Saelemaekers wants to stay at Roma
After years of waiting, Roma seems to have finally found two high-level wingers with Angeliño and Alexis Saelemaekers, capable of guaranteeing quality, pace and reliability on both flanks.
To find such an impactful pair, we have to go back to 2014, when the team had Maicon and Lucas Digne.
Ranieri can say he is satisfied with the contribution of both, but it is above all Saelemaekers who has surprised with his immediate impact.
Arriving in the final days of the summer transfer window, the Belgian initially played little: only 60 minutes against Juventus and 50 with Genoa, in the match that marked De Rossi's farewell to the Giallorossi bench.
However, after overcoming physical problems and an initial period of adaptation, the former Milan winger took control of the right flank, where Roma had never found a true master between Celik, Abdulhamid and El Shaarawy.
The numbers speak for themselves: 5 goals and 3 assists in 11 league games, plus another assist in the Coppa Italia. A growth that has pushed Roma to start contacts with Milan to discuss his future. Saelemaekers arrived on loan, so a real negotiation will be necessary to keep him.
For his part, the player has already made it known that he is happy in the capital: he has found an ideal environment, modern training facilities and a united group that he considers like a family, writes Corriere dello Sport.
His priority is to continue wearing the Giallorossi shirt and Roma is determined to keep a player who has proven to be decisive.

Milan run into problems for Vlahovic, Rabiot and Zinchenko
Milan are trying to give Max Allegri reinforcements, but Adrien Rabiot wants to stay at Olympique Marseille, while Dusan Vlahovic and Oleksandr Zinchenko salaries are a problem. The coach has taken a year off after the tempestuous end to his Juve experience and is back on the bench next season at San Siro. Milan targets too costly epa11726450 France's midfielder Adrien Rabiot (C) celebrates after scoring the opening goal during the UEFA Nations League soccer match between Italy and France at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan, Italy, 17 November 2024. EPA-EFE/DANIEL DAL ZENNARO According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Allegri wants to reunite with Rabiot, but that will be practically impossible. Advertisement This is because Olympique Marseille do not want to sell, but the player also is comfortable at his current club and has no real intention of leaving already. When it comes to the strikers, Vlahovic remains the first choice, though here too there are bound to be some major problems. That is caused by his salary, which is also the main reason why Juventus are trying to sell this summer rather than renew the contract that expires in June 2026. An alternative to Vlahovic for that role would be Atalanta hitman and Serie A Capocannoniere Mateo Retegui. However, here too the wages he is currently earning at Arsenal are considered outlandish for the Rossoneri, who failed to qualify for Europe and therefore took a hit to their revenue.
