Headstone plaques stolen and damaged at Stratford cemetery
The Stratford Police Service is looking for whoever is behind a rash of vandalism and thefts at a local cemetery.
Police received several reports between Monday and Wednesday of stolen or damaged headstone plaques at Avondale Cemetery.
Investigators believe the plaques were taken from various parts of the cemetery after May 22.
Two of them are bronze in colour and 10 inches by 10 inches in size.
Another plaque was described as black and gold in colour with a circular shape.
A similar, but square plaque, was also taken.
Police said there are no suspects so far, but anyone with information is asked to reach out.
Those with loved ones interred at the cemetery are asked to check on their headstones.
