Photo by J Jackson COIMBATORE: Members of the queer community conducted an art exhibition cum cultural programme in Coimbatore city on Saturday showcasing the diverse talents and perspectives within the LGBTQIA+ community. The art exhibition offered a dedicated platform for LGBTQIA+ artists to present their works highlighting queer identities, experiences and narratives. As many as 30 paintings, all with the theme of queer community, by around 15 artists were displayed at the exhibition held in a hotel in the city. Some of the paintings reflected the supressed emotions of transgender people and their quest to find an identity. The exhibition was aimed at encouraging a broader and more inclusive understanding of human diversity within families, communities, and the public.
