Brentford boss Thomas Frank has emerged as Tottenham's leading candidate to replace Ange Postecoglou as manager.Multiple sources have told BBC Sport that Spurs are strongly interested in Frank and that initial work has been already been undertaken to enquire about his availability.Frank has a good relationship with Spurs technical director and fellow Dane Johan Lange, which could be a deciding factor when club chairman Daniel Levy comes to decide who he appoints.But the likes of Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner and Fulham's Marco Silva are among others understood to be in the frame.And Tottenham have even given consideration to reappointing former manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is currently in charge of the United States.Read more here

The drop, which followed England reaching the 2023 Women's World Cup final, contributed to pre-tax losses of £28m - up from £21m in 2022-23. However, Deloitte is forecasting revenues to top £100m across the league at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, helped by the upcoming Euros in Switzerland, "Women's football in England is evolving rapidly," said Tim Bridge, lead partner in the Deloitte Sports Business Group."While challenges remain, it is clear there is potential for a passionate and engaged fanbase to drive the game's development."Capitalising on major international tournaments is important at specific points in time, but sustainable growth hinges on the domestic league's organic development."Bridge added that a "competitive balance is a key priority" if the WSL is to sustain long-term growth, with the gap widening between the top-earning clubs and the lowest-earning clubs in the league. Chelsea are to make an improved offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens after their opening £29.5m bid was rejected. Dortmund want somewhere in the region of £40m for the former Manchester City youth prospect. The Blues are hoping to sign him before Tuesday's deadline to play in the Club World Cup and are prepared to offer a seven-year contract. City hold a 10 per cent sell-on clause for the 20-year-old, who left the club's academy in 2020 for Dortmund. Gittens, who also had brief spells at Chelsea and Reading as a youngster, made his senior debut in the Bundesliga days after his 18th birthday. He has racked up 106 appearances since, scoring 17 goals. Although, his breakout campaign came this past season, over the course of which he scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 48 games. Chelsea have also offered £12.6m for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Meanwile, Arsenal are finalising the £5m signing of Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga. Chelsea are interested in a number of defensive options, including Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi. As well as Guehi, Chelsea remain keen on Jorrel Hato of Ajax. The highly rated centre-back made his senior debut at just 16 years old and became an undisputed starter for the Eredivisie side last season. Now 19, Hato has been appointed as one of Ajax's vice-captains, and was named Eredivisie Talent of the Year in 2024-25.
