Man dead after mid-morning shooting in Prince George's County
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. () — Police in Prince George's County are at the scene of a deadly shooting that happened in the middle of the morning on Friday.
Details remain limited, however, in a social media post made just before 11 a.m., the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) said officers were at the scene in the 7000 block of Allentown Road.

PGPD had responded an hour earlier — at around 10 a.m. — to the report of a shooting. There, they found a man outside on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives were working to establish a potential motive and identify suspects into the late morning and early afternoon. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Prince George's County Crime Solvers.

Queens dogs stolen after bizarre botched robbery
What started as a robbery caper in Queens quickly turned into a dognapping disaster, cops said. A desperate dog lover is trying to track down his precious purloined pooches days after an armed thieves tried to rob him and his friend on a Queens street, but ended up swiping the man's pets. The 31-year-old victim managed to get away from the would-be captors, but the suspects got hold of the victim's phone — and the keys to his apartment. Hours later, the crooks let themselves into the victim's home, and walked off with about $6,000 worth of clothes — and two French bulldogs, cops said. 'I was thinking I was going to die,' the dog owner, who wished not to be named, told the Daily News. Police have released surveillance images of the two crooks in the hopes that someone recognizes them. The thieves did not know either the dog owner or his friend, but were trying to maximize their score by forcing one victim to reach out to the other, a police source with knowledge of the case said. The ordeal began Saturday along Crane St., a small, one-block-long stretch in Long Island City, when the two suspects approached the dog owner's 27-year-old friend, who was on a bike, and forced him into a car at gunpoint, cops said. After punching him several times, the crooks took his iPhone and about $800, then used the phone to text the dog owner, who the bike rider was heading over to meet. A short time later, the unsuspecting dog owner appeared. He was also forced into the car, where he was beaten and robbed. But he managed to escape, just as one of the robbers was trying to bind him with zip ties, he recalled. 'I grabbed the gun and started punching and fighting one of them,' he said about his ordeal. 'The other guy jumped into the car and we were all fighting for the gun. They were screaming, 'Shoot him! Shoot him!'' The dog owner managed to get out of the car and run across the street. 'They panicked and sped off,' he said. 'I dropped my phone and my keys.' As for his friend, he said the robbers later pushed him out of the car in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The dog owner went to his sister's house to decompress after the robbery. But by the time he got home, he realized he had been robbed again, he said. The thieves managed to figure out that the dog owner lived on the block where the robbery occurred and took something far more valuable to him than his phone. They took his two best friends. The thieves pretended to be delivering food in the building to get past the doorman as they made their way up to his apartment. They left with the dogs shortly before their victim returned home, the victim said. 'We just missed each other by minutes. They were caught on video,' the dog owner said. No arrests have been made. 'I find it difficult to talk about them because it makes me want to cry,' he added. 'I feel like I failed my dogs, I haven't been able to eat because I think of my dogs not being fed.' Gone are Cookie Monster, a 4-year-old male bulldog, and Pinky, a 3-year-old female. Their owner has been posting pictures on local streets and all across social media. 'I've been doing as much as I can,' he said. 'I just want my kids back.' Cops recovered surveillance images of the two suspects. One is described as between 20 and 25, around 5-foot-8 and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a Chicago Bulls cap, a black surgical mask and a black sweater. His partner is in his late 20s, around 6 feet tall and about 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap and a gray sweater. Multiple people charged, $130K in stolen items recovered in Berkeley County ‘chop shops' bust
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Multiple people are facing charges in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged chop shops operating in Berkeley County, authorities said Friday. The investigation, which began in May after several thefts were reported in the Ridgeville and Lebanon areas, led deputies to two properties where approximately $130,000 in stolen vehicles and equipment were found, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. The following individuals were charged as part of the investigation: Hunter Driggers-Moore – Possession of Stolen Vehicles James Threatt – Receiving Stolen Goods Daniel Threatt – Receiving Stolen Goods Bradley Billham – Possession of Stolen Vehicles Timmy Lee Condrey – Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Fentanyl, nine counts of Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, two counts of Receiving Stolen Goods over $10,000, Operation of a Chop Shop, and Possession of Vehicle with a Tampered VIN Fred Jimmy Condrey – Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana Michelle Elizabeth Condrey – Possession of Fentanyl Joseph Edward Bryan – Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine Colleen Elizabeth Reese – Possession of Fentanyl Authorities said deputies responded to a call on May 21 from a victim who saw his stolen dump truck being driven in Moncks Corner. He followed it to a residence on Horseshoe Drive, where the driver, later identified as Driggers-Moore, fled the scene. Deputies executed a search warrant at the home and found the stolen truck, a Honda motorcycle, and a U-Haul trailer. Two residents, James and Daniel Threatt, were arrested on site. Driggers-Moore was taken into custody the following day. Berkeley County cracks down on boat landing violations under new ordinance Billham was arrested May 23 at his residence on Farrell Street, where deputies discovered another motorcycle with a tampered ignition. A subsequent search warrant recovered a stolen motorcycle and yielded evidence of an 'active motorcycle chop shop,' according to authorities. A chop shop is where parts are stripped from stolen items — often vehicles — to be resold. The investigation continued, and deputies executed a third search warrant on June 4 at a Destiny Lane property in Cross. There, deputies recovered a Takeuchi skid steer, a Kubota side-by-side, and other 'heavily altered' items believed to be stolen. Authorities said an additional search warrant resulted in the seizure of thousands of dollars in cash, 11 firearms, approximately 363 grams of Methamphetamine, approximately 245 grams of Marijuana, and approximately 14 grams of Fentanyl. 'This is a great example of teamwork between our investigative units,' said Sheriff Duane Lewis. 'Thanks to solid detective work and community involvement, we shut down two chop shops and recovered valuable stolen property that might have otherwise been lost.' The sheriff's office said they are still searching for another man, Jack Ronald Turner III, who is wanted on theft-related charges. The investigation remains ongoing. Police: Four people found dead in possible murder-suicide at Manassas Park apartment
MANASSAS PARK, Va. () — Police in Manassas Park are investigating after four people were found dead inside an apartment on Thursday night. Manassas Park police told DC News Now that officers were called to a home in the 9400 block of Lanae Lane for a welfare check around 10 p.m. on June 5. Upon entering a basement apartment, police officers located two adults and two minors dead.
