Pete Davidson Detailed The Grueling Process Of Getting His Tattoos Removed And Hinted That He Regrets 'All' Of The Ink He Got Done 'Before Rehab'

Yahoo07-02-2025

If you keep up with Pete Davidson, you'll be aware that he's currently in the process of getting his tattoos removed.
As in, like, 200 tattoos 'burned off' his skin. Yeah.
Pete revealed in 2023 that he'd started getting rid of his ink because of how long it takes to get them covered up for movies. He reportedly started the removal process in 2020.
"It takes like three hours — you have to get there three hours earlier to cover all your tattoos, because for some reason, people in movies, they don't have them that much," he shared.
"Burning them off is worse than getting them. Because not only are they, like, burning off your skin, but you're wearing these big goggles, right? So you can't see anything and the doctor's in there with you.'
And now, the 31-year-old comedian has opened up a little further about the grueling removal process during a new appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Pete began by admitting that he didn't realize just how long the tattoo removal process would take.
'I didn't realize it would take. Like, when I'm 40, it'll all be gone, like the chest and the back,' he quipped.
The Saturday Night Live alum then went on to reveal that it takes 'at least seven visits' to get each tattoo removed. Ouch!
'It's at least seven visits. If it's black and white, it's a little easier, but if it's a color tattoo, it takes forever,' he shared.
When asked by Seth if there were any specific tattoos that he was glad to be getting rid of, Pete replied, 'All of them.'
'Well I made a lot of those decisions when, you know, before rehab. So I got the dumbest tattoos,' he said.
Going on to reveal some of the silliest tattoos he got, Pete said, 'I got a collection of cartoons smoking blunts. Like, a Muppet smoking a blunt, the Tootsie Pop owl smoking a blunt…Yeah, it's not great.'
This comes shortly after Pete shared a glimpse at what his body looks like as he continues to get his ink removed.
Last week, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Pete rolled one of his sleeves up to reveal his tattoo-free arm. He shared of the removal process: 'It's horrible. It's worse [than getting a tattoo]. They gotta burn off a layer of your skin, and then it has to heal for six to eight weeks, and you can't get in the sunlight. And then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times."

Dakota Johnson Wears a Completely transparent Skirt Set for a Late-Night Appearance in NYC

Dakota Johnson turned heads in New York City yesterday, wearing a transparent two-piece look while en route to Late Night with Seth Meyers. The actress was photographed leaving the Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca in a black tulle top and matching midi skirt by Albanian designer Nensi Dojaka, layered over a brown strapless bodysuit. She styled the look with pointed black slingback pumps, gold hoop earrings, and black angular sunglasses. Her Gucci Jackie 1961 shoulder bag in brown complemented the neutral tones of the ensemble. The outfit, styled by Kate Young, was one of several transparent looks Johnson has worn this week while promoting her upcoming film Materialists, directed by Past Lives filmmaker Celine Song. On May 30, the actress was spotted wearing a transparent black bodysuit by Commando, paired with a suede Khaite jacket and gold-framed oval sunglasses. This is just the latest in Johnson's standout press tour style streak. At Cannes last month, she wore a series of outstanding looks, including a semi-sheer Saint Laurent slip dress and a bubble-gum-pink fringe Gucci gown. She also made headlines earlier this week for wearing a plunging blazer minidress during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon—which she jokingly covered up with tissues mid-interview. The Madame Web star's appearance came just one day after reports surfaced that she and longtime partner Chris Martin had ended their relationship. The breakup news followed a public shout-out from Martin, who told a Coldplay concert crowd on June 1, 'Don't forget to go see Materialists,' in a fan's clip shared on social media. The film, which stars Johnson alongside Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans, is set to be released June 13. Neither Johnson nor Martin has commented publicly on the split, though sources told People that it 'feels final this time.' George Clooney says his kids 'don't care' about his fame: 'They just want to see Taylor Swift...'

George Clooney's kids "don't care" about his fame. The 64-year-old actor - who has eight-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with his wife Amal Clooney - has been one of the biggest names in Hollywood for decades but admitted that his children are not fazed by the circles he moves in. They want to see Taylor Swift. The funniest part is that they have no idea of references. Robert DeNiro will be at the house and they're like 'Who's that?' They don't care!" The former ER star made his Broadway debut in the new play Good Night, and Good Luck and while he lost out the Tony Award for Best Actor to Oh, Mary! actor Cole Escala, he insisted that he is just as "lucky" to have the support of his wife in the first place. He said: "I have this incredible partner who I couldn't be more proud of. "She's the bravest human being I've ever met in my life. I am deeply proud of her and the fact that she's in any way proud of me, if just, I can't believe how lucky I am." George had to shave his famed salt-and-pepper locks for his role as Edward R. Murrow in the play, and joked that he had to use a "weed whacker" to achieve the look. He said: "I had to cut it all out with a weed whacker to get it all. "That black hair dye, I had to cut it out. You can't color that." Howver, George was keen to revert to his usual looks in time for the awards. Speaking on Late Night with Seth Myers, he said: "We do a matinee, and then by the time we go to the Tonys that night, it'll be gone. "I may have a shaved head!" What's more, Amal made it clear to George that she was not really a fan of his new look either. Speaking on CBS Mornings, George said: "It's not my favorite look, and my wife, she thinks it's funny. "Honestly, nothing makes you look older than being 63 and dyeing your hair!"
