I don't want to play a 50-year-old: Gaurav M Sharma on exiting Jhanak

Gaurav M Sharma Gaurav M Sharma joined Jhanak just a month ago, but his role has ended owing to the time leap that the show has just taken. While he is understandably disappointed, he is clear that he doesn't want to play an older character. 'Jhanak has taken a 20- year leap and I wouldn't want to play a 50-year-old guy. I quit Anupamaa earlier for the same reason,' he says. The actor shares that he has consistently tried to avoid being typecast, yet he's often offered grey or negative characters. He says, 'After I played the antagonist in Diya Aur Baati Hum, makers thought of me for similar roles. I wanted to break that stereotype and hence took a break. After a short hiatus, I acted in OTT shows, but later realised how TV is a mass medium and lucrative. Today, I am glad that I am offered different kinds of roles. ' He adds, 'I'm not limiting myself to just TV. I want to do more OTT and films, but TV is a great mass medium, and it helps me survive.' Currently, the show has taken a leap and Arjit Taneja and Riya Sharma are playing the lead roles. The current track focusses on how Jhanak's daughter is now 18 years old and they both live in the same village. In Kolkata, Arshi's daughter has grown up and she works as a teacher in college. Arjit Taneja plays a police inspector and he is posted in the same village where Jhanak lives with her daughter. Enjoy The New Hindi Music Video For Humnava By Gaurav Sharma And Kriti Sharma

Malayalam Actress… Here we are talking about Malayalam actress Monisha Unni , who is one of six female recipients to receive the National Award . She was the sole daughter of renowned Mohiniyattam performer Sridevi Unni and Narayan Unni . Like her mother, Monisha excelled in dance as well. She began her dance training at the tender age of five. Though born in Kozhikode, her father operated a leather business in Bangalore. Monisha attended the well-known Bishop Cotton School in Bangalore. At 14, she acted in a short film titled Bhavaya . Monisha And Her Cinematic Career After this, family friend and director M.T. Vasudevan Nair spotted her performance in short film and cast her in his classic film Nakkakshathangal . Monisha earned the National Award for this film when she was only 16, a remarkable achievement for such a young actress. In the subsequent six years, she appeared in around 25 films, collaborating with many prominent directors like Priyadarshan, Kamal, and Hariharan. All her films received a positive response from the audience. Monisha also ventured into Tamil cinema. Her debut Tamil film was Pookkal Vidum Thudhu , after which she had a minor role in Dravidan alongside Sathyaraj . In 1992, the film Unnai Nenachen Pattu Padhichen helped her gain recognition among Tamil viewers. The film's songs, particularly the duets with Karthik, became very popular. Interestingly, in this film her character dies midway through the film, which tragically mirrors her real-life fate a few months later. The Tragic Incident Monisha Unni was filming Malayalam movie Cheppadividya when she tragically lost her life in a car accident. On December 5, 1992 , a vehicle carrying Monisha and her mother, Sreedevi Unni, crashed with a KSRTC bus at the X-Ray Bypass Junction close to Cherthala in Alappuzha district, Kerala. At the time of the accident, she was resting in the back seat. While her mother, Sreedevi, was ejected from the car, she sustained only bruises and fractures. Unfortunately, Monisha died within moments from a cervical fracture to her spine. Witnesses reported that Monisha was bleeding from her nose and ears. Despite being transported to the nearby KVM hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Later, her body was brought back to her native place where thousands attended her funeral.
