Prestige Group aims 59% growth in FY26 sales bookings at Rs 27,000 crore

Business Standard21 hours ago

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd has set a target to sell properties worth Rs 27,000 crore this fiscal year, an increase of 59 per cent from the previous year, as it remains bullish on housing demand.
Bengaluru-based Prestige Estates Projects' sales bookings declined 19 per cent annually to Rs 17,023 crore in the 2024-25 fiscal year on delays in regulatory approvals to launch its projects.
The company had given a sales bookings guidance of Rs 24,000 crore for the last fiscal year, but it missed the target by a huge margin.
In a conference call with analysts, Prestige Estates Chairman Irfan Razack said the company has set a conservative pre-sales target of Rs 27,000 crore for the current fiscal year.
"So the strategy is I would rather under-promise and over-deliver," Razack told analysts, as per the call transcript uploaded on the stock exchanges.
"...see, now what has happened is we had kept a target of Rs 24,000 crore for FY25, which of course, we fell short of. But I think this first quarter itself will give us some Rs 12,000-13,000 crore. So I believe we should cross Rs 25,000 crore, maybe Rs 27,000 crore... But I think let's take Rs 27,000 crore and go along for the year," Razack said.
He said the company has inventories of Rs 20,000 crore in its ongoing projects and has a strong launch pipeline of projects worth Rs 42,000 crore for the current fiscal year.
Prestige Estates Executive Director Zyad Noaman explained that the fall in pre-sales number last fiscal year was "largely due to the deferred launches".
"However, this was offset by strong pricing power, average realisation for residential apartments, villas and commercial products rose 36 per cent year-on-year to Rs 14,113 per square foot, while plotted development saw a 50 per cent year-on-year increase," said Noaman.
Looking ahead, he said the company has entered FY26 with renewed momentum.
"Q1 has already seen a strong start with the launch of The Prestige City Indirapuram, a marquee township development in NCR with a GDV (gross development value) of Rs 9,000 crore, of which we have already sold over Rs 6,500 crore," Noaman said.
According to its investors presentation, Prestige Estates will launch multiple housing projects across major cities this fiscal year with an estimated revenue of more than Rs 42,000 crore, as it looks to expand business to capitalise on strong consumer demand.
The company plans to launch as many as 25 residential projects this financial year having 44.8 million sq ft of developable area with an estimated GDV of Rs 42,120 crore.
These projects are lined up in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Goa.
During the 2024-25 financial year, the company launched lesser projects due to delays in regulatory approvals.
Prestige Estates launched 26.28 million sq ft during the last fiscal year, primarily with a combined Gross Development Value of Rs 26,222.8 crore.
On the financial performance front, Prestige Estates net profit fell sharply to Rs 467.5 crore in the previous fiscal year from Rs 1,374.1 crore in the preceding year.
Total income, too, declined to Rs 7,735.5 crore in the last fiscal year from Rs 9,425.3 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal year.
Prestige Group has developed more than 300 projects so far and is constructing a large number of properties across major states.

Tolins Tyres surges after reporting all-time high monthly production in May'25

Tolins Tyres zoomed 14.62% to Rs 170.90 after the company reported its highest-ever monthly production milestone of 816 metric tons (MT) in May 2025, driven by robust demand and improved plant efficiency. The record output included 46,599 units (252 MT) of tyres and 17,714 units (564 MT) of Precured Tread Rubber (PCTR), marking a new peak for the company. This performance surpassed earlier highs of 683 MT in March 2025 and 682 MT in April 2025, translating to a 23% month-on-month growth in volume and a 19.5% rise in production weight. The companys best-performing SKU during the month was the POWER DLX, underscoring its segment leadership and rising market acceptance. The management attributed the growth to strategic planning, operational efficiency, and consistent demand from both domestic replacement markets and institutional buyers. Dr. KV Tolin, Promoter, Chairman and Managing Director, Tolins Tyres, said "We are happy to report that this month's output was the highest in Tolins Tyres' history. Our entire team's unwavering efforts have led directly to this achievement. It also shows how much more trust our clients have in our goods and services. Timely execution, strategic planning, and operational efficiency were crucial. It has been great to see the increase in demand both domestically and abroad. We've observed steady growth in all of our major markets, particularly in the PCTR and tire sectors. This month's top-performing SKU was the POWER DLX, which did remarkably well. To stay ahead of the curve, we consistently invest in quality improvements and technology. This accomplishment inspires us to aim even higher in the months ahead. We remain focused on scaling our capabilities, expanding market reach, and delivering excellence in every tyre we produce". Maruti Suzuki Shares Falls On e-Vitara Delay, Cuts Production Target; Key Points

Last Updated: Shares of Maruti Suzuki fell following reports that the launch of its much-anticipated e-Vitara electric SUV is likely to be delayed Shares of Maruti Suzuki fell 1% to Rs 12,427 on June 11, following reports that the launch of its much-anticipated e-Vitara electric SUV is likely to be delayed. According to sources cited by CNBC-TV18, the setback comes amid China's tightening of export controls on rare earth magnets—a move viewed as a strategic response to US-led trade pressures under the Trump administration. As a result, India's largest carmaker has scaled back its electric vehicle (EV) production targets for FY26, reducing the goal from 88,000 units to 67,000 units. The initial plan to produce 26,500 EVs by September this year has also been cut to just 8,200 units, sources said. Despite the early hiccups, Maruti Suzuki expects production to ramp up from October onwards, aiming to meet the revised full-year target. While the e-Vitara is already under production, current volumes remain constrained. The e-Vitara, Maruti's first electric SUV, was initially set for launch in overseas markets like Japan and Europe before arriving in India. The delay could temporarily impact the company's domestic electrification strategy, although sources maintain that Maruti's long-term plans remain unchanged. Maruti is not alone in facing these challenges. Two-wheeler majors Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor Company have also expressed concerns, warning that production may stall as early as next month due to the magnet shortage. 'With China accounting for nearly 90% of global magnet output, finding substitutes is neither easy nor quick," said Shrirdhar Kallani of Axis Securities. 'Alternatives from Malaysia, Vietnam, or Australia lack scale and cost competitiveness, and testing and validating new sources could take years." Meanwhile, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated from Bern, Switzerland, that India is actively exploring alternatives through diplomatic efforts and supply chain development. The Indian embassy has initiated discussions with Chinese authorities, and the commerce ministry is engaged in resolving the issue. At around 9:45 am, Maruti Suzuki shares were trading at Rs 12,485, down 0.3% from the previous close. However, the stock remains up 11% so far in 2025. First Published:
