Bride reveals bizarre reason she arrived at her wedding in a hearse — and it's not because she thinks marriage kills joy

'Til death do us part.
A bride who arrived at her own wedding in a hearse has revealed the reason she was chauffeured to the church in the unorthodox vehicle.
Daniela Signor, 33, sparked social media chatter with the morbid stunt when she wed her partner Apollo Scariot, 31, earlier this month near Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The newlywed's reason for the hearse hijinks: her new hubby is an undertaker.
'Everyone at the wedding was shocked, but during our vows we explained everything — we read out our story,' Signor told Jam Press. 'Then people understood why I arrived in the hearse.'
Signor explained that she first laid eyes on Scariot at a service for a deceased acquaintance back in April 2023.
Signor was so infatuated with Scariot that she subsequently started attending other burials organized by the funeral director in the hope of catching his eye.
It took more than a year for Scariot to notice the frequent funeral attendee, but the two began dating last summer and are now wed.
'I used to think, 'I'll give the [grieving] family a hug just so I can see him,' you know? But he wasn't always there,' Signor stated.
'He had no idea — I only told him later, when we finally started talking. Then he was like, 'Wait, how did I never notice you before?' He was always so focused on work.'
Scariot says he's shocked by the huge amount of publicity his new bride's wedding hearse stunt has generated, saying funerals are simply a part of their love story.
'We never expected it,' the undertaker uttered. 'We decided to arrive in the hearse from my company because it's part of our story — how we met. So, we were really surprised by the attention it got.'

Neymar apologizes for red card in what could be his last game with Brazilian club Santos

SANTOS, Brazil (AP) — Neymar has apologized for a red card that he says cost Santos a victory in the Brazilian league, claiming that 'desperation' to score led to the mistake in what could be his final match with the club. Neymar was sent off in the 76th minute of Santos' 1-0 loss to Botafogo at home on Sunday after using his hand to score a goal. Neymar's contract with Santos ends at the end of June and Santos plays only one more league game before the break for the Club World Cup. Since Neymar is suspended for the next match and there's still no deal to extend his contract, he may not play for the club again in this stint. Realizing he was not going to reach the ball with his head before a defender could clear it away, Neymar used his right hand to push the ball into the net. The Brazil forward already had a yellow card and was shown his second by the referee, which immediately disallowed the goal. Botafogo then scored the winner in the 86th. 'Desperation to score a goal sometimes leads to mistakes,' Neymar said on Instagram. 'I want to apologize to my teammates and to the fans. I made a mistake, forgive me. If I hadn't been sent off, I'm sure we would have gotten the three points. Congratulations to the team for today's game. You can put these three points on my account.' Neymar did not have a problem with the second yellow but complained about the first one, which came for a foul late in the first half. 'The second yellow card has to be shown, but the referee has to be kidding about the first one,' he said. 'It's one foul and I'm already being shown a yellow.' 'It's incredible how many bad referees there are out there. That's my opinion, please don't punish me even more,' he said, along with a laughing-face emoji. Santos has only two wins in 11 league matches this year and sits in 18th-place in the 20-team standings, inside the relegation zone. ___ AP soccer:

Neymar apologises after red card for handball goal in possible final Santos game

Neymar has apologised after being sent off for attempting to score with his hand in what could be his final game for Santos. The Brazil international forward, 33, was shown a second yellow card in 76th minute of Santos' defeat to Botafogo on Sunday after flicking the ball into the net with his hand as he attempted to bundle it in on the rebound. Advertisement Botafogo players instantly protested, the goal was disallowed and Neymar was booked. Having already been shown a yellow card in first-half stoppage time, he was subsequently sent off. 'The desperation to score a goal sometimes makes us make mistakes,' Neymar later wrote on Instagram. 'I want to apologise to my teammates and also to the fans. 'I made a mistake, forgive me. Today, if I hadn't been sent off, I'm sure we would have gotten the 3 points… The team deserves congratulations for today's game.' Botafogo went on to score the game's only goal 10 minutes later to secure a 1-0 win and leave Santos 18th in the Brazilian Serie A. Neymar's dismissal means he will be suspended for Thursday's trip to Fortaleza, his final match for Santos before his contract expires at the end of June. The Athletic reported in May he had been in talks to extend his contract through to 2026. Sunday's game was just his second league appearance since returning from a hamstring injury sustained in April. Neymar returned to Santos in January on a short-term deal, marking his return to his boyhood club 12 years after departing for Barcelona. He has provided three goals and three assists in 14 appearances for Santos during the 2025 season. ()
