ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)It's the most fun you can have on two wheels and it's happening at Al Hudayriyat Island from Friday afternoon, April 18, to Sunday evening, April 20. So get out your helmets and saddle up for the second edition of the FAB Cycling Festival.There's an array of cycling-related events and activities for the whole family to enjoy.Take part in the exciting FAB Community Ride. For novices, join the Learn to Ride Taster Sessions. More advanced riders can take part in cycling masterclasses, mountain bike and e-bike taster sessions. There's also MyWhoosh indoor racing, spin classes, corporate and school challenges.For tykes on bikes, there's a kids' cycling obstacle course.Happy to be a spectator to the action, witness thrilling BMX trick shows, cheer on participants in the Criterium race, attend bicycle workshops, meet professional cyclists and engage in informative Q&A sessions.
Other entertainment and activities on offer include live bands and singers, rooftop yoga sessions, tree planting, food trucks, a kids' zone and daily raffle draws.

3 June 2025 13:55 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat has honoured Emirati reciters who completed a recording of the Holy Qur'an as part of the Emirati Reciters Quranic Programme, launched in cooperation with Holy Quran Radio to support UAE National reciters and prepare them for local and international initiative aims to graduate proficient reciters of the Holy Qur'an with distinguished voices and seeks to promote and empower Emirati voices within the community. The programme also focuses on developing and showcasing their skills both locally and internationally. A second phase of the initiative will launch in the second quarter of 2025 and this phase will involve the complete recording of a Qur'an recitation by each talented Emirati reciter.
