Once out, students can check their results on the official website at The WBJEE 2025 cut-off list will be based on several factors including the number of applicants, seat availability, exam difficulty, past year cut-off trends, and test takers. This year, the WBJEE exam was conducted on April 27 in pen and paper format across various centers across West Bengal. The exam was held in two shifts; Paper 1 (Mathematics) from 11 am to 1 pm and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) from 2 pm to 4 pm. The preliminary answer key was issued on May 9. Step 1: First, open the official website of WBJEEB, that is, Step 2: Then, go to the examination section on the homepage and click on the WBJEE option. Step 3: Scroll down and find the link WBJEE result 2025. Step 4: Fill in all the required details and then click on submit. Step 5: The result will be displayed on your screen. The WBJEE 2025 consisted of three categories of questions — Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3. The marking scheme is different for each category. For every right answer in Category 1, students will be given one mark. While one-fourth mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt. In Category 2, for every right answer, students will be rewarded two marks. Half a mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Similarly, in Category 3, two marks will be given for each right answer. There is no negative marking in this section. The WBJEE is conducted annually for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses at several Universities, Government colleges and institutes in West Bengal. Last year, 1,42,694 aspirants registered for the exam of which 99,574 passed. Kingshuk Patra had topped the exam.

Covid-19 Cases Live Updates: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, seven new Covid-19-related deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, three from Maharashtra, and two each from Delhi and Karnataka. A total of 564 new cases were recorded since yesterday, taking the overall active cases tally to nearly 5,000, as per the latest data released by the ministry. Major states affected: Kerala continues to report the highest number of active cases at 1,487, followed by Delhi with 562 and Maharashtra with 526. Other states showing a rise in active cases include Gujarat (508), West Bengal (538), Karnataka (436), Uttar Pradesh (198), and Rajasthan (103). Notably, Karnataka recorded an increase of 112 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will close the round 1 registration window for First-Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions today at 2 pm. Once done, the Board will release the provisional general merit list. Students who are interested and registered can check the general list on the official website at Candidates will have the opportunity to submit objections and request corrections to the merit list from June 5 to 7, 2025. Following this, a final or revised merit list will be uploaded on June 8, 2025. Step 1: Visit the official website – Step 2: On the homepage, select your region where you have applied Step 3: Click on the 'Merit list (2025-26)' link. Step 4: View the merit list by checking the roll number and name. Step 5: Download and print it for future use. The admissions process covers 8 divisions, including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Note that the Konkan division is excluded from the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). After the merit list is released, candidates must complete an online verification of their documents and submit the fees, as well as fill out the undertaking forms. Students with a quota will have the two-seat allotment lists under the zero round. It will cover seats under minority management. –Final general merit list: June 8, 2025 –Zero round for quota-based admissions (minority, in-house, management): June 9 to 11, 2025 –First junior college allotment list: June 10, 2025 –Document submission and admission confirmation in colleges: June 11 to 18, 2025 This year, for the first time, the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is being implemented across Maharashtra. This means students from any region can now apply to junior colleges throughout the state using a single, unified online platform. The admission process accommodates approximately 20 lakh seats across the state, with 8.52 lakh seats allocated to the Science stream, 5.40 lakh seats to Commerce, and 6.50 lakh seats to Arts. To improve accessibility, the official portal was briefly taken offline to enable mobile compatibility, ensuring a smoother application process for students. Additionally, the government introduced a dedicated helpline number and email ID to assist with CAP-related queries, providing further support to applicants.
