Almarkabah for Renting Cars Co. said that it signed a chauffeur-driven car rental contract valued at SR6.98 million with Wareed Health Medical Co. In a Tadawul statement, the company revealed that the contract period is valid for 24 months, adding that the impact of the deal will be visible in the firm's financials during the second quarter of this year. The share price of Dar Almarkabah for Renting Cars Co. was unchanged at SR2.47.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index closed slightly higher on Monday, gaining 24.82 points, or 0.23 percent, to reach 10,850.09. Total trading turnover on the main market stood at SR4 billion ($1 billion). Market breadth remained mixed, with 116 gainers against 120 decliners. The MSCI Tadawul 30 Index rose 2.47 points, or 0.18 percent, to settle at 1,384.58. The parallel market Nomu recorded a more pronounced gain, climbing 314.77 points, or 1.18 percent, to 26,984, with 31 stocks advancing and 49 retreating. Savola Group led the main market gainers, advancing 4.48 percent to close at SR28. United Carton Industries Co., which recently debuted on Tadawul, added 4.40 percent to close at SR42.70 with over SR217 million in traded value. Other notable gainers included Aldawaa Medical Services Co., which rose 2.92 percent to SR77.60, Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries Co., up 2.82 percent to SR124, and Jabal Omar Development Co., which gained 2.76 percent to close at SR21.56. On the downside, Riyad Bank posted the sharpest drop of the day, falling 3.51 percent to close at SR27.50. Zamil Industrial Investment Co. dropped 2.76 percent to SR38.75, while Naseej International Trading Co. declined 2.86 percent to SR78.20. Emaar The Economic City slipped 2.71 percent to SR12.92, and Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati for Bookstores Co. fell 2.45 percent to close at SR35.80. On the announcement front, Al-Modawat Specialized Medical Co. disclosed that its board had passed a resolution to initiate the company's transfer from the Parallel Market to the Main Market. The move is subject to regulatory approvals and fulfillment of the market's listing conditions. Shares of Al-Modawat ended the day down 1.84 percent at SR17.06. Saudi Arabian Mining Co. announced that it has received approval from the Capital Market Authority to proceed with a capital increase in connection with its previously disclosed acquisition of full ownership in Maaden Bauxite and Alumina Co. and Maaden Aluminium Co. The move is part of a share purchase and subscription agreement signed with AWA Saudi and Alcoa Saudi in 2024. The capital increase will raise Ma'aden's share capital from SR38.03 billion to SR38.89 billion through the issuance of 861.9 million new shares. The newly issued shares will be used to acquire 100 percent of the shares held by AWA Saudi in MBAC and Alcoa Saudi in MAC, corresponding to 25.1 percent of the issued capital of each entity. In total, Ma'aden will issue 89.98 million new shares to AWA Saudi and 165 million shares to Alcoa Saudi at a nominal value of SR10 per share. The transaction is expected to be executed through a combination of share issuance and cash payment. The company stated that further updates, including shareholder meeting arrangements for capital increase approval, will be announced in due course. Shares of Ma'aden closed 0.92 percent higher on Monday at SR49.50.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index slipped on Thursday, as it shed 62.35 points, or 0.56 percent, to close at 10,990.41. The total trading turnover of the benchmark index was SR10.20 billion ($2.72 billion), with 169 of the listed stocks advancing and 74 declining. The Kingdom's parallel market Nomu also dropped 123.20 points to close at 26,809.75. The MSCI Tadawul Index declined by 0.70 percent to 1,403.80. The best-performing stock on the main market was Saudi Reinsurance Co. The firm's share price soared by 9.31 percent to SR50.50. The share price of East Pipes Integrated Co. for Industry increased by 7.83 percent to SR124. Arabian Drilling Co. also saw its stock price edging up by 5.12 percent to SR84.20. Conversely, the share price of Makkah Construction and Development Co. declined by 5.65 percent to SR96.80. On the announcements front, Al Moammar Information Systems Co., also known as MIS, said that it signed a contract valued at SR58.93 million with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority to operate and maintain the National Unified Visa Platform. In a Tadawul statement, the company stated that the contract is valid for 36 months, with no related parties involved in the deal. MIS added that the contract is expected to have an impact on the company's financial results starting from the third quarter of this year. The share price of MIS rose by 1.66 percent to SR134.80. Al Kathiri Holding Co. said that its subsidiary, Saraya Al Diyar Investment Co., has entered into a long-term lease agreement valued at SR143.1 million with the Aseer Municipality to build and operate a mixed-use hotel and commercial complex in Abha. Under the deal, Saraya Al Diyar Investment Co. will establish a four-star hotel with 180 keys, as well as retail and entertainment facilities in the project that spans a total area of 53,000 sq. meters. The new contract is in line with Al Kathiri Holding's strategic direction to diversify its investment portfolio and expand into promising, high-impact sectors, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, the company said in the statement. Al Kathiri Holding Co.'s share price was unchanged at SR2.08 by the end of Thursday's trading.
