Russia plans to launch intercontinental ballistic missile on Sunday, Kyiv says
Ukraine's military intelligence agency said that Russia was planning to conduct a 'training and combat' launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile late on Sunday to intimidate Ukraine and the West.
The GUR agency said in a statement on the Telegram app that the launch was ordered to be implemented from Russia's Sverdlovsk region, adding that the flight range for the missile was more than 10,000 kilometers (6,200 miles).

KYIV: Ukraine will send a delegation to Istanbul for a new round of direct peace talks with Russia on Monday, President Volodymyr Zelensky said, even as Russia pounded Ukraine with a missile strike that killed 12 soldiers and the biggest drone assault of the three-year war. In a statement on Telegram, Zelensky said Sunday that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will lead the Ukrainian delegation. 'We are doing everything to protect our independence, our state and our people,' Zelensky said. Ukrainian authorities in Sumy ordered mandatory evacuations in 11 more settlements Saturday as Russian forces make steady gains in the area. Speaking Saturday, Ukraine's top army chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that Russian forces were focusing their main offensive efforts on Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Lyman in the Donetsk region, as well as the Sumy border area.

Russia launched 472 drones at Ukraine overnight, Ukraine's air force said on Sunday, the highest nightly total of the war so far, a day before the two sides were due to meet for talks in Istanbul. The air force said in a statement that Russia had also launched seven missiles. It added that 382 of the drones were shot down or otherwise neutralized, along with three of the missiles. Zelenskyy says Ukraine will attend talks with Russia in Istanbul on Monday
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday that Ukraine will attend a meeting in Istanbul on Monday proposed by Russia. 'I outlined (Ukraine's) positions ahead of the meeting in Istanbul on Monday,' Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram after meeting with his officials. He added that the Ukrainian delegation would once again be headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
