New Israeli strikes reported by media despite Trump's command to stop
WASHINGTON, June 24 — Iranian and Israeli media reported new Israeli airstrikes on Iran today, despite US President Donald Trump having said Israel had called them off at his command to preserve an hours-old ceasefire.
Two explosions were heard in the capital, the judiciary news outlet Mizan reported. Israeli army radio said Israel had struck an Iranian radar site near Tehran.
The strikes took place minutes after Trump said Israel had called off its attack in response to his command.
'All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly 'Plane Wave' to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!' Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
Trump had earlier accused both Israel and Iran of violating the ceasefire, while expressing particular frustration with Israel which had announced major new strikes on Tehran.
'Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do it it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home, now!' Trump wrote on Truth Social shortly after he left the White House for a trip to a Nato summit in The Hague.
Before boarding, Trump told reporters he was 'not happy' with either side for violating the truce, but particularly with Israel, which he said had launched huge strikes in response to a single missile launch which might have been unintentional.
'I've got to get Israel to calm down now,' Trump said as he left the White House.
Iran and Israel had been fighting 'so long and so hard that they don't know what the fuck they're doing,' he said before turning away from cameras and heading to his helicopter.
Israeli media reported that Trump spoke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by phone. A reporter for Axios said that Netanyahu had told Trump that Israel would scale back the bombing mission rather than cancel it. There was no immediate word from Netanyahu's office.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz had said earlier today that he had ordered the military to mount new strikes on targets in Tehran in response to what he said were Iranian missiles fired in a 'blatant violation' of the ceasefire.
Iran denied launching any missiles and said Israel's attacks had continued for an hour and a half beyond the time the ceasefire was meant to start. — Reuters

If the Zionist regime does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will not do so, Pezeshkian said in a telephone conversation with the prime minister of Malaysia on Tuesday after a ceasefire put a halt to 12 days of Israeli aggression against Iran and to the Islamic Republics retaliatory missile strikes. Pezeshkian said the Zionist regime and its supporters had hoped to create dissatisfaction among Iranians. However, the Iranian people demonstrated that, despite some problems, they remain united against enemy aggression. The Israeli regime attacked Iran amid the indirect negotiations between Iran and the US in the mistaken belief that Tehran lacked the capacity to respond and would surrender within a few days, the president added. The Zionist regime and its supporters also relied on inciting dissatisfaction and mobilizing the Iranian people, Pezeshkian added, his official website reported. He also lashed out at the self-proclaimed advocates of human rights and civilization for observing the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Iranian scientists and ordinary people. When the Zionist regime failed to achieve its objectives, the US directly participated in anti-Iran crimes and, contrary to all international rules, attacked Iranian nuclear sites, the president said. Pezeshkian also stressed that Iran regards all neighboring and regional countries as friends and brothers, and has always sought to deepen and strengthen relations and cooperation with them. Malaysia's Iran Stand Upholds Global Justice Principles
WORLD KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's stance in supporting Iran's right to defend its sovereignty following attacks by Israel is seen as appropriate and consistent with the principles of universal justice and international law. International affairs and political analyst from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Prof Dr Mohd Azizuddin Mohd Sani, said Iran's retaliation against Israel's attacks is justified under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which recognises the right to self-defence. 'Iran's act of self-defence is legitimate under international law, whereas Israel's attacks clearly violate that law. Therefore, Malaysia's position in supporting Iran in this context is appropriate and grounded in the principles of global justice,' he said. He was speaking as a guest on Bernama TV's Ruang Bicara programme on the topic, 'Iran-Israel (Rogue State) Conflict: A Spark for World War? aired tonight. Malaysia had earlier expressed concern over the rising tensions between Iran and Israel, with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reiterating that violence is not a viable solution. However, within the framework of universal justice, Malaysia recognises Iran's right to respond to any form of aggression that violates its sovereignty.
