The Irish striker is currently out of favour at Brighton and Hove Albion after a less-than-successful loan spell at West Ham United last season.
Ferguson made a noticeable impact in the 2022/23 season, netting 10 goals in 25 matches.

However, his future remains uncertain, with several pundits suggesting a potential move to Celtic.
McCoist, a former professional footballer and manager, expressed his concern about this prospect.
He said [Scottish Sun]: "I'm a fan.
"I want him to get fit.
"I really like Evan Ferguson, and I really want him to get fit and stay fit.
"He can finish.
"Out of all the younger ones coming through, I thought Evan Ferguson was the one to watch.
"Obviously, he's got one or two injuries going on that have held him back a bit, but if he keeps himself fit, he will score goals anywhere.
"The unfortunate thing for my mob [Rangers] is, he could come in and hurt us.
"Definitely.
"It wouldn't surprise me at all.
"I'm a big fan."
Shay Given, who spent time at Celtic as a teenager, also believes Ferguson would be a good fit for the Scottish Premiership champions.
He said: "Evan just needs to find a home, if I'm being honest.
"Be it here [at Celtic] or somewhere else.
"He needs someone to say, 'You're my player.'
"He went to West Ham for Graham Potter and you thought that was the perfect fit because Graham had him at Brighton.
"But then he didn't play so much at West Ham either.
"Michail Antonio and someone else was injured, yet they played Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus - not Ferguson.
"What happens next for Evan?"
Given went on to express his belief in the young striker's potential, suggesting he needs to be the focal point of a team.
He said: "I just think he needs to go, be it a loan for a season or some club buys him, and you build the team around him.
"I think he's a top player, I really do.
"I did some Malaysian TV recently with Bobby Zamora, and he goes into Brighton once a week and coaches the strikers.
"Bobby said Evan was the best finisher at the club.
"I just feel he's ready now to burst onto the scene for a full season with somebody.
"For us, with Ireland, it would be great too."
However, Given admitted he was unsure if Celtic could afford Ferguson, saying: "I don't know if the finances would be to buy him, but if you said for a loan for the season, it would be perfect."

Kyogo gets Celtic tongues wagging with love note as Strelec transfer trigger and Yamada address escalate striker hunt

Business is picking up at Parkhead with Callum Osmand and Bejamin Nygren set to check in Stade Rennes misfit Kyogo Furuhashi has beamed with pride over his time at Celtic with the club searching for a striker. It comes with his future at the Ligue 1 side in major doubt amid reports he could join Birmingham City. ‌ The Scottish champions are set to bring in Fulham talent Callum Osmand this summer - and the 19-year-old looks set to be given the chance to stake a first-team claim this summer. ‌ He will aim to provide competition for Adam Idah and Daizen Maeda next term - but the search for a frontman doesn't appear to have stopped with the prospect. The Japan international struggled to even make the matchday squad in the final weeks of the season - and has yet to find the net for his new club. Reports in France have suggest a move back to Celtic Park could be on the cards - but Birmingham City appear to be leading the race for the 30-year-old after their return to the English Championship. After making an appearance in front of the crowd at FC Gifu - his first professional team - he reflected on his time at Celtic stating to Japanese media:"I'm proud to have played in that environment.' The Parkhead fan favourite also hinted he may not be rushing for the Rennes exit - despite falling down the pecking order under Habib Beye. He said: 'I may not be as visible as a striker, but I think it's my role to lift up the others and work hard.' ‌ A replacement for the Parkhead fan favourite could be on the cards with the door open for David Strelec. He was was the subject of a £7.5m offer from the Hoops in January - with the Slovakian champions holding out for £9million. ‌ Strelec wrapped up the campaign with 25 goals to his name and hasn't been shy in opening the door to a Celtic switch. Director of football Robert Vittek admits that the club could be forced to sell this summer, telling Tvnoviny: "Of course, we won't resist if an offer comes that we will accept, but I'd rather not count on it." Celtic are also reportedly keen on Kawasaki Frontale frontman Shin Yamada this summer. ‌ But the 25-year-old refused to be drawn on the attention from Glasgow's east end - telling Sponichi:"Right now I want to do my best in the next game." Tom Curry urges Lions to make most of Australia tour after Argentina setback

Western Force provide the first opportunity to make amends for the error-strewn opener and Curry, a tourist with the elite of British and Irish rugby in 2021, knows time is of the essence if the team are to be ready to face Australia. Settling in for the long haul ✈️🇦🇺#Lions2025 — British & Irish Lions (@lionsofficial) June 22, 2025 'The thing with this sport and this tour is that it comes and goes so quickly. You've got to make the most of it,' the England flanker said. 'Every meeting and every session. Before you know it we'll be playing in Australia so we can't let moments pass us by. 'We speak a lot about respect with our own team-mates. We've only got six weeks together. Respect is so hard to earn but so easy to lose. 'It's really important that every session and meeting we turn up and push in the right direction. 'We have got to pull tighter, it's the only way. I feel like this group has taken so many steps off the field. I haven't got a bad word to say about anyone.' Against Argentina the Lions showed ambition in attack and dominated at the scrum, but the vast number of handling errors, malfunctioning line-out and vulnerability in the air are areas of pressing concern. Curry, who impressed outside of his own dropped passes, echoed Farrell's warning that a lack of time together must not be seen as a barrier to success on the tour. 'We've nipped that in the bud straight away. You can get to the sixth week and still make the same excuse. Six weeks is not a long time so we can't make that excuse the whole way through,' he said. 'We need to take personal responsibility for our own performances and how excited we get on the ball. 'On the flip side, it's really exciting because we got our hands on the ball and got into great spots. But come on, we need to take personal responsibility for the ball when we have it.' Fin Smith made his Lions debut in Dublin and the England fly-half feels the need to rally as quickly as possible following the disappointment against Argentina. British and Irish Lions' Fin Smith converts (Brian Lawless/PA) 'I'm sure it's not the first time the Lions have not played particularly well in their first outing,' Smith said. 'The main thing is how quickly we can respond and how quickly we can stop feeling sorry for ourselves. We need to get back on the training pitch and get better as quickly as possible. 'No moping about, no sulking. We need to get back on the horse straight away and have conversations that are going to make us better. That's definitely the aim.'

Tom Curry urges Lions to make most of Australia tour after Argentina setback

The Lions arrived in Perth on Sunday smarting from the 28-24 loss at the Aviva Stadium that drew a scathing assessment from head coach Andy Farrell, who refused to blame the squad's lack of familiarity for the setback.
