After securing the renewals of Aron Yaakobishvili and Jofre Torrents earlier this month, FC Barcelona have now tied down yet another La Masia jewel to a new contract.
Indeed, the Blaugrana have officially confirmed that midfield prodigy Brian Farinas has signed a new contract with the club until 2028.

'FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Brian Farinas for a contract extension, which will keep him at the Club for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2028,' the statement from the club read.
'This means that the 19-year-old midfielder from Benicarló will remain with the club after his youth career ends.'
Farinas signed for Barcelona's fabled La Masia youth setup in 2018, arriving from Villarreal. The midfield prodigy has enjoyed a steady rise through the ranks at the Catalan club and went on to make his debut for Barça Atletic last year even while being a part of the youth setup.

The 19-year-old versatile midfielder continued to be a key member of the Juvenil A team this term while also featuring seven times for Barça Atletic in the RFEF Primera Division.
Farinas' previous contract stood to expire at the end of the current season, leading to interest from several clubs.
However, Barcelona have secured the youngster's future for three more years, with the player set to be a full-fledged member of the reserve team next season.

Barcelona secure future: Yamal, 17, pens six-year deal worth €15m/season

Barcelona have officially announced a new long-term contract for Lamine Yamal, tying the 17-year-old winger to the club until June 2031. The teenager signed the deal on Tuesday at the club's offices, with president Joan Laporta, vice-president Rafa Yuste and sporting director Deco present. Advertisement Yamal's extension follows a breakout campaign that saw him help Barcelona secure a domestic treble in Hansi Flick's first season in charge. He made 55 appearances across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists as the Catalan giants won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup. Having made his first-team debut at just 15, Yamal has already played 106 matches for Barcelona, becoming the youngest player in club history to reach 100 appearances. He is also the youngest ever goalscorer in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Super Cup, and has been involved in several crucial victories, including four Clasico wins this season. Advertisement Yamal's influence stretches beyond club level. He was part of the Spain squad that won Euro 2024 in Berlin and has already earned 19 senior international caps. Barcelona described the renewal as a 'demonstration of the solidity' of their project, stating that Yamal's emergence 'is already part of club history.' The club's decision to secure the forward on a long-term basis also underscores their confidence in his role as a central figure in their future plans. Yamal joined La Masia at the age of seven and has developed into one of the most exciting young talents in world football. Reports suggest the new deal will make Yamal the third-highest earner at Barcelona, with an annual salary of €15 million, behind only Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong. Advertisement Once he turns 18 in July, his salary will reportedly increase from a previously agreed €5 million to the new figure, with bonuses potentially pushing his earnings close to €20 million per year. Barcelona have also recently renewed contracts for manager Flick and forward Raphinha, as they look to solidify the foundations of a new era at the Camp Nou. With Yamal now secured, attention is expected to turn to the futures of fringe players such as Ansu Fati and Pau Victor.
